This 2 story home is minutes away from Lake Michigan, name of the nearby beaches one 2 minute drive ( Roadside beach) and the other 2 miles away (Hagar park beach).

Its location is on a fairly secluded area at the end of a cul-de-sac in a wooded neighborhood. The backyard is surrounded by trees and nature, it includes a playground, patio, grill, table and chairs, and two indoor fire places and one outdoor fire place.
The indoors is recently decorated to bring a ZEN feel helping you relax, unwind, and enjoy the peace it provides.
The home includes 5 bedrooms: four of them on the second floor and a spacious bedroom downstairs with its own private bathroom.
The master bedroom has a king bed, foam mattress and its own private bathroom/shower. Two of the bedrooms upstairs have brand new foam mattresses queen size, while the last one has two bunk beds ( 4 twin beds)

The main living room has a fireplace, large TV, and is connected to a spacious kitchen. The dining room is connected to the second living room if you wish to enjoy reading a book or a drink in a quiet space.

The house has a sunroom, and a yoga/meditation room. The basement is all carpet, minimalistic looking and provides a second fireplace. Washer and dryer are in the basement in a separate area for your convenience. We are

Working on a kids home next to the house. For families with little ones: there is a playpen to help with a baby/ toddler bed, but you’ll need to bring sheets. Also we have two highchairs.

Great location, older house

Host was lovely to work with, location was perfect for our needs - my only hiccup is this is clearly someone's home from the 80s that has bare minimum upgrades done in the 2000s to rent on VRBO, but priced like a premium property run by a super host that knows all the ins and outs of what people want from a short term rental and it's just not that. It's fine and worked out fine but it's not "staged" in anyway besides basic toiletries.If it was half the price or twice as polished I'd say it's an easy recommendation but we paid almost 1k/day to rent this and that is about double what I would find reasonable (in our case we had no choice - meeting 3 other families in the area and had to have a service dog with us and needed to sleep 8-9 people).Reiterating that the host was lovely and responsive for the few times I needed to reach out and I have no idea how much of the cost issue is VRBO marking this up vs Host fees - I can only share my experience from my point of view unfortunately. I do appreciate the host hosting us of course and feel conflicted leaving critical feedback but I think it's fair.

A Nice & Inviting Home!

The host was super responsive and able to accommodate for us. The home was very comfortable and perfect for the 11 adults we had in town for a wedding! Drivable distance to a few beautiful areas in Michigan.

Perfect for a wedding weekend

My family was in town for a wedding and this house was perfect. We used the long kitchen table to serve brunch and we used the outdoor space to gather in the evenings. We also spent time watching the Olympics on the large couch in the living room. Beds were cozy with plenty of pillows and blankets. The space was just right for my parents, siblings and all the kiddos. Thanks!

Great location.

The house is in a quiet neighborhood. Nice Beach about 5 minutes away. We had a fabulous time with family, the dining room table was just a tiny bit too small. But it didn't matter that much. Plenty of room for everybody in the family room area

Family Timeout

We were very happy with the home and everything that was available to us. There was sufficient space, bedrooms and bathrooms for our family. We really enjoyed the outdoor area! Plenty of space for the kids to run and play and a very nice fire pit area for us all in the evenings. We needed restocked on a couple things and we had no issue getting what we needed. The beach was a short drive and was very clean and nice! We recommend this home for families or groups who need lots of space !!

Nice house, great area!

Stayed at this property for a week with a group of friends for an annual golf trip we take every year. The house was clean, well stocked and the description was accurate. The only slight negative feedback that I received from some was that it wasn't as secluded as they would've liked as you can see the neighbor's houses pretty closely from the backyard (this wasn't my expectation so it didn't bother me in the slightest). Overall it was great... really nice area close to lake MI beaches and Sonila was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

Beautiful property close to Lake Michigan

Our family of 6 adults and 3 kids (5,6, & 8 years old) stayed for 3 days. The proximity to the beach allowed a quick trip to see a beautiful sunset on our first night. The following day, we rented a pontoon and enjoyed a day of boating on Paw Paw Lake ( a short 10 minute drive) That night, the kids enjoyed the backyard play area while we had a fire and made s'mores. The next day, we went to Lake Arvesta and tried out their very challenging water park. The property is well located and spacious. The owner was prompt in answering my concerns.

Wonderful vacation house with many amenities

This was an amazing experience! The host was very responsive throughout the process. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed for our vacation and more. Plenty of room to spread out. The basement is finished and carpeted- great for kids to play in or teenagers to retreat to. The pictures do not do the backyard justice! It has two sitting areas, a grill, fire pit, and play set. The kitchen was a dream to prepare meals in, and there was plenty of fridge space with the addition of a wine fridge and mini fridge. The garage provided parking spaces and beach chairs. The location is amazing - close to many beaches, restaurants and more! I highly recommend this home!

Family Vacation in Michigan

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this property located in the woods of Michigan.4 adults and 4 kids. The house is nearby popular beaches such as South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland. The first night the kids had a blast playing at the backyard which had a swing set a slide and also a climbing gear attached to the trees. They had a blast. It took us a minute to figure out a nearby grocery store as the house is located in a small community and away from major stores. The photos of the listing are accurate, we had a few issues with the kitchen appliances, nothing major and nothing that hindered our stay. A few of the towels and linens could have used an extra 20 mins in the dryer, but there were plenty more to use. The owners allowed us to use the beach chairs as well as the pack and play for the baby. And there were some balls and other toys the kids really enjoyed. Some of the dishware required some rising, but beyond that, there was a great variety for us to use. There is a coffee maker with plenty of coffee and all the needs for that. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine which was a fine touch! Overall the property is great! It could use a little facelift here and there, but again it is a great property at a convenient location and very spacious. Also, great communication with owner. We had a great time.

Family Get Away

We planned a nice family beach vacation for 9 adults and 3 children. While investigating everything the home had to offer, we were pleasantly surprised by just how much space there was. Everyone was able to have their own bedrooms and beds without feeling cramped. The host truly thought of everything as far as amenities went. There was ample toilet paper, kitchen items, seating, toys for children, drinking water system, outdoor seating/fire pit, bug spray, beach chairs/toys, etc. They literally thought of pretty much everything which isn’t always the case when renting, so an absolute 10/10 as far as that goes. Some minor mentions that are by no means deal breakers, but rather minor inconveniences: the leg of the main couch was broken and kept breaking anytime someone sat on the left side, so we had to avoid using half the couch. We didn’t realize there was a trick to using the microwave so we had to resort to using the oven for everything. The water softener may have needed fresh salt as the water wasn’t the clearest and very rough on the skin while showering. Lastly, the door from the downstairs bedroom to the bathroom sticks really bad so if you try to open or close it in the middle of the night, you will likely wake whoever is in the room with you. This can be avoided by leaving the room and instead entering the bathroom from the hallway. Again, all constructive feedback that was mostly communicated and positively received by the host.

Not as the pictures, dirty and old house.

Everything was sticky and dirty. Towels and linen with stains and not washed. Blamed us for damage that they already had. Bad were also very uncomfortable, and our backs still hurt from it. You can't use the water for showering because it's yellowish and it smells really bad, no way to wash your teeth with that water. There was hair all over in the house. Owner complained we used toilet paper and paper towels that were clean service supplies but were left on the kitchen counter without signs not to use them. She also pretends she was not aware how dirty the place was. There is fire-pit, but they didn't leave any wood. While they charge quite a lot for cleaning, I am honestly saying don't go there with kids or if you're pregnant. We couldn't wait to leave the property, and get a real shower in our houses and wash all that dirt from us. Be really careful because nice pictures may fool you like they did to us.

Great spot for a cabin weekend with friends

We loved our time here - plenty of indoor space for everyone, and a large backyard full of space for games and campfires. Nila was great at communication when we had some questions too. We'll definitely consider coming back if we're in the area again. Thanks again!

Awesome Place for Family Reunion

We wanted a large place to stay with my grown children and this was perfect. It was very close to the beach and South Haven and also has a large backyard which the kids used extensively. The host was very good to us and was very easy to work with. Would highly recommend this rental for reunions. There were lots of toys for the kids to play with and they used them. Everyone had a great time.

Relaxing getaway with family

Very roomy, bright, zenlike home. Wonderful backyard for families. Very close to beach, lighthouse and winery. Hostess was very accommodating and quick to answer questions. She even had a basket with snacks and wine to greet us!

Beautiful place for a family getaway

Our stay was great and had plenty of space for all of us. The house offered pretty much everything you would need for a family vacation. Our kids particularly liked the backyard, which has a swing set, and the finished basement, which was nicely furnished with toys. There is a sun room with a hanging chair and a dedicated yoga room off the dining room that can be closed off for privacy. The kitchen had all the necessary equipment, including a fridge, a mini-fridge, and a wine fridge, as well as a state of the art oven. There were also beach chairs/ towels/and toys provided, as well as a wagon that was quite handy for hauling beach equipment around! The host surprised us with snacks and local wine upon out arrival which we found to be heart warming. The beds are the most comfortable beds we have had on a vacation home, most things in the house seem almost brand new and pretty clean. The master room overlooks the backyard which felt so secluded and like you’re in the middle of a forest but in a posh home. The house itself is fairly secluded at the end of a cul-de-sac in a wooded neighborhood. There is a beach within walking distance ( 10 minute or so) and Hagar Beach is also nearby ( 2 miles away). If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy family time without much city noise this place is perfect and affordable for why it has to offer. We would come back again!
