I was really pleased with this Fairfield Inn. The staff was attentive, polite, and informative and the lobby and rooms were exceptionally clean.The first evening I walked over to CityWalk for some shopping, dinner, and music. The walk was about 20-25 minutes, along a lovely, landscaped road just over the other side of the pedestrian overpass. If Halloween Horror Nights were not in progress I would have driven over and parked for free after 6 pm in Universal Studios Guest Parking. So yes, the parks are walkable, but there is a free shuttle available from 7:30 am -6:30 pm which I used the following day.The hot breakfast was very good and plentiful with many choices. Loved the lobby coffee. It was much better than the room coffee. My in-room coffee pot was not working when I arrived, but a helpful young man brought up a brand new one in minutes after calling the front desk.While I did not go into any shops or restaurants, there were several to choose from in walking distance.I also had an enjoyable conversation with the manager who was very friendly and welcoming. And I was glad I speak Spanish so I was able to communicate easily with the service staff.Overall, I had a very wonderful stay and would stay at this hotel again.

Enjoyed our stay

We stayed here but went to Disney, less than 30 mins from the parks which was nice. Only 1 mile from Universal. Hotels breakfast was good, plenty of options. Room smelled musty, got used to it once in the room but definitely noticed once we would leave and come back

First time to Universal Studios

GREAT Time. Room was great. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, but very nice overall. Host and employees extremely professional and nice. Breakfast and transportation were awesome. Great folks!!

Overall great place. Would have been better if there was a microwave in the rooms instead of having to come to the lobby. The pool could have used some attention it had leaves and bugs in it. The room and hotel was pretty clean, the main issue I noticed was the bathroom, bottom of the toilet, behind the toilet were dirty and there was hair in the shower. Most people probably wouldn’t notice it but owning a cleaning business makes me more aware of certain things. Close to everything, great location…. Think there’s a night club near by so the loud music kept my little one up longer .

Great experience!

The staff were polite & pleasant, complimentary breakfast was very good each morning & our room was restocked & cleaned everyday we got back! Perfect location especially if you’re going to the universal parks! We had a great stay.

Definitely recommend

I stayed two nights, and had a great experience. Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Breakfast service was ideal for the stay. I definitely recommend staying at location, which was in great proximity to theme parks and restaurants.

Older hotel, musty lobby, room smelled like pot

Location is great and the Universal shuttle is very convenient. The breakfast is very good with lots of options. It is an older hotel with a musty smelling lobby, no hot tub and the pool is chilly. Beds and linens were great and you can use your netflix or prime account on the TV. We're pretty sure the maid staff smoked weed in our room - they left some bud on the dresser, the TV and the bathroom fan were left on when we returned from the park. I feel loke we got a good value for the money but will likely pick a different location in the future.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!My daughter and I, who were there for a cheer competition stayed from May 3rd-6th. First off you wake into the room and get hit with the smell of bleach, it was so strong it was burning our nose. This hotel is not in the best area of Orlando, there were squatters everywhere. My daughter could not go swimming because there were 2 guys who were not staying at the hotel down sitting at a table all day and were smoking weed. The 1st night we got woke up at 3:30am to the sound of 2 people fighting in the hallway, called downstairs and they stated they'd take care of it. I started looking for another room, sent Victoria a message about getting a refund if I was able to find a room and she did not get back to me, also it was hard to find a room in town that was not expensive or booked due to a cheer competition going on so we stayed, the last night there we got woke up at 1:30am to the Orlando police banging on a hotel door a couple rooms down from ours and then heard yelling, I did not open the door to see what was going on. DO NOT waste your money and stay here, there were a lot of families leaving early due to this. The price might be decent but do not waste your money staying here and Victoria is not easy to communicate with, I will never rent a VRBO that has her name or RoomPicks name on it again. I was worried about my rental car being broke into and I did not feel safe walking out to the car, also the side door to the hotel that should have been locked and states you need your room key to open was not locked at all.

Decent stay

We arrived at the original property but somehow they were overbooked and sent us to a different property. The new property was nice. However, there was a convention nearby called MegaCon. We went out for dinner and when we came back around 10:30ish, there was a mess trying to park. There were so many people at the property. We had looked for a spot for 30 minutes before we got out and asked a security guard what we could do since we were staying there. He told us to park unconventionally but he said we would be okay. All night I kept thinking we were going to get towed or booted. Aside from that, the hotel looked like it would be fun to stay at but I was there for less than 24 hours.
