House was great. Host was disappointing
We stayed in this home for 6 nights while visiting Orlando with our children and grandchildren. The good:The home itself was as pictured and very clean. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels and kitchenware for the group of 13.
Now the bad: The host was a typical host until I had a concern, then he became very hard to work with. I reached out a week before our trip to ensure the hot tub was up to temp because we had a Disney marathon runner with us that was really looking forward soak after the run. I was told that I had to pay to heat the hot tub. I expressed my disagreement because the hot tub is free standing and listed as an amenity. In the end, I paid the almost $300 to have the heat turned on. When we arrived the pool and hot tub were still cool and I reached out again to inform the host. I was lied to, dismissed and treated very rudely by the host. In the end, the hot tub did not work the entire time of our stay and no refund was given. A tech did finally show up the last afternoon of our stay as we were headed out to dinner and left the hot tub uncovered with a part on the stairs. I reached out to the host one final time to let him know and ask him to confirm with the tech and make the situation right. He offered to give us the last day of pool heat free (we had to check out by 10am).
Also, please note that they provide a small amount of basic soaps, paper products (1 days worth)but nothing else. Not even salt and pepper.
