Lovely condo and resort facility

The condo itself was very comfortable, clean, well stocked and accessible to the beach and other activities that we enjoyed. We also liked the availability of the beach chairs and towels. The surface parking was very accommodating and we had great communication with the owner who answered our many questions. The shopping facility across the street was especially nice and had a variety of shops and restaurants.The only unfortunate experience that we encountered was that the condo next door is being remodeled and the noise was extreme and lasted all day until 5. You really couldn’t enjoy the nice patio overlooking the great view. A “head’s up” would have been appreciated.

Paradise in the Sun

This condo was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We found everything we needed. The grounds of Kiahuna Plantation are beautiful and well maintained. The beach, beach chairs and beach towels were wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. Poipu was a great location for a winter visit; we found nice beaches for snorkeling and good hiking on the island. Seeing the turtles and seals on Poipu beach at sunrise and sunset was a thrill!

Perfect property

Property itself just what you what. Nicely decorated with modern appliances. Everything you need. Clean. Bed and sofa bed super comfortable. You can watch the ocean from the balcony and the winds blow through the unit when you open the vents to and keep it cool enough that you need a sheet at night. Owner is super responsive and kindly arranged a late checkout for us. Resort staff are nice. 3 min walk to beach, Starbucks, small grocery store, and multiple lunch spots and one sit down restaurant. The little fish is literally 60 second walk. Gym right across the street. Local beach is beautiful. 5 min walk tot he beach park for calmer water The rest of the island is an easy drive. We went everywhere. Safeway and Costco are on the way in from the airport and a 20 min drive when you run out of stuff.

Wonderful Condo in Poipu

What a wonderful stay! Great location, views, and property. Highly recommend. The condo was very clean, well stocked, and comfortably decorated. The A/C was such a plus! The king bed was comfortable and bathroom roomy with a great shower. We used the beach chairs, umbrella and small cooler every day. We were really happy with the 3rd floor location as it afforded wonderful views of the property and ocean. The resort amenities were fantastic. A short walk through the property landed us at the beach club located on a large grassy area just above the beach. Lounge chairs are available on the grass. Beach towel service was a big plus! The beach was fabulous. We didn't use the bbq area or the athletic club (with pool), but loved that these were options. The resort's location in Poipu was perfect. Just down the street from The Shops at Kukui'ula, an upscale, open-air shopping center that has everything you would need, and a farmer's market on Wednesdays! John was a great host with wonderful attention to detail. Communication was stellar. We will definite recommend this condo to our friends/family and will be back!

Great property and location

We had the best time here! First of all, the pictures don't do the condo/apartment and grounds justice. It was very nice inside, had everything we needed, and the 4 of us were all comfortable. We appreciated the coffee that came with the room. The property grounds were just lovely, and had big, grassy areas for play, BBQ pits to enjoy, and we all worked out and played pickleball at the athletic center. The beach access was right there, with Hawaiin Monk Seals and turtles resting on the beach every day and night (very protected under the watchful eyes of knowledgable volunteers). The surf was rough when we were there (March), but that didn't stop us from enjoying the water. The beach chairs and boogie boards that came with the room were used every day. Beach towel service was another plus. The location was close to hiking (well, we hiked the Pihea trail, which was a drive to the west, but we were likely as close as we could be, and it was a beautiful drive and hike!), other beaches, great food trucks and shopping. John as a host was very easy to work with and communicate with. We'll be back! (Oh, and across the road...Little Fish Coffee Shop...5 stars also!)

Loved this home! Great view and location. Only thing to consider is stairs to 3rd level and no AC. Plenty of fans to keep us cool at night.

Beautiful!

We thoroughly enjoyed our staying here! This unit was well updated, well-stocked, very clean, and the views are spectacular. It was perfect for a family of 4. Two people shared the king bed and the other two shared the sofa bed. I am generally not a fan of sofa beds, but this sofa bed was very comfortable. We love that the unit came with body boards, beach chairs, and a portable cooler for the beach. Overall, I highly recommend this unit. When we return to Kiahuna Plantation, we will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Location

A wonderful place

Lovely home overlooking Kiahuna Plantation and the beautiful waves of Poipu Beach. The view from the balcony is even better than the photo in the listing. Short walk to to the beach, and easy access to condo by car. Owner was helpful and responded very quickly.

Great condo with incredible view

We have stayed at several Kiahuna condos, and this one was particularly nice. The unit was private, quiet, comfortably furnished, and nicely updated. There was a boogie board and beach chair in the closet, which we used regularly. You do have to take three flights of stairs to reach the unit, so that could be problematic for some. The only complaint I have is that the Christian-themed art in the unit is really over the top and felt indoctrinating. The religious art could be toned down significantly and perhaps replaced with some tasteful island-theme pieces. Art aside, however, we really enjoyed our stay.

Awesome food and fun towns like Hanapepe to visit. Beach was beautiful as always and even snuck in a quick hike in Waimea Canyon.

Pros: Kiahuna Plantation is a really nice family friendly resort. Short walk to the beach on property Good pool for the kids The Unit was very clean, and nicely remodeled Great big balcony to relax on Very Comfy Bed 2 Major Cons: 1. No AC. We checked in late and it must have been 100 degrees, extremely humid. they have about 8 fans in the unit which we turned on, but without leaving the front door open there was no cross breeze until very late and it remained hot. Also sleeping with so many fans on makes my throat dry, is loud and generally unpleasant. The rest of the stay wasnt too bad, once the breeze kicked it, but for the price we paid I would never book without AC again. 2. This rental unit needs a TRIGGER WARNING. Every single piece of art, every single couch pillow, had bible quotes and Christian jargon. The "art" is extreme - think pictures of Jesus with adam and eve and stairway to heaven and generally the stuff you find at church, not vacation. There were 10 commandments in the bathroom. Why do you need 6 couch pillows with different bible quotes? It is impossible to ignore and could be unwelcoming if you are of a different religion, or even triggering if you had a bad relationship with Catholism in your past (thinking of anyone kicked out of school because they were gay, affected by priest abuse, ect). In my opinion this level of religious dogma is completely inappropriate for a rental property. Smaller issues include the beach being very small - just be aware. Looks like it was mostly washed away. 2 sets of stairs up and down with no elevator (so carrying your luggage). Also this property is closest to the highway and furthest from the beach. You could hear the highway at night because you had to leave everything open due to no AC.

Savouring the sun, sand and surf!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! It had one of the most beautiful views of the ocean from the lanai and we saw whales most mornings while drinking our coffee. The grounds are so well-kept with amazing lush foliage. We spent most of our time at the beautiful beach which is just a few minutes’ walk from the condo. The Poipu athletic club is also a nice amenity to have available. We played tennis, pickleball, ping pong, used the gym and the pool. Although we were awoken by the resident roosters the first morning, we quickly got used to them and didn’t notice them much after that. Compared to the other units that our friends were staying in, our unit was the nicest and most updated of them all. We were very pleased over all!

The Kiahuna plantation has been a special place to us. We have been coming to the islands for years and wanted to have the ability to share it with our friends and family. The private and beautiful resort is unique and absolutely worth visiting.

Remodeled, top floor and private. This romantic indoor/outdoor space in incredible. Full size kitchen and living space with A/C. When my wife and I saw this location we fell in love with it. The views are amazing and during whale season you can see them breach from the deck! There is no other property like this one!
