Ihana, viehättävä ja rentouttava paikka pitää taukoa elämästä tai juhlia sitä. Kävelymatkan päässä on järvi Galena jossa voit vuokrata veneen risteily ympäri, kalastaa, tai telakka satunnaisesti paikoissa ja tutustua metsän. Kalat (paljon se) peräisin peer tai vuokrata vene, nauttia lentopallo, jalkapallo, koripallo ja tenniskentät sekä yksi parhaista golfkentistä maailmaa! Lähistöllä on Galena kaupunki ja sen sisällissota-aikakauden charmia, yksityiset viinitilat kanssa viininmaistajaiset päivittäin, paikallinen juusto päättäjille, ainutlaatuinen kastikkeet, makeisia, sekä antiikkikauppoja. Hieno valikoima ravintoloita, fancy ranska, italia, jotta pikkukaupungin ruokailijoille ja Burger nivelissä (yksi kirjaimellisesti nimeltään "Burger Joint", sen mahtava!). New Year Family Gathering

We had a very nice family gathering for New Years. Some people will say that the cabin looks old and required some upgrades but for us was okay and we liked the price. Overall the cabin was okay and we enjoyed staying here.

The listing is wrong and we based our stay on that. Disappointing.

The house was nice enough, but the online description said 6 keys for clubhouse and there were only 5 and we had 6 people, advertised 2 futons in the loft and there was only one couch, and one of the main reasons we picked this house is because our boys 21 and 18 both loved the whirlpool last year. Which, when they went to use it didn't turn on. We tried the breakers and my husband even unscrewed the panel to find the breaker or GFI inside the whirlpool, we had one ages ago, and none of the fixed and turned on the whirlpool. We called the owner around 8pm on our check in day and she gave me the number for the manager, I called and he said to do all the things that we already did but I did them again just to be sure, and then he said he would come out the next day in the afternoon. He did come out the next day in the afternoon and did all the things we had done, checked everything we had checked and said, "well, we tried" and left. :-( there was no trying besides all the things we did. So, no whirlpool the 3 days; 2 nights we were there and one of our boys slept on the floor in the loft because of the lack of additional futon or couch to sleep on. It was disappointing for our yearly trip to Galena over the last 21 years, and we have stayed at many houses in the territory, this was one we will not repeat. Just be cautious it may not be what is advertised.

Time away

The house was very nice, well furnished with dishes, towels, kitchen needs, etc. The "trail" to the lake was not "walkable". We were not aware the lake does not allow swimming. One of the toilets did not flush, but after notifying the management, the issue was resolved quickly. We enjoyed the use of the grill and hot tub. The refrigerator water and ice were not connected and there was no notice to that effect. There were conflicting check out times on the internet and the papers at the house.

Bit disappointed

House really some repairs and upgrades. Coffee pot took over 1hr to brew a pot of coffee, Freezer didn’t keep things frozen, upstairs toilet didn’t flush right, shower leaked into downstairs bathroom ceiling when in use. No instructions in house on how to access pool or marina. Very few towels. Was only left with 5 access cards for pool when we had 6 family members, had to pay $5 each time for all 6 of us to go to pool. Communication with homeowner was not good. I left messages with her on wondering what to do with linens when leaving she never replied. Galena was very nice but disappointed with house.

Military Reunion

Girls weekend

The property was wonderful. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub. Mornings in the screened in porch were a favorite. We would definitely come back to this house for another girls weekend.

Wonderful getaway cabin

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had a friends trip - mom’s weekend away. The cabin was beautiful and clean. We were very pleased with the outdoor space, the hot tub was incredible, and the deck and screened in patio were wonderful spaces to spend time in as well. Easy drive into Galena for dinner. The only complaints we had were there were only 5 full sized bath towels in the entire place (we looked everywhere) and there were 6 of us staying. Also the beds were very uncomfortable. This place would be perfect if it included more towels and replace those beds or add some foam toppers at the very least!

Only negative thing id say is the uncomfortable beds. Other than that the amenities provided were adequate and in a good area of the galena territory. 15 min drive into the town.

Gorgeous Galena Property

This was my first time taking a trip to Galena. I decided to make it a mother-daughter trip. The cabin itself was absolutely gorgeous! The hot tub was a hit as well! It was incredibly peaceful and serene. Downtown was only 10-12 minutes away and we enjoyed exploring, shopping and eating! The property owner was incredibly helpful when questions arose and answered lighting fast! I highly recommend this place and am looking forward to returning for future visits!

Description of property.

The house is lovely and we used the screen deck and grill and the Wi-Fi was robust and stable. The description of the house is misleading. There are photos of 4 bedrooms even if the written description lists 3. The written description also says that there is a pull out futon and sofa in the living room There is one small futon in the loft but we could not determine that the sofa or love seat pull out or recline. We had 5 individuals and were counting on the pull out bed. No information left in the house, except for garbage. No directions for the hot tub, how to use the amenities (pool, restaurant, etc) at the resort, where to find extra linens, what to do with the dirty linens, etc. accurate and more complete information would improve the experience of staying at this house.

Nice getaway during COVID

The cabin was perfect escape during COVID. We had a relaxing week exploring trails around the cabin and soaking in hot tub while looking at the amazing night sky filled with stars. Having laundry in the cabin was a huge bonus with kids. We also enjoyed the screened porch — ate there pretty much every meal. The internet service was spotty and slow — if you plan on working while you’re there expect slow connectivity. Perhaps an upgraded router can help improve the internet speed. For better experience, bring your preferred cleaning products (i.e. dish soaps, cleaning spray, hand soaps, shampoo and body wash). If you plan on cooking a lot at the cabin, you might want to bring your own knives as the knives at the cabin were dull. The pots and pans were acceptable. Grill can be updated. Overall, this cabin was a great place for a relaxing weekend.

Great Getaway!

A few couples spent the weekend in the luxury of this home. We really enjoyed the hot tub, living room, and kitchen, but would’ve loved some updated mattresses as they were a bit old and worn. Also, we never received any sort of notification that included the code to get in, but Tatiana answered immediately and helped us out. Overall, we would definitely go there again!
