Minutes to DE TURF FIELDS. Quiet beach community.

Great getaway for those looking for a more quiet beach experience. We are located only 1/4 mile from the bay. A mere 10 minutes from DE Turf! We are only 30 minutes from the popular beach resorts of Delaware with loads of activities for the family. Seafood lovers will enjoy the endless supply of local seafood restaurants available. Public boat slip available. Jps on the wharf is a favorite in Bowers Beach. The town will host live music every 3rd Friday in the summer months. Jps also has live music most weekends in the summer months, outside seating available on the wharf. Memorial weekend will bring out the Pirates for the towns annual Buchaneer Bash. Our home offers a large deck to relax on that faces the marshes of the bay. We have 3 bedrooms plus a queen pullout, all with new mattresses. A small BBQ grill is available for your use, propane gas will be a $10.00 charge. Eating seating for 9 as well as sleeping for 9 with 2 full bathrooms. The home has been recently renovated and everything is brand new. You can walk the beach easily...stroll down to the docks, stop at Jps for a bite, take your own boat out or hop aboard the Captains Lady which offers charter fishing trips as well as moonlight trips. Check their schedule for events. Bowers is truly a hidden gem. Come check it out for yourself.
A hold harmless agreement must be signed prior to use for fire pit and BBQ grill. Prior notice must be given so that we can unlock them.

Nice weekend stay

We had a great time at Brenda's place; very comfortable home with enough room for 3 teens and 2 adults. It's quiet and charming and very close to Rehoboth and Lewes beaches. Would definitely stay again!

Great place to stay!

We stayed at the Lazy Seagull while we were working an event at the DE turf complex. The house was exactly what we needed from us and it was so clean and neat. We are looking forward to staying there again for our next event!

Great location near DE Turf

We had a great stay at this property while in town for a tournament at DE Turf. Hands down better then a hotel and less than 15 min from the fields. We had 3 families and were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was great. We will definitely look to this property for future tournaments at DE Turf. Thank you!

Great location

House is cute and perfect for what we needed. Owners were responsive and let us stay an extra hour after check out. Only thing that would have been nice would be a little cleaner house - there are cobwebs and lots of bugs (which are not the owners fault) but are frustrating.

Lazy Seagull was great!

The house was great! Very clean, cozy, well- stocked, and host was very responsive! Owners were flexible with check out time. Close to DE Turf fields. Will definitely be back!

Lovely house and town

Bowers Beach is a hidden gem! We stayed here while working a tournament at the DE turf complex. The location is perfect. The house is so comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the stretch of beach and restaurant on the water. We will definitely be back next summer!

Beautiful home close to the beach

We had an amazing stay! Brenda was easily reached when needed, she was kind and responsive. My children and I had an incredible time at the buccaneer bash and playing on the beach. The house was absolutely beautiful and my children loved the room upstairs. The house was very well maintained and decorated beautifully. The beds were super comfortable! It’s a wonderful house for a family to stay and enjoy the short ride to the beach!

No stone left unturned! Beautiful home!

The Lazy Seagull is exactly how it is listed, quiet beachy retreat. The house is immaculate and fully stocked. We were in DE for a baseball tournament at Sports at the Beach. 3 adults and 4 teenagers from L.I. NY. First let me say, the house is immaculate and beautifully decorated. I love the beach theme and it's apparent throughout the house. The owners have thought of everything to make it so easy and convenient. The master bedroom with the King bed and en-suite was a very large room, very cozy. The Queen room was right across from the bathroom and the loft is adorable with 3 twin beds. Every room has a TV and cable and tons of pillows. A lot of DVD's, games, books plenty to keep busy on a rainy day. The living space had plenty of furniture and a pull out sleeper. Everything was clean and smelled nice. The bathrooms are big and had tons of towels and even new bars of soap. The kitchen was very well stocked and brand new, with a full refrigerator, stove, pots, pans, utensils, coffee maker, glasses, dish soap, sponges.. Everything you need. There was even coffee and filters. The closet with the washer/dryer is in a convenient spot too. The beach is a 8 minute or so walk. Quaint little beach, clean and quiet. Perfect for morning walks. We didn't get to spend any time at the beach, unfortunately, because of baseball but did walk there in the early mornings. The town is tiny, not much going on. There is a Warf restaurant, ice cream place and a bar. We didn't have time to try any of them but the restaurant did look cute. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is definitely the place. It's pitch black after 9 p.m. and there are no signs of life. Coming from NY, it's quite the contrast to what we are used to. We did enjoy a beautiful sunrise on Sunday morning. The neighbors we did see were all super friendly, waving hello as the drove by. The baseball fields are very far from the house which made it difficult to go back and forth in between games. The kids also wanted to be where the action was at Rehobeth beach and that's even further. However, it was really nice to come back to a house instead of being cramped in a hotel room. We are a family of 5 and when we travel, it's always difficult to find the right accommodations. This was perfect. One suggestion would be to add extra blankets. The beds all had adorable bed spreads but they were very thin. We would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you!
