Lost Love in the New Orleans Marigny

Step into the former building of the Lost Love Lounge. Located in the heart of the Faubourg Marigny, and reputed as one of the oldest taverns in the neighborhood, located above Breakaway's Restaurant and Bar. Our completely renovated condo on top has everything you need to visit & enjoy the historic Marigny district. Minutes away from the French Market and Frenchmen Street. Countless shops, bars, restaurants & galleries are steps away. The perfect location to enjoy authentic New Orleans.

The downstairs floor of the building is occupied now by a new restaurant and bar called The Breakaway's Restaurant and Bar that is open. Music & Noise from downstairs can be heard in the unit during late night and into the early morning hours on occasion. This is a fun and lively neighborhood for anyone looking for the joys of live music, food and company!

Two bedrooms, one bathroom, & a large living area provide ample space for you and your guests to enjoy. Floor to ceiling windows brighten up the space and provide a classic New Orleans feel to any already historic building. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all cooking essentials for an evening in. A large dining room table, with seating for six, is sure to provide plenty of space to entertain as well. Enjoy a wonderful cup of coffee while soaking up the morning sun happily provided by us! We also have an extra fold out cot for any extra guests! Just ask!

The whole apartment is exclusively for guest use!

There is free street parking all along the block.

We're available anytime you need us!

A vibrant art scene - with local artisans' galleries, funky live music venues, and art markets, embodies the essence of these adjacent neighborhoods. The food scene here is mixed with trendy spots and locally founded, casual digs - take your pick. Explore the St. Claude Arts District, Crescent Park on the riverfront, and more.

Time Well Spent

My husband and I have been coming to Jazz Fest for over 15 years and this year we brought our adult children with us. Loved seeing them experience what we have over the years through their eyes. We love our stay in this amazing comfortable home - we are very familiar with most areas in the Marigny and this did not disappoint. Easy to walk to everything and so many options for food and entertainment. Highly recommend!

Nice apartment, great location!!

This property is amazing! As an out-of-stater, this apartment gave a very unique vibe. Its just a 20 minute walk to the quarter. Worth every penny for this stay!!

Did not send us the entrance code, leading us to a 2 hour Vrbo customer service conversation on the side of the road to start our vacation. Neither us nor Vrbo could contact him and we ended up booking a last minute hotel to stay in. The next morning we tried to contact him to stay there, and he still wouldn’t respond. Does not know how to communicate, which is essential when people rely on you (and have paid you) for somewhere to stay. Super disappointed because it probably is a nice place- just a bad owner.

Nice location with easy walk to Frenchman St. Quiet location so not hard to sleep in if needed. Easy to get questions answered in a timely fashion.

Absolutely loved it!

Looks a little questionable when you first arrive, but once you get inside, it was positively charming. Spacious and airy rooms, simply but well appointed, comfortable beds, good kitchen. All you need. The neighborhood was wonderful. We met so many locals and learned about great hidden gems. Pep’s down the street became our home base. Close enough to walk to the quarter or Frenchman, but away from it all to decompress. A great stay!

Stay in the Marigny

Excellent location. Within walking distance of many attractions, including the restaurants and bars on Frenchmen but away from the noisy tourist area of the French Quarter. Enough room for 2 couples (except for the fact that there is only 1 bathroom). Weekend evenings are noisy because of the bar on 1st floor.

Mother daughter trip to NOLA

What a great experience. This location was perfect. Easy walking distance to many restaurants,(vegan options abundant), bars if that is your thing, Frenchman St, even Bourbon St. Convenient to the street car pick up, etc. Very safe feel. Totally recommend!

Taylor Swift Concert

Two adults and two teens came to stay at this fantastic location for the Taylor Swift concert. This places was perfect for our trip. I cannot say enough positive things about the location, the neighborhood, the vibe. We felt very safe here as two women with two teenage girls. We were able to walk to a very nice restaurant, easily go to a nearby market, and quickly/easily Uber a short distance to the Superdome for a late night concert. The places was spacious for the four of us. TheRe were movable twin sized bed

Perfect for 2-4 people! Close to everything!

I was very pleasantly surprised at how great this little place was! Beds and living room furniture were very comfortable! Kitched was VERY well stocked and had all new appliancesParking right at the front door and getting to all the good tuff was very easy. Less than a mile from the Quarter!Check in was super easy and the management folks wre very responsive and easy to contact.The ONLY thing we were "disappointed" in was the water pressure in the shower. I THINK this is a thing in that area but it's pretty low and makes showering take a long time. :) 9.5 out of 10, will stay here again!!!

Beautiful stay!

We loved this stay! This is an amazing Vrbo and one of the best we've ever stayed in - well decorated and appointed, impeccably clean, spacious and overlooks the neighborhood. The space is great with a lovely living room and dining area. Many places we have been to do not have a full dining room. Kitchen appliances are all new and we had the opportunity to do laundry in a pleasing space. We were on the road for a bit seeing various southeastern cities and loved having this very comfortable feeling of being at home. We thoroughly enjoyed this unit and plan to book again for our next NOLA trip. Walkable to many restaurants and in a quiet area of town. We did enjoy the local taverns and coffee places nearby. Felt like a local. :) Thank you for a great stay!

Huge Roach - 2 and half inches

After 24 hours of being at this property. I personally saw a roach that was 2 and a half inches crawl from the window seal and eventually headed to our bed room. We immediately left and checked into the Marriott. The owner of the property was notified and basically stated it is too be expected in this area. The owner then stated he was going to go ahead and call someone out and then we should return the same day after the exterminator came by to spray. I’m seeking only a refund for the days I didn’t stay at the property. Unfortunately I will have to get my attorney involved. VRBO didn’t seem helpful.

Jazz Fest 2024

What an ideal location to stay for Fest or any trip to NoLa! Charming, unique and well appointed, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Great neighborhood and an easy walk/uber to everywhere you’ll want to explore. There’s even a cool little bar/restaurant right across the street with a delightful happy hour. I’ll be back.

Great getaway

Loved the neighborhood and felt we were lucky to have found this sweet spot. Carter was great in communicating and access was easy. Neighborhood was full of great little restaurants to eat and walking or biking to the French quarter was a breeze. Would definitely enjoy coming back here again. Thanks for the stay. Meg
