Welcome to Tall Trees Cottage! - Now booking fall and winter with our lowest rates ever!

This charming 2 bedroom cottage is the perfect get-away location for business travelers, couples, small families and friend groups, and offer the best alternative to a Hotel/Motel in the area.

We are tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, but a short stroll to the Spring Lake public beach. The Grand Trunk bike bath is just a half a block, and we are walking distance to the famous Village Baker. Our extra large lot offers a camp-like feel underneath ancient oak and walnut trees. Want the beaches of Lake Michigan? The award winning beaches of Grand Haven are only 3 miles away.

In the home you will find:
• Two super comfortable bedrooms with queen beds with luxury linens
• A fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, blender cooking utensils and basic spices and oils
• One full bathroom with charming claw-foot tub.
• Bright, open living room with 50" Smart TV and Bluetooth soundbar speaker
• Whole-house WiFi
• Full-sized washer and dryer

Outside the home you will enjoy our extra large lot complete a gas grill and back patio. The shaded, partially fenced in back yard is a great place to relax during the day, and at night enjoy cooking smores or conversation around our fire pit under the canopy of ancient oak and walnut trees.

Our guests have access to the entire home with the exception of a locked owners closet and the detached garage.

Other things to note
We are conveniently located just minutes to Grand Haven and their award winning beaches.
Grand Rapids is 30 minutes away.
Muskegon is 20 minutes away.

Nice Location

Great location just a short drive to the beach. This is an older home but clean and nice decorated inside. There are some great restaurants nearby.

Nice Spot

Our stay was in the winter, so we weren’t able to take advantage of the close proximity to the lake. The house/cottage is a little more than a block away from the water. The place itself was very clean and exactly what we needed, a quiet little retreat to relax between social engagements. Highly recommended and if we’re ever back in the area, we would stay again!

Short but pleasant stay

My family just stayed one night, but we wished we had more time in this cute neighborhood/town! The house is super cute and cozy on the inside, and we had everything we needed for a clean, comfortable overnight stay!

Very comfortable and great location

My friend and I enjoyed our stay. The house was cleaned nicely and the beds were very comfortable. The location was great for driving to Grand Haven State Park, where we spent most of our time. The trail is right by the house and is nice for taking walks. Communication with Frederick was easy. I would stay again.

Peaceful weekend stay

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend, visiting for a friends wedding nearby. The home was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, located on a quiet street near spring lake. We loved being able to walk by the lake in the morning, and having a convenient location to get ready for the wedding. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Tall Trees Cottage

Perfect location to nearby biking trails and great restaurants. The claw bathtub/shower is a little small and could use a grab bar on the wall to assist in getting in and out of the shower. Loved the bright lighting in the bathroom. Would recommend this home unless it’s difficult for you to get in and out of a tub.

Fall trip

Outside of the house is very off putting and using the back door to come and go had some challenges as it’s a tight space with a number of doors to navigate with a car seat and any larger suitcases. Inside is nice and updated and the rooms were spacious.

Quick trip to Spring Lake

Adorable cottage! Bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We didn’t use the kitchen for our quick visit but it is well stocked with everything you could need. The bathroom was smaller than expected but that should not be a reason not to visit again! You also are within walking distance to Spring Lake beach, the Village Baker (our favorite restaurant) and a beautiful trail that runs around the lake.

Quaint House near the lake

We had a slight communication issue at the beginning of the stay. We were in a rush to make an appointment right after we were due to check in, so we were slightly frantic. But the property owner/manager got in touch relatively quickly and was able to resolve the issue. Otherwise it was a lovely stay in a quaint house in a quiet neighborhood. Close to the lake and restaurants/shopping.

Perfect getaway in a pristine property

This house is absolutely perfect. The owner thought of everything! It seems as if every part is newly remodeled, and the decor is beyond pristine. There are fans, extra blankets, and great lighting in the bedrooms; comfy furniture and bright decor in all of the rooms; modern and convenient fixtures in the bathroom and kitchen; and just a great overall feel. Sadly, we were only able to stay one night for a birthday getaway. I think we could have moved right in. Taking a walk to the lake in the morning was beautiful, and only took a minute or so as it's just down the street. I cannot think of anything that was missing or left to be desired. My friend and I are already trying to figure out when we can go back. Thank you for such a great experience!

Disappointed

We arrived after dark and there was no way of seeing the house numbers. There was only a motion light at the back door that didn't stay on very long. The musty smell mentioned in other reviews was real. If you are sensitive to smells or have allergies be cautious. Outside could definitely use some TLC and curb appeal. We did end up leaving this rental and taking the hit for another area. Inside was not bad, the claw foot tub was small and needed more anti-slip measures added. Please add outdoor lighting for safety and identification purposes.
