Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Perfect family room.

This condo is perfect. Out 16yo had her own room and it it has been a had their house en room with bunk beds as well. We had a perfect view for fireworks and the harbor. As close as you are to the harbor and activities when the doors are closed it’s still pretty quiet. Only heard sporadic boat horns and the pirate cannon but it was very quiet at night!!

Unit needs a major update

The unit is incredibly outdated. The HVAC was difficult to keep steady - it was either freezing or burning up in the unit. The fridge made constant buzzing noises and at one point switched the fridge unit (on its own) to freezing and froze all the liquids inside. The stovetop was incredibly difficult to use because the degree of heat (high-med-low) etc was not visible - all the labels are all worn off. Just in general, it all needs updating. Also, very few kitchen goods - missing pots and pans and various other things you usually expect to have. The unit was VERY WELL-CLEANED, which was a positive.

Beautiful views / Great location

We stayed at the Emerald Grand for a long weekend. It was two couples, and our friends had never been to Destin. Emerald Grand offered us a great location to park our car when we got there and walk everywhere that we wanted to go without driving the entire weekend. Our 3 bedroom condo was on the 10th floor that provided us amazing views of the harbor, the pool, the ocean, and the fireworks! The condo was a bit outdated with the furniture, but the space, location and views were perfect. We would highly recommend this location!

Many nice touches, like beautiful crown moldings in the rooms, and a few laundry and dishwasher pods. Main closet was full of beach toys and basically unusable. More trash bags and blankets would be beneficial. Carpets need a good cleaning or replacement. Bunk room was very small. It would be good for kids but no dresser or closet for suitcases.

Loved Emerald Grande - this apartment no so much

Firstly, Emerald Grande is the place to stay if you want to be in the midst of lots to do without driving. We will definitely stay at the Emerald Grande again. The staff and amenities are great and there's always something going on. That being said, we would not stay in this apartment again, nor do we recommend it. For those already booked, just a warning that we had to keep all the food we bought iced in a cooler for the entire week as the refrigerator did not work. We contacted Vacasa and someone did eventually show up while we were out, but it was not fixed and no one contacted us the rest of the week to resolve it for us. We did lose some of our food and it just made our stay more difficult. It was especially disappointing because earlier reviews mentioned the refrigerator issues which have apparently been ignored. There is also a strong odor of something being spilled on the carpeting or furniture and not cleaned in this apartment. Never could find where it was coming from. With a little TLC this would be a good apartment with a great view. I will never stay in a Vacasa property again.

FIRE VACASA!

Worst experience EVER with resolving reservation issue that VACASA, its system and employees, manage data input - FAILURE! 4 phone calls, 3 text messages attempting to right my reservation set on Dec. 25, 2022 for my May 4-8 2023 stay - no changes on my end, ever, for the requested stay. 4 months to correct and my family and I get the shaft. Issue was resolved through the wonderful folks at Emerald Grande - NOT VACASA!!!! I made contact and provided my email traffic as evidence. VACASA IS an abject failure as a company!

Great location with outrageous fees.

The fees on this property were outrageous. What we spent on the nightly rate doubled in cost because of fees. The oven didnt work right and they did not have a blender. When we tried to get a hold of property for early chrck in our call was not returned. Location was great.

Summer vacations

This was our first stay at the Emerald Grande, but it will definitely not be our last. Everything was perfect for my family, and the property is located in the heart of the Boardwalk District. Food, music, entertainment, fishing - this property is perfect for the family. The Beach Shuttle and Beach Service were always impeccable and made our stay super enjoyable.
