The Silverlake Treehouse is the upstairs unit of a duplex perched on a quiet tree-lined street with an established garden overlooking one of the most charming sections of Silverlake in Los Angeles (sometimes called “the Brooklyn of the west”). Immerse yourself in the Silverlake vibe everyday with a short ten minute walk north to Silverlake Reservoir, one of the most iconic and popular features in the area, offering a 2.25 mile loop of improved paths for walkers and runners. Or choose between one of two short sets of famous Silverlake “secret stairs” adjacent to the Treehouse and stroll down to some of the best dining and entertainment in the area. LAMILL Coffee, Botanica Restaurant and Market, L&E Oyster Bar are all within a 5 minute walk, as is some lovely boutique shopping. The Treehouse is situated in an excellent, quiet mid-city location, with easy access to Hollywood, DTLA, Pasadena, and the San Fernando Valley.
The Treehouse is comprised of 1,200’ of floor space featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a large deck with a city-lights view, and an open living/dining space with recessed lighting and beautiful hardwood floors. Other features include: 65” HDTV flat screen TV, Sonos sound system, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, stainless-steel refrigerator, and one reserved parking place on the property (street parking is also plentiful). The Treehouse has a brand new, fully stocked chef’s kitchen and the interior and exterior have been recently painted.
*As an ADDED BONUS, rental fee includes a BI-MONTHLY PROFESSIONAL CLEANING SERVICE*
This is our personal residence when we are in Los Angeles. Since it is our home, we anticipate that our guests will respect it as they respect their own home. We are always available to answer any of your questions or concerns.

Hi! I'm Mark and I split my time between beautiful Victoria on Vancouver Island in British Columbia and The Silver Lake Treehouse in Los Angeles. (I rent The Silver Lake Treehouse when I'm not in LA.) I direct television movies. I have a Mexican rescue pup named Taxi who makes me laugh everyday. I love to travel and enjoy lots of outdoor stuff (paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, and growing my own food). Splitting time between BC and Southern California gives me an interesting life balance that I'm grateful for. I look forward to hosting you at The Silverlake Treehouse!

I love the culture, history, architecture, and topography of Silver Lake, and feel the location of The Treehouse is the perfect place from which to experience all of it. Walkability is not something that comes to mind when you think of Los Angeles, so the easy walkabilty to the reservoir and the wonderful restaurants near The Treehouse make for a super attractive LA lifestyle. It’s also a pretty easy drive (by LA standards!) to all parts of the city core. I love how The Treehouse is perched above everything, offering tranquil evenings and lovely views. The Treehouse also sits in the middle of many of the magical ‘secret staircases’ that are unique to Silver Lake. If you want to know more, just ask!

The Treehouse is my home for a portion of the year. So you will find it comfortably stocked with amenities, art, books, big-screen TV and Sonos sound system. The treehouse is a warm hug -- it's like staying at a friend's home.
