The cabin is big enough for a large group and all the king beds were a nice touch- but it felt cold- no throw pillows on couches, no blankets besides on the bed. The floors are in rough shape! For such a nice cabin vinyl laminate plank flooring is wild, so many areas need attention. The pool is so cold and was not heated at all. If you have little ones you must bring everything including extra wide gates as there are so many steps- which you can rent but book those way in advance because they clearly only have a few because they did not have any available during our stay. The cabin is close to town which is nice and there is a grocery store less than a mile away. We also experienced a bear which was the highlight of our trip!

Overall we had a great experience. We had an issue with the pool & with a portable refrigerator on the first day. Maintenance responded quickly and handled both problems quickly. Brian & James were friendly and professional. The cabin was clean and in good shape.Parking was a little confusing for our cabin since it was the only cabin that didn't have a pad adjacent to the cabin. Once we found the designated parking spots, it was fine.I would suggest that more than 2 dishwasher pods be supplied, 2 garbage bags per day be supplied & a recycling bin be made available.

We loved the house! The kitchen floor needs fixed by refrigerator and one if the kitchen table chairs needs legs tightened. Other than that, the place was perfect!

TN Adventure- 1yr Anniversary

This was the perfect cabin for the 8 of us… we had plenty of room and the extras made our stay full of memories. The cabin was very clean and easy to get to. There were a few floor tiles that have lifted in kitchen and in the game room but nothing to cause any safety concerns. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Extened Weekend Getaway

1st of all the cabin is gorgeous! Perfect for couples getaway because each room has a king/queen bed. Check in was smooth and someone stopped by briefly to explain parking and trash pick up. We had other questions about how to operate the pool and alarms. They were quickly answered on-site as well. The sauna and hot tub were a joy. We used that more than the pool. The pool temperature was fine for us. Overall we would definitely recommend this place and if given the opportunity we would rent it again.

Fireside Retreat… Awesome!

We took the entire family for a Christmas vacation and this place was not only everything advertised, it was everything we could have needed! From spacious king bedrooms, awesome layout and the indoor pool (was perfect for the kiddos)!. Everything was well designed and equipped for an awesome stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a full family getaway!

Christmas Crisis

The house was right size for our group of 14. However, only 2 parking spaces were allocated for our group. When we arrived, we found only a few garbage bags and limited paper supplies (paper towels, TP), and limited dishwasher soap. We called the number for the property manager and requested more supplies and we were told that we had to supply extras ourselves. Further, VTBO slapped on additional fees and the time of bookings that we feel we were excessive. I will not be renting from this company again.

The property itself was great. I asked a few questions and got a quick response. The only negative is that for such a big place, there should be more parking closer to the cabin. However, there is parking, it’s just a walk.

Nice stay

Overall the cabin was great. The jaccuzi in the master suite the jets didnt work and the pool was not at 82 degrees it was quite cold. We found a few items that were left from prior guest but we had so much fun i didnt even have time to complain. I would definitely stay again.

Family vacation

Family Getaway

My family and my spouses family stayed at Fireside Retreat for four days in early June. We appreciated the amenities including the pool table, hot tub and the outdoor and indoor pools. There were plenty of kitchen necessities which was nice. The closest grocery store was mere minutes away. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and would book again.

Great for a large group and kids

Overall, we enjoyed this property. It offered so much and our kids loved being at the house as much as they loved doing outside activities. There was plenty of room. Parking was not a huge issue for us, as the spaces were essentially across the street. My only “complaints” would be that the indoor pool was freezing. I did call and message on the app to try to get it fixed, but no one ever came or wrote me back. Additionally, I never received the check in text I was supposed to. I called and they updated my number (more than once), but I still never got the texts. They had to give me the door code over the phone.
