Forestlane Cottage 2

Summary:
Our 2021 constructed craftsmen cottage is nestled in the woods but very close to Palmer. This is a quiet 8 acre parcel but only 5 minutes from breweries, shops and restaurants in downtown Palmer. Close to Hatcher Pass, Independence Mine, Glaciers, Hiking, Musk Ox and Reindeer farms. The owner's house is also on the property and they are available to you throughout your stay. The owners have lived in Alaska for over 40 years and are committed to helping you with all there is to experience!

The Space:
Forestlane Cottages were designed and built solely by the owner with simplicity, efficiency and quality. The cottage and windows are situated to provide privacy but yet enjoy the outdoor space where it is located. Enjoy the private cedar wood porch in the morning sun or midday and evening shade from the surrounding trees. The cottage living room has a gas fireplace and reclinable couch chairs to enjoy a tv show or relax from a long day of adventure in Alaska. The kitchen is provided with all the utensils and cookware to provide guest everything they need to make a great home cooked meal.

Guest Access:
All guest have access to the full cottage and the surrounding woods. The quarter mile driveway through the woods and the half mile access road is vey lightly traveled and offer a pleasant walk and fantastic views of the fields and mountains that surround Palmer.

Beautiful cabin tucked into the woods. Very clean, well stocked, and comfortable. Peaceful and quiet. Would recommend. Wish we had more time there. And visit the musk ox farm only a few minutes away if you have time

Quiet clean cabin with everything you need!

We loved our stay in cabin 2! Cabin was neat and very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could need in it. We enjoyed the privacy in the trees yet it was close to everything you could need. We would absolutely stay here again. Geoff and Kirsten

This cabin in the woods was absolutely perfect. No surprises- no wondering how the pictures could have made it look so much bigger. Absolute peace and quiet, unplugged feeling sitting out on the porch but only 10 minutes into town if we needed anything. The cabin was immaculate and welcoming. The heating stove was terrific with separate temp controls for the bedroom. Rob and Vanessa were fantastic hosts, not only giving us a heads-up about a neighbor doing some earthwork ( that we never even heard) but having a few snacks waiting for us as they knew we would not have a chance to stop by Fred Meyer on the way in from the airport. They even offered a few “must see” suggestions. Believe the ratings - this has been one of the best stays we have ever booked on Vrbo.

Beautiful Cottage Retreat!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It exceeded our expectations and we decided it was just perfect. Rob and Vanessa were responsive and helpful throughout the renting process and our time there. Our cottage was clean, looked brand new and was well stocked with dishes, utensils, pans, linens, soaps, detergents and shampoos. Our bed was comfortable and the laundry facilities were excellent and appreciated as we were there toward the end of our trip. The location of this property was just amazing - in the woods, easily accessible, quiet and beautiful. We so enjoyed our stay. Thank you Rob and Vanessa for a memorable time at your cottage.

Cozy, Quiet and Beautiful

My family visited from out of state and I had them stay here, it was close to our home. It is such a beautifully built tiny home in a gorgeous forested area of Palmer’s farm country. They loved it and want to stay here when they visit from now on. The host was very easy to communicate with. I had requested a drip coffee maker and it was at the cabin when my family arrived. Great host, great place to stay! Highly recommend!

Exactly what I wanted in an AK stay

Fantastic cabin! Super cute. Clean. Located back in the trees to really feel special. Stayed with my husband. Cabin is equipped with what you'll need for a normal stay. Close to town but far enough we felt separated. Host is friendly & kept communication open. We wish plans allowed us to have stayed longer!

Wonderful stay in a charming cabin

We could not have been happier with our stay. Rob and Vanessa communicated with us at every step. Always friendly and helpful. The cabin was more than we expected. We felt right at home immediately. It had everything we needed. The furnishings and decorating were charming and new and fresh. The kitchen was well stalked. There was plenty of comfy bedding and towels. It felt like we were in the woods but we were just a short way from town. We especially appreciated the TV cable selections which went far beyond options we have had in other rentals. I hope we get back here soon.

Peaceful Cozy Cabin with amazing Charm

Communication with the owner was wonderful. They answered any questions immediately and also checked in to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful woods and took several walks down to the road. I cozied up with their little electric fire, took warm and inviting showers, cleaned my clothes after being out in the rain, baked goodies in the cure little oven, and even used the fire pit outside with cut wood provided. It was by far the most relaxing stay I have had in Palmer. Easy access to the front door and had a darling porch. The woods are stunning but I would recommend bug spray. The road accessing the cabin is on stunning rolling hills that display Pioneer Peak Mountain majestically. Just an all around amazing stay. I hope to stay again.

The cottage is in a beautiful, cozy location-close to anything and everything near Palmer and Wasilla areas. Our host was very nice and available. Communications we’re easy and welcomed. The cottage was perfect!! It’s more beautiful than the photos. Every detail was very thoughtful from the construction, design, and decor. Some very nice extra touches were added throughout making this a beautiful stay.! We will return!! Janice and Santiago
