Perfect Getaway

We were in the area to visit Niagara Falls. Only about a 30 minute drive to the falls and yet the cute house felt like we were in the country. Loved everything about it but especially walking a couple of blocks to watch the sunset over Lake Ontario!!

Fishing and sightseeing adventure

Spent a few days in the area seeing the sights and doing some fishing. The Red House had everything we needed and was located in a nice quiet neighborhood. Frank was very accommodating and helped us when we needed anything.

The house was as good as advertised. It had everything we would need and then some. Frank had everything detailed in a welcome book as well as some drinks in the refrigerator, snacks, and a bottle of wine when we arrived. The house was 30 minutes from Niagra Falls and very close to several State Parks. Highly recommend.

Loved the house!

Really great space and the fact that it was recently renovated made it feel very comfortable! Lots of special little touches added by the hosts created a sense of connection although we didn't have the opportunity to meet them in person. Would definitely stay again!

Great place!

Frank is such a thoughtful and welcoming host. The “Red House” was very clean, had all the necessary amenities for a family, and is in a great location for jump off to all the activities in the area. Highly recommend!

Quiet neighborhood and a nice house

The house is clean, spacious and easy to get to. We didnt get a chance to use the fire pit but the yard was nice as well.

A perfect home away from home

What a perfect place! The home was nicely decorated and a calm retreat. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. Frank and Katie had thought of everything. We felt so welcomed. Thank you for a wonderful haven!

An amazing experience

The place was clean and comfortable. The hosts paid special attention to tiny details that can make any Vrbo experience better (lile extra towels, drinks in the fridge, wine, etc.). The place is also close to a local beach and only 30 mins away from Niagara State Park. Checkin and Checkout processes were simple as well. Very happy with our experience because our family had a wonderful time.

Niagara Falls/Wilson/Lake Ontario

Frank and Katie were awesome hosts. House was as described in previous reviews and matched the on line description. Wi-Fi was available for our tele worker while the rest of the family enjoyed kayaking at Wilson Tuscarora state park. Niagara Falls was a short distance away and we ended up going back and visiting Whirlpool State Park on the day back to the airport. Temperatures were in the 70s, a welcome break from the 100 degree days of Texas.

The Red House Has it All

Our family had a great stay at Franks Little Red House!! We loved the on demand hot water, never ran out. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals at the house. The location is great, quiet neighborhood. The kids enjoyed the board games, and outdoor games. Frank left some pumpkins for the kids to carve, we didn't get to them but we brought them home and will send pictures soon! If you are going to Niagara Falls this is a great lodging option if it is available for sure!!

A class reunion with "old' friends

Three friends and I stayed at the Red House to attend our Lockport H.S. reunion for our 75th birthdays, and to catch up on old times. Our reunion party was great, of course, but staying at Frank and Katie's cottage made the visit all the better. Through the years, I've stayed at a number of cottages along the lake. This was the best. Thanks, Frank & Katie for your hospitality! Larry

Red house-patality

From the moment we opened the door it felt like home. Little special touches and fun around every corner. Beds were very comfy. Plenty of room for our stuff. The bathroom floor was awesome. Great job. Thank you so much for the special yummy wine. My only complaint was we couldnt stay longer and enjoy the outdoor activities and fire pit. I hope we cleaned up ok. We were exhausted from the wedding fun. Thank you again.

The Red House in Wilson New York

We had a wonderful time staying at the Red House in Wilson New York. From the moment we walked in the door to see a kind note from our hosts, we noticed how cheerful and bright this home is. Everything we needed was there for us to use, the kitchen is fully stocked, lots of towels and washcloths in the bathrooms. There were individual air conditioning units in the house which we used occasionally but the house stayed nice and cool even without air conditioning. We did not use the fire pit, but it was nice to have the option. There was a nice area to sit outside and eat on the back patio. The neighborhood is very private and quiet. We were close to all the things we wanted to do. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

Perfect spot

We had three adults and two kids, and we loved our stay at the red house. It was an easy trip down to Lewiston and Niagra Falls but we appreciated coming home to this quiet neighborhood on the shores of Lake Ontario. The house has nice furnishings and a lot of details that show not only skill but also love for the environment they are wanting to create in the home. You can get down the edge of the lake in no time or you can visit the state park just across the bridge for a walkable and swim-friendly beach. If you want to just hang out at the house, you have lots of outdoor space with a patio and a fire pit area. Plenty of room to play the cornhole game they have there or even throw a frisbee or football. In short, we would definitely come back for another stay if we were visiting the area again.
