## Emplacement
The Pantin-La Villette complex is now at the cutting edge of creativity and innovation, with the Centre national de la danse, the Philharmonie, the Conservatoire national de Paris, the Cité de la musique and the Cité des sciences, all linked by the Canal de l'Ourq, particularly popular with young Parisians. Artisans and galleries, starting with Thaddeus Ropac, set up shop here, converting former workshops. Hermes and BTEC, France's second-largest public relations firm, are headquartered here, while Chanel and other perfume companies have numerous facilities. ESMOD, the fashion school, has taken over the former premises of the Banque de France. The Grenoble School of Management has just set up a 2,500-student campus in the "Brooklyn of Paris". And the Compagnons du devoir craftsmen have their national training center here.
