Tom Nevers Tranquility

Built in 2003, the home is located in the southeast part of the island on a property that is nestled in, ensuring privacy. The custom built home has three floors, boasts wooden pine and Italian tiled floors, has a hearth fireplace, two kitchens, a front and back deck, an outdoor shower, and a private yard for enjoyment. There is high speed WiFi throughout the home and several flat screen TV's with a full package of channels and a stereo on the first floor. The floor plan on the first floor is open, allowing for easy entertaining. Bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms are located on the second floor as well as a small office or reading room that can be converted into an additional sleeping space. The basement contains the laundry facilities, a full kitchen, full bathroom, and a living room that can convert into a sleeping area as well.

Beautiful Home!!!!!!

Wonderful home! Our group of 6 friends stayed here last summer and the house was just great. Really clean and nicely decorated as well as having every amenity you could think of. Looks like a brand new house. Beautiful wood floors, too. The owner was easy to deal with when booking and it all went smoothly. It has a nice, private yard and we enjoyed cooking out on the grill and eating on the covered back porch for some breakfasts and dinners. There’s a fireplace for having a cozy fire at night if it's a little chilly - we used it one night. We have never stayed in a nicer place – everyone really loved it. Would stay here again in the future for sure.

Comfortable, Cozy House

We were looking for a comfortable place, not too close to downtown, to house five people, one needing a slightly separate space. One of our party was recovering from surgery, and the rest of us were looking for active recreation, never having been to Nantucket before. This house was perfect. The living and sleeping spaces were well furnished down to the smallest detail. It was simply decorated, but had an elegance to it. Everything was very clean and maintained well. The separate living area downstairs gave our visiting cousin some privacy and space, while allowing her to join us on the main level for family activities easily. We had as much privacy as we needed, while also having close access to the owner if we had questions. The owners were so helpful, and eager to make our stay comfortable and fun. We went to some great beaches with the kids, checked out some museums, the aquarium, bike riding, and lots of good restaurants, as well as having dinner in as a family. (Our favorite activities/places were the Whaling and Lightship Basket Museums, boogie boarding at the Surfside Beach, The Boarding House Restaurant, the Toy Boat toy store on the wharf, and the Juice Bar for ice cream.) The downtown was an easy drive from the house even though the Tom Nevers area gives a feeling of being on the island with very few other people. Shopping was interesting. There were so many specialty shops with beautiful and fun housewares, clothes, and novelty items. Our one week in Nantucket was a great success, in large part thanks to the house we rented. The listing description is thorough and accurate. I would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend it to others.

Awesome Island House!

We rented this home for some of our off island relatives who were coming to the island for a family wedding. We, as a group, also used the house for a few gatherings during the week prior to the wedding. I have to say it was such a well outfitted home and so completely comfortable. We all enjoyed the place so much! On one chilly evening we had a roaring fire and that was so cozy! The house is located near a beach and a public golf course, too, which was great. Everyone in our party is still talking about what a nice house it was to stay in and I feel it really added another special element to what was a memorable, fun-filled family vacation and week of events. Definitely recommend!

Nice house for entertaining

My family has used this house to host events on a couple of occasions and to house some family members who were here on vacation. We really like the layout of the first floor - ideal for entertaining. The house is very clean and tastefully decorated as well as comfortable. Both kitchens are spacious and have a variety of items to use for your cooking needs, more than expected for a vacation rental. We were impressed with this place and will use it again for family functions.

Terrific Place to Stay

My family rented this house in August of 2010 for one week and we were very comfortable here. We love the Tom Nevers area of the island and this house was our favorite rental there ever! The owners were very accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for our arrival - the fact that the house was so nice made our whole stay so pleasant. The house was beautifully appointed and had a light, airy feel. It has many nice features such as gorgeous wood floors, a fireplace, and custom solid wooden bars for eating at in both kitchens. The house was immaculate and even the towels and sheets supplied are in great condition, looking practically new. The house also provided a cooler, beach towels, beach chairs and even a beach umbrella so we could bring those along with us on our trips to some of the beautiful local beaches. We used the two covered porches a lot, too- great areas for a BBQ or sipping a glass of wine as you read your favorite book. There's a very peaceful and private yard with some pretty flowering bushes and trees all around. Everyone really enjoyed staying here so much we hope to rent it again in the future next time we're on the island. Definitely a great house to rent!
