Perfect for solo trips or a couple's getaway, this updated one-bedroom offers the perfect balance of comfort and functionality. The tidy kitchenette comes well-equipped for at-home convenience featuring an inset cooktop, stainless steel min-fridge, microwave, minifridge, and wet bar with a toaster and coffee maker. After the day's adventures, unwind in the living room while streaming shows and movies on the wall-mounted smart TV.

In-home essentials include central AC, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer.

An outdoor shower and a minifridge are available for guest use.
This home includes an upper level rental which can be rented separately as Vida La Playa (Unit A) or you can book both rentals together as Vida La Playa Compound.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.

Security camera details: This home is equipped with exterior security cameras.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great LaJolla location

Nice apartment, perfect location near LaJolla Shores restaurants like Piatti. My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi was not always “there”. I’d stay again for sure

Almost the Best

This place in itself is just about perfect. Very cute, has everything you need for a weekend vacation. Comfy bed, lots of outlets, easy access, close to beach, we loved the outdoor shower for washing off sand! Honestly wish I could give 5 stars because it was so great except paper thin ceiling. If you are sensitive to noise, I don’t recommend staying here. The people upstairs weren’t “loud,” but every single footstep seemed like a stomp, especially the little kids running around. It was hard to sleep when I could hear every single thing they were doing late into the night. Not sure how that could be resolved, but it was bothersome. Otherwise, a great little place.

Pratical unit with good location near the ocean

The unit has everything you need. It was clean, and well equipped with lots of extra towels when we arrived. The bed was very comfortable. On the down side, the unit does not get much light. It can get noisy when there are people staying/when there is cleaning in the upstairs unit. The partitions are really thin. The host does not respond through the vrbo app at all. You have to email them directly. When we were able to contact them though, they were helpful and the issue was resolved quickly.

Perfect location!

Last time I visited San Diego in 2019, I planned to stay in La Jolla. And of the many I saved onto my board, my niece (who lives here) said to stay at this residence. Cozy enough for 2 people, but not more than that. Managed by a company Vacasa, so the communication wasn’t as immediate or warm. Kept getting the “due to high volume” automatic email responses. Obtaining the key out of the lock was a bit of a struggle, instructions were vague, called the toll free number and by the time we got a live person I was able to jiggle the key out of the lock. The main door was also a struggle but was able to figure it out. It advertised having a patio but no outdoor seating available to enjoy the outdoor. Although, the weather wasn’t so pleasant for outdoor lounging. All streaming apps were available for use on the TV. Shower head could use a deep clean, noticed lots of hard water stains and buildup. Water pressure was just right. I believe there was another family staying upstairs, able to hear footsteps and shower or washer being used. But overall, very clean, sheets have a bleach scent which gave me peace of mind knowing it was run through with a disinfectant. Had 2 mini fridges, parking available in front of driveway next to the cute lemon tree. Neighborhood was lovely, clean, safe. About a 20 min walking distance to the mini downtown area with plenty restaurants and shops and about a 10 min walk to beach! Would stay again knowing if shower head is spotless.

Not quite good

The property was cute but much smaller than we expected. There was no place to srore your luggage. There was no door on the bathroom for privacy. The shower door would not stay shut so it leaked onto the floor. We found the platform bed was not practicle and the mattress not comfortable. The unit was very dark, even though there were many lights. They were very dim. Lastly other VRBO's had welcoming information tips about the area,where to buy groceries, restaurants etc.there was no information. We did enjoy the ability to walk to breakfast and dinner and the beach.

It should be better than this

Negatives: There was construction going on, with heavy drilling right outside of the place. On top of garbage bins right outside of the door. There’s no door for bathroom, bedroom door knob just came off whenever we tried to shut the door. No airflow in the bedroom, at least one of us woke up in sweats every night. To top of all of that a giant hole in the ground that anyone could fall into. Positives: Walking distance to beach, cove and nice restaurants. Recommendation: one could find a lot more nicer place for a cheaper price.

Great clean location

The unit is in a very ideal area for getting around. It was nice and clean upon arrival. Access was well managed and communicated clearly.

Very clean and in a great location.

Very clean and just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and little shops. We really enjoyed the restaurants. It was very quiet and we felt very safe.
