Located just steps from the beach, this penthouse level condo boasts a bright and serene interior with plenty of vacation perks like access to an outdoor pool and sauna. This Gulf-front condo is also near plenty of local attractions and activities including the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, Gulf State Park Pier, an amusement park, golfing, and dining.

After a full day of exploring the area or lounging by the zero-entry pool that overlooks the Gulf, come home to relax on the sofa and enjoy the cable TV. When the group gets hungry, take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen. Eat meals or play games together at the dining table. Rest up in the tranquil bedrooms and get ready for another day of vacation bliss. Start your next day off right with coffee on the balcony where you can enjoy the fresh air and spectacular water views. There’s something for everyone when you stay at San Carlos.

The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

You can't beat the view!

Very comfortable place for 5 adults. Great location and beautiful view of the Gulf for sunrise and sunsets. Nice pool and beach access.

Disappointing Stay-Not Worth the Premium Price

We were very disappointed with our stay at this penthouse condo. The photos used in the listing were deceiving-they made the space look clean, modern, and well-maintained. Unfortunately, that wasn’t our experience at all. Upon arrival, we found the unit was not very clean. The furniture had visible stains, and the walls and baseboards were scuffed and beat up, giving the place a rundown feel. To make things worse, the outdoor chairs were broken, and there was only seating for four people outside, even though the unit accommodates eight. That made it difficult for our group to enjoy the outdoor space together. We expected much more considering the premium price we paid for a penthouse. The lack of upkeep and misleading photos made this stay feel like a letdown. Would not recommend unless serious updates and maintenance are done.

Great location!

The location and views were amazing! The inside is dated could really use a refresh. Vacasa was horrible to work with and get any type of communication out of.

Nice place but outdated

The place was really clean but needs to be updated. The baseboards need to be replaced. The TVs are super-outdated. Maybe if some smart TVs were added and streaming services available, this place would be top notch.

Family time.

We enjoyed our stay.. there were not many face rages or towels.. only one towel and two face rages per room. (We had an unexpected cost of purchasing those items). But the rooms were clean . We enjoyed ourselves and will return.

Not at all what it was portrayed to be.

Needs lots of updates and maintenance to multiple items in the condo. Definitely not worth what we paid for. We did enjoy being back on the beach at San Carlos and being so close to downtown..

2024 winter getaway

Location was perfect, size and space was more than accommodating and the view was out of this world. We were upgraded and ended up in one of the penthouses. The condo we were supposed to rent was sold. Pictures looked nice but reviews were spot on. Definitely needed a deep cleaning. Furniture needs to be updated, master bedroom is nice, but other bedrooms are lacking as far as outdated furniture, lamps and side tables. One could tell that this condo was top of the line in its day, just needs a little TLC. Overall experience was good, would recommend.

Not worth the price

Very disappointed with this place being a Penthouse! All furniture was either ripped or old. Deck furniture was rusted and ready to break. This place needs an overhaul. Broken drape in living room. Not a place we would rent again

Loved it!!

We had 8 adults, 3 teenagers, and 1 toddler. We had plenty of room! We did bring a pack and play for the toddler to sleep in, and the teenagers slept on the pull out sofa and couch. The property was as close as you can get to the ocean and in walking distance to restaurants. We loved Sea n Suds, The Hangout, Mikees, The Oyster House, and The Steamer. The Surf Style across the street was very handy for any supplies you may have forgotten at home. We had a great time! We were able to buy 2 extra parking passes, but that may have been due to the low occupancy at the time. Dan the “MAN”ager was great to deal with. Every person was pleased with the property and we will be back again! Thanks San Carlos for a great family vacation!

Gulf Shores

The condo was not as nice as we thought it would be. We had trouble with the code and we called Vacasa and you and could not get it resolved. It ruined our first night because we were not able to go out to eat or to go to the beach. Disappointing night for Four retired schoolteacher‘s hoping to have a fabulous vacation! The condo had a beautiful view of the ocean. But there were stains on all furniture and the barstools were ripped. Honestly, I think you should give us our money back!

Disappointing overall

Complex was clean and seemed well maintained. Elevators were great, we rarely waited long for one even though we were in the penthouse. Pool was nice. Shopping carts for check in and out was genius. Unfortunately once we got to our unit, it was very disappointing. Unit was overall clean, but not what I would consider luxury as described. Beds were listed as queen, they were definitely not and sheets did not fit beds and came off nightly. Light switches in rooms controlled fan ceiling fan and light with one switch. To turn either the light or fan off, you had to pull the chain on the light and I am short so this meant climbing in the bed to turn them on and off. One room fan was stuck on high all week because there was not a chain to turn it off or down. Towels were scratchy. Mildew on ceiling above common shower. No night lamp on both sides of the bed, not a big deal but still inconvenient. Extra bed linens shoved in plastic shopping bag in corner of closet that were not folded so I had concerns about cleanliness. Kitchen not particularly well appointed. Drawer front broken on one drawer. Dish drain did not fit into sink and no mat to put under it so it could be used on the counter. Appliances nice except for refrigerator did not have ice and water dispenser. Patio door was very heavy and track dirty. No handle on heavy patio slide door meant it was difficult to close. Patio furniture was unusable due to rust and fabric of lounge chairs frayed and old. Few other issues but that is enough. Would not stay at this unit again.

Beautiful view less than clean

The view. Nothing beats that view. It’s amazing. Some things to note. The balcony was lovely, unfortunately it did not have enough furniture. We had three plastic chairs, Two were broken, a two person small bench and a nice table with no chairs. One of the bathrooms had mold just above the shower stall. Someone did come to clean it but as we all know once mold is on dry wall, cleaning with bleach is not the answer it needs to be replaced. The furniture couch, beds, and chairs are older and are not as comfortable and could use replacing. One of the bedrooms didn’t have a blanket for the bed and there were no extras anywhere to be found. I have been in a few rented houses for vacations , and usually there are some items available upon arrival that are needed for a successful vacation like coffee! They have both a drip machine and a kcup machine. But there are no coffee filters, kcups in the condo. Also zero spices not even salt and pepper. There are a few dishwasher pods and two pacs of laundry detergent to use during your stay. We were also given one extra trash bag. They do also supply small shampoos and conditioners and dove soap bars in each bathroom. I know, I know it’s sounds like a bad review, it’s truthful not intended to be that. These are just a few things that my family had wished we knew before we booked. We still had a lovely time. We really loved the location. We would book here again but be prepared for the lack of amenities.
