Rod’s Reel Fishing & Hunting cabin is nestled in the woods, a hideaway, just 0.3 miles from boat launch at Lake Guntersville. Our property offers spacious, covered boat parking/charging, covered porches & the safety of locked gate & outdoor security cameras.

Cozy & rustic cabin with 600 square feet will take you back to a simpler time. Charming: a nature lover’s & outdoorsmen’s paradise.

Beautiful cabin!

We stayed here while on a weekend trip fishing lake guntersville. We enjoyed the cabin immensely. It is super cozy and comfortable. Next time we would love to spend more time here!

Great place to get away!

Fiancée and I came here for a quiet weekend out in nature and it was perfect. Nice and clean on the inside and lovely and private to hang out in on the outside, would definitely come back! Jen was great with communication as well.

Perfect Getaway

This is our second time staying and there will definitely be more. We absolutely love staying here, the cabin has everything you need. Jennifer is wonderful with communication. I could go on and on about the cabin and will leave with this, stay here because you won’t regret it.

Rods and reels cabin lake Guntersville

Great place to stay on lake Guntersville, love the covered boat parking and convenience to boat ramp, very. Clean and had more than I needed, host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again. Very nice!!!!

Adorable, peaceful and quaint

This place is even more adorable in person. It is well equipped and well kept. The bed is comfy and there are plenty of pillows-that’s always important to me. It’s quaint and perfect for a couples quiet getaway. I know it says sleeps two, but there is a king bed and a twin bed. We will hopefully be back for a getaway in the fall.

Perfectly PERFECT in every way!!!

We had an utterly amazing stay. This cozy cabin was the perfect getaway, and yet still has such a homey feel. Our lovely hosts have put so much thought into stocking up with anything you could need for your stay. Staying in, enjoying the breathtaking view was just the way to ring in the new year. Gorgeous cabin, gorgeous view, and great hosts! We are already talking and planning for our next trip back!

Absolutely the best!!

There is not one thing I could even think of saying bad about this place. It was the best ever!! It was small and cute. Very clean!!! I hope to make this my yearly anniversary spot. I would recommend everyone take the chance of experiencing the great stay that we had.

Quiet get away

Bed was comfortable and the place was cozy. Disappointed that the grill was very dirty with no scraper available. Wish we would’ve had access to a movie channel. We left a day early.

Finding peace

This little cabin is exactly what we were looking for. A place to get away and slow down. We enjoyed quiet nights around the fire. Coffee on the porch in the mornings. The bathtub outside is amazing. The host was extremely quick to answer any questions we had. They had provided all kinds of little extra amenities to make our stay that much more enjoyable.

The tub is everything.....

I had been staring at this cabin for 2 years and finally pulled the trigger! It was everything I thought it would be. Jennifer thought of everything. The place was clean and she had the best room fragrance I have ever smelt (I would like to know where you got it btw). The tub was so relaxing. If your looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway. This is the place. We will be back for sure .

Perfect Getaway

The perfect getaway spot for any couple! It’s a wonderful combination of charming, rustic fishing cabin and smart, modern conveniences. The entire place was extremely clean…spotless! We appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and bathroom! It felt like home away from home…and so close to all of our favorite spots at the lake. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay!!. The fire pit near the outdoor claw foot tub were my personal favorite. We’re already planning our next trip! Jennifer was easily accessible, responsive, friendly and kind. It’s an amazing property and beautiful tribute to her father!

Memorable Memorial Day

Host communication was spectacular, cabin was cozy, quaint, and well maintained with thoughtful consideration to the overall cleanliness, decor, and to many unexpected little details that just added to the comfort of our stay. Wife and I stayed 6 days and 5 nights, and though most of the days were rainy & prevented us from venturing out of doors we were cozy and happy to just relax and enjoy each other's company in this intimate space. It's a wonderful getaway for being with someone or a couple someones you really like. Leave pesky acquaintances at home though because they'll just be underfoot and in the way of the relaxing time that awaits.

Cozy cottage

Cottage is very clean and tidy. The owner has done a great job decorating and creating a warm place to stay! The tub and fire pit was an added bonus! Great stay!

Casual, Laidback, everything we expected, and more.

If you are looking for a simple and comfortable stay, this is the place to be. The only thing that should be added is a stability bar installed in the bathtub. Other than that, two thumbs up!!

Super Nice little Cozy Cabin

We stayed this past weekend for a quick birthday trip for my husband to do some fishing on Guntersville Lake. Very cozy cabin that offered plenty of space for us to rest in between fishing trips. You can also lock the gate when leaving the property which was a huge plus to us with all the fishing gear and electronics my husband has on his boat. The bed is extremely comfortable which is something we always worry about going to stay overnight anywhere. The owner has thought of all the small details for someone to need during their stay. I am used to sleeping with fan on in my room at home, it was wonderful to see that this owner has supplied the cabin with one for use if wanted. There were also a few nice surprises left for us at arrival which was very kind! The cabin is away from town but also less than a 5 min drive to get back to the main highway for food or shopping. We will absolutely check availability for this property again in the future for fishing trips! If you prefer something different than a chain hotel to stay in this cabin will be a great choice! Only regret is that I didn't book a trip long enough to sit and enjoy reading my books I brought. Our next visit will need to be a longer stay!
