Awesome scenery in this warm and well-equipped cabin. Ready to getaway!!! This beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bath cabin is snuggled in the privacy of Lake Cumberland Resort. New Projection TV in the great room along with high-speed internet makes it easy to stay in touch or escape for a movie night with cable tv, Netflix, or your own streaming service. Each bedroom has its own access to a separate bath.
Ellie's Place has an ample curved driveway for your boat or ATV trailer-many cabins don't.
Enjoy the hot tub with Bluetooth audio in a private, screened porch along with a gas grill for your cookouts. A stone-ringed fire pit woos you to enjoy roasting marshmallows and share family fun. Ellie's Place offers a pool table in the game area, along with other games for family fun. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need, and then some!!Located in the gated community of Lake Cumberland Resort, Ellie's Place is considered one of the best equipped cabins in the area. The Resort offers 3 outdoor seasonal swimming pools and tennis court. Home is within a mile of Keno Boat Ramp and Shooting Range. Resort is surrounded by 500 acres of Daniel Boone National Forest. 30 minutes to Cumberland Falls State Park, Somersplash Waterpark, Marinas and golf. Nearby Somerset is nationally known for classic car shows from April through September.

Great place if you are looking for a quiet relaxing trip. Was great for us, spent lots of time on the lake and utilized the hot tub in the morning. Would definitely stay here in the future.

We came with our motorcycles to enjoy the roads of Kentucky. They have some amazing roads to ride. Cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed to feel at home. Hope to come back again pne day.

Family time

Our family of 6, all adults, had a great time at the cabin. The 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom was great. The owner h as thought of everything, this cabin was so well stocked. The cabin was very clean as well. We will definitely be back. though

Secluded gem!

Lovely place with lots of space and activities - puzzles, games, pool table. We loved the hot tub, grill, and eating area on the back deck! Open and comfortable main area with projection TV. Tucked back in the forest away from town but not too far when you want to stop by. We had a fantastic stay!

Great Nostalgia

It was absolutely fantastic for the money. A great value. Rochelle, the Momma, vacationed at Lake Cumberland as a child. It was great for her to see spots of her youth. Perfect Accommodations

Celebrated my birthday with friends and family (group of 4) at this beautifully suited cabin. Since we drove from Texas we showed up with very few supplies and found that everything we needed and more was onsite. Open floor concept upstairs with the kitchen leading onto both porches. Hot tub was definitely well maintained and the view from the back porch provided the best back drop to relax our cares away. From the kitchen to extra linen and detergent provided to head out with clean clothes, our stay was a dream. Fire pit downstairs with seating to enjoy the dancing flames in the quiet sounds of nature was a great touch for the Fall nights. We enjoyed visiting the local sights (our favorite was Cumberland Falls) and came home to whip up dinner in the amply equipped kitchen. Projector and speakers provided a nice soundtrack and the picture quality felt like a movie screen. I cannot say enough about how much we loved our stay but I will say that we are looking forward to visiting again soon!!!

We had a great time

We were looking to get away from everything and this place allowed us to do exactly that and still have all the needed amenities in a very nice way. We would have some small adjustments. A few of the games are in need of repair. There was a wasp nest in the west corner of the upstairs front porch that needs to be taken care of and perhaps already has been, not a problem for us, but I could see someone with kids being more concerned. The table cloth on the back porch is in need of replacement. Getting to the place could use some fine tuning on the final part of the directions, but admittedly we arrived at night when it was also very foggy. That said, we would ABSOLUTELY stay here again. The beds, the linens, the amenities, the comforts, and the privacy and seclusion were wonderful! The small issues named before would in no way keep us from coming back and were greatly outnumbered by how fantastic this place is and how much we enjoyed our stay. We would never hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

Peaceful and spacious

We enjoyed our stay at Ellie’s Place. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms available was a huge plus for our group. Driveway was easy to pull in and out. Pizza down the street was yum- just get there before they close. Cute little shop and ice cream! Starting supplies were available- I suggest bringing toilet paper as there was only 1 roll for each bathroom. Same recommendation for paper towels. Plenty of dish liquid for our 4 day stay. We were lucky spices were there upon our arrival. Lots of blankets, pillows and air mattress available plus chairs and a cooler were there. Overall cozy and comfortable. I leave these recommendations for the owner but do not let it influence your stay as this is a great place to stay!! Only recommendations I have is more lighting on the back porch near the grill. It was harder for us to see to cook. Also, take a look at the furniture - chair side came off on us and the couch was tough to close— this is for the owner it did not impact our stay at all. Furniture was comfy!! Time to upgrade the towels for a better quality for the guests. We enjoyed it and would recommend others to stay here!

Ellie’s Place - AMAZING!!!!!

Our first glimpse of Ellie’s Place was just as the pictures had represented, very well kept grounds and cabin. My niece and great niece could not get out of the vehicle fast enough to explore the cabin and claim the rooms where they would sleep. Both of them were very excited that the hot tub was ready for them to use, especially after the long drive to get there. My great niece was also very excited that she was going to have the bedroom with the video gaming chairs, games and movies. My niece claimed the bedroom on the second floor with sliding door access to the screened back porch and hot tub. We all enjoyed the spacious comfortable living room with the wall projector TV and the game room was a lot of fun as well. The kitchen was very nice and had all you could possibly need to prepare meals. The only drawback for me was having to go up and or down stairs to gain access to the living room/ kitchen areas from inside or outside of the cabin. For anyone with any knee, back issues or mobility problems having to go up and down 14 plus stair steps is not a easy thing. Overall we had a great time and would recommend this cabin for anyone that doesn’t have any mobility issues..

Clean, spacious, quiet area

Checkin was super easy, we were given very easy instructions for the gate and the house. Full kitchen set up with plenty of kitchenware, hottub was very clean, wifi is fast. Would love to stay here again.

Late Christmas

We missed Christmas with our grown children due to work schedules. We used the cabin as a meeting place to celebrate. We stay in VRBO’s regularly and this cabin is fantastic! Very clean! Our favorite yet! Had everything. We played pool, board games, spent time in the hot tub, and had several meals. We will be back.

Ellie's Place was purchased in 2018. This wonderful cabin is names after the owner's Kentucky-born granddaughter, Ellie Marie.

The Somerset-Pulaski County region offers memorable nature, recreational activities and social events. Somerset is nationally known for its monthly classic car cruise-ins and Ellie's Place rests in the woods minutes from Lake Cumberland boating and fishing areas. In 2023, Lake Cumberland was named as America's best recreational lake by a major media source. The region is a natural treasure and features Daniel Boone National Forest, a 700,000 acre reprieve from urban life.

Where do we begin to describe Ellie's Place? Let's start with a curved driveway so you can conveniently move your towed ATV or boat. Let's not forget it's a one-minute drive from Gate 3 of LCR. Or how about upper and lower porches and a private, screen porch in the back of the cabin.
Of course, there is the largest projection entertainment system in the resort. Guests have consistently commented on how well the cabin is stocked and equipped. Virtually everything you need for a wonderful stay besides food and beverage.
How about a large firepit for those cool nights...and, Ellie's Place remembered to offer comfortable cushions for when you sit at the pit and reflect on your day.
Sure, you can consider other cabins which may be older or less well-equipped, but we invite you to Ellie's Place for your visit.
