The large yard is great for kids to play while grilling out overlooking the sunset sky and canal views. Around the corner, Southern Shores has a boat ramp and multiple parks within walking distance. Find shops, restaurants, grocery, coffee shop, all within 2 miles. Beach access parking pass is included!

COVID-19 Friendly - Routine cleaning & sanitized space! Watermen's Retreat is a great location to many local amenities. You and your guests will have the privacy of this whole property to yourselves. The downstairs storage and garage is locked and unavailable for guest use. The centrally air-conditioned upper level has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. There is a brand new 69” smart TV in the living room area and WiFi internet service is provided. Guests enjoy the back porch sitting area overlooking the backyard and canal. The back yard is equipped with a picnic table to compliment the grilling experience. Additional poly wood seating is located down by the canal - a great place to relax after a day in the sun. By boat/kayak/jet ski, you can take the canal out to the main Bay where boaters commonly water ski, wakeboard, tube, fish and cruise. There is also an outdoor shower located near the garden. Take advantage of this property’s location by biking, boating or driving to Duck’s Waterfront Shops, sunset boardwalk or local restaurants to enjoy live music and some of the best scenery on the OBX!

Trash cans go to curbside on Sunday and Thursday night for early morning pick up. Recycling goes out Tuesday night for early morning pick up.

Please return all items where you found them. There will be a charge for all lost items. Please do not damage kayaks. Return everything where found prior to departing. The charge of any missing/damaged property will be assessed based on replacement/repair cost.

Many visitors remark on the bizarre town names spread along the Outer Banks, and one of the names that causes the most head-scratching is Kitty Hawk. A small but popular vacation town in the busy central Outer Banks, Kitty Hawk was originally deemed "Chicahawk" by its original Native American residents, meaning a "place to hunt geese". Over the generations, the names changed slightly, the area became more developed, and the town became the popular tourist destination it is today.

Outer Banks vacationers find that Kitty Hawk has a little something for everyone, including fantastic beaches, plenty of shops and restaurants, and even a large section of maritime forest where visitors can enjoy quiet nature trails.
