Bright, cheery beach house on the canal! NEMA 14-50 outlet in driveway for you to plug in your cable to charge your car. Updated kitchen, master bedroom with king bed, loft with queen bed, and the den has a couch for the perfect nap. Bring your kayaks to cruise the canal, or go to beach and fly kites. Visit the near by Interpretive Center, hike close by trails. Or stay in and enjoy sitting on the deck watching the otters, blue heron, visiting deers, or roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Ask about last minute booking discounts!

Canal Getaway

The house is beautiful inside and out. There are so many wonderful creatures that visit- from deer to birds to even bats! Very close to the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. Come here for a lovely time.

Want to keep this place a secret!

Great little cottage in a beautiful location. Loved the walk to the beach but really appreciated the quiet canal view. Well appointed kitchen, pretty little touches with the towels folded on the beds, and bright airy space. Will be booking again.

Great experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and conveniently located. We especially enjoyed the dock on the canal. There was a lot of wildlife to observe, especially deer right on the property. We will definitely be back next year.

Great Space on the Canal

Quiet, private and very clean! We enjoyed watching the deer and birds. The house is lovely and well cared for. Very convenient to town and beach access away from the crowds. Would love to go back!

Cozy getaway!

What an absolutely darling A frame on the canal!! The owners thought of everything and the details were amazing. The view and location is perfect and we enjoyed dining at the Oyhut bistro! The beds were so comfortable that we didn’t want to get up! We are excited to come back again.

Sofa clean and comfortable. Beds very uncomfortable.

I am senior and the only way to sleep on the rock hard mattress was to pad it with spare pillows. There is no air conditioning so in the afternoons I could not sit on the wonderful, soft clean sofa to read since the heat was more than I could tolerate. The rug in the living room was so dirty I rolled it up. There were nice, thoughtful touches like cold filtered water in the fridge, dog bones, and Band-Aids available. I did not stay the last night because I needed a good sleep.

Perfect!

The home was clean, well stocked, and is an amazing location. Sitting at the water’s edge I watched ducks, birds fly by, and a few otters swimming by. The owner replied quickly and friendly to any questions. A perfect OS home.

4th of July Week

Well equipped and great location on the canal. We had fun paddle boarding and fishing off the dock. Knowing what to do with our garbage was a bit of a puzzle, because we were there for a full week and there was only one small can under the deck.

Ocean Shores on the canal

Relaxing time, chill’n @ the cozy cabin! We enjoyed our family time cooking breakfast, sipping coffee, putting puzzles together, watching movies & walking out to Damon Point. We were lucky and had nice weather for this time of year! We want to come back with a kayak to get out on the canal. We loved how quiet this area is, so peaceful and beautiful.

Ocean Shores Getaway

We celebrated our 31st anniversary at this cute, cozy cottage. Was a little surprise that it needed some major TLC. The shower and bathroom sink did not drain well. The hot water tank in the bathroom was very loud, we could hear it in the bedroom all night. The sliding door was very hard to slide.

Relax Enjoy

Very nice home with a nice deck. Tastefully decorated with the beach vibe. Has everything you would need for a relaxing time. Being right next to the canal with a nice little dock was an added bonus. Very close to the beach and town. Loved having the deer stopping by in the morning and late afternoon! Would highly recommend this home! Great communication with the owner. They made sure we had everything we needed and if we had any problems let them know. We didn’t have any issues! Would stay there again.

This House is Like Going to the Zoo.

Great Location, Saw, Deer, Salmon and Carp, Trout and River Otter in Canal. Above us was about 100 Sparrows. and At Night Maybe A Bear? Saw droppings that looked like Bear Droppings? House Great, but Wifi Spotty at Times.

It was perfect for us

It was better in person than in the pictures. Obvious improvements have been recently made. Loved the location! Being on the canal was a very different and pleasant experience at OS. Tried my hand at casting a line off the dock and although I didn't yield any fish, I didn't lose any gear either which made it an undisturbed and positive activity as a morning person while my sister slept in. A gaggle of geese watched me fish from a distance so I was never really alone. The one and only neighbor was a very nice couple who relayed only warm greetings. There was only one thing I wish that the home had available; we were unable to find a vacuum cleaner. As a service dog handler I feel it is my responsibility to clean up after my dog and was feeling guilty about not being able to vacuum the carpeted staircase and upper bedroom. Dog owners should be aware that sand burrs are prominent in grassy areas everywhere at Ocean Shores and will learn quickly that there are a few small patches to avoid on the property as well. Thanks Jean! We loved your place!

This property is located close to the ocean and abuts a nice canal.There is a sturdy little dock you can sit on and watch birds and dragonflies from: very relaxing.They aren’t kidding about the “sunny” aspects as, when it isn’t foggy out, the western sunshine streams into the front room. Don’t leave chocolate on the counter top!Ocean Shores is a nice area and there’s a lot of fun things to do and places to eat at.The only issues worth mentioning are: the single bathroom’s toilet is tiny, as in it’s too small for adults to use comfortably - it’s a child’s sized toilet; also, there was (is) a Dirt Devil vacuum in the main bedrooms closet that has never been emptied and, as I found out the hard way, reeks when ran. Overall, even with the aforementioned issues, we liked staying here and appreciate the owners making this available for rent. Also, for a pet friendly place, it’s relatively clean.
