Easy walk to the beach, harbor and downtown!
Charming two-bedroom home with comfy sleeper couch (sleeps 6 total) overlooking the river and marina. You’ll wake to the sound of seagulls over the river and birds chirping in the woods while you enjoy your morning coffee on the screened-in porch. Walk to the beautiful public beach or stroll to the harbor and visit the new Maritime Museum. End the day with an evening walk into the charming town of South Haven for dinner, drinks, and a movie. The adjacent woods and large lot make it ideal for families, but the private location is perfect for a romantic getaway. The large master bedroom has a four-poster bed, and the full-size bathroom has a combo shower/tub. Plenty of closet space throughout. Delightful open floorplan with a breakfast bar and fully equipped kitchen to prepare the fish you caught on the North Beach pier!

Very dated decor and kitchen. No disposal or dishwasher, 1 bathroom very small with mirror not much bigger than 8x10. No full length mirror anywhere, stained rugs, bed linens sub standard. Sleeps 6 but only table seating for 2. Screens on porch could use some maintenance. Location was good for downtown but overpriced for accommodations.

Amazing location and extremely clean!

We came during off-season, and this VRBO was in an excellent location along with easy access and plenty of room to spread out. We intend on using this VRBO location again!

We had a great stay in South Haven! The home was in a perfect location. We loved having breakfast and dinners in the screened in porch. Lisa had great communication and we enjoyed staying at her rental.

Great location. Easy walk to beach on Lake Michigan and easy walk to downtown South Haven. There is a city park within a block where we visited an art fair. The host was in contact with us and attentive to our needs. Nice place for family gathering.

The property was darling and close to the downtown and the beach.

We walked into an immaculate home with all the amenities. I met the neighbors and they were incredibly welcoming and helpful. It was my first time in South Haven and I will be returning. The communication with the host was outstanding. I feel like we are friends.

Nice location and living room

We had a family reunion in South Haven and found the living room very able to accomodate us. Master Bedroom is very large. Location is not too busy for being so close to city center. A couple of doors were hard to close, but apart from that, didn't have mechanical issues. AirCon was very nice and worked perfectly. Loved the screened porch and the grill worked just right. Bonus was that two baby fawns were born in the gully next to the house. Very cool!

Wonderful place!!

The house/cottage is in a great place!! It was actually bigger than we needed, but it was the right price and location. The owner was VERY responsive when the TV had a connection problem. My only reason for giving a 4 star is that the bed in the small room was not very supportive to my back. I did sleep well though. I would also add that this house/cottage is not handicap accessible for anyone looking for such a place. All this said, NO complaints!!

Great location, beautiful home, stay cut short ....

This home is located a block from Captain Lou's and only a couple blocks from the not so crowded Dyckman Beach. In a safe neighborhood, it's within walking distance from anything you need, but still feels secluded with a small creek in the back yard. Screened in porch for relaxing. Cleanliness is at a 4 just because of a couple of nails on the floor throughout the house and some dog hair. I had to leave a day early due to bedding/pillowcases being washed in a detergent that was far too strong, or too much detergent. I had a headache, burning eyes and itching from it. The bed was also lumpy, so between the two sleeping was difficult. Both are easy fixes with less, or a milder, detergent and some foam egg carton toppers. Everything else was a breeze, as described and provided for, would definitely stay again if I knew the bedding situation was resolved!!

Perfect home in the heart of South Haven! We could walk to the beach and also to the restaurants on the river. It was a large and spacious house which was perfect for our famiyl with kids. We loved the screened in porch as well! Plus the tire swing was a bonus surprise. We loved this home and will be back!

My fiancé and I had an amazing weekend in South Haven staying at Lisa's property. The property was very clean, check-in and communication with the owner was great, it really exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, less than 10 minute walk to the beach or downtown. We will definitely look to stay in this property again when returning to the area.

The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the screened porch and the smart TV for movies at night after sun filled days at the beach and downtown. Everything we eanted to do was truly walkable. Shopping, restaurants, beach, liquor store with snacks and ice. The bathroom is tiny and might be small for a larger person but worked just fine for us. Shower had great water pressure.We cooked full meals and kitchen had everything we needed. AC was very comfortable and everything was clean. Very cute place!I'd come back for sure.

House was just as described, perfectly clean and lots of space inside! The four seasons room was the best for meals and playing games. Kids loved the tire swing and there’s a good amount of yard to the side of the house. Once we parked the car didn’t need to drive again we walked all over downtown and also to multiple beaches including the main north beach.

Beautiful home and perfect location

the house is just fabulous - clean, spacious and amenities wonderful. The house is located close enough to downtown to walk, surrounded by park and beach. If you want to just relax the closed in porch is a great spot to kick back and read a book. Both Saugatuck and Holland are close 20-30 minute drive i travel with my large dog and it was perfect for him as well. Beautiful areas to walk your furry family members and he enjoyed the porch as well as the yard. Lisa the owner was most accommodating and responded immediately to any questions i had. i will certainly rent this property again!

Fall Getaway

Wonderful location for walking to downtown and beaches! Home is comfortable and bright. We enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch. Hosts were helpful and kind. Be aware that you need to go up a flight of stairs to enter the house. It was not an issue for us but it could be a barrier to some. We would definitely stay here again!
