Little Bee Woods

$75 cleaning fee!!!! $50 per dog pet fee, up to two dogs. 10% discount for a 3-6 day stay, 15% for a 6-29 day stay, 20% for a month or longer stay. The Cabin at Little Bee Woods was completed in December of 2022, and we are excited to welcome our guests to this modern and comfortable cottage and grounds. The cabin has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms that sleeps eight guests. The primary bedroom has a king-sized bed with a twin, and the secondary bedroom has a queen and a twin. The living room has a convertible, yet comfortable, sofa to accommodate additional guests. The great room has an open floor plan, a gourmet kitchen, a large dining table, and a living room with a flat-screen TV. The entryway to the cottage is a two hundred square foot timber frame screened-in porch with a table perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail while watching the sunset over Watch Knob. We are the ideal spot for a romantic getaway, family vacation, couples vacation, or micro-events. Black Mountain is fifteen minutes door-to-door, and Asheville is twenty-five minutes. Come on up and relax in the Swannanoa Valley.

Everything was carefully thought out by the wonderful owners of this property. Just bring your clothes and food. The kitchen and bathrooms are fully stocked with soaps, spices and detergent. The home has all of the modern amenities in a glorious peaceful setting. It’s really difficult to leave the wonderful screened in porch and the unimpeded views. Not a structure in sight! Our family really enjoyed the deck and smokeless fire pit. There’s a great hot tub that we ran out of time to use…hopefully next time. The location is great for accessing all of the desirable locales in the area while still being one of the most serene homes we have ever visited. Book it! You won’t be disappointed. Five stars for sure!

Quiet, Stunning Retreat

Absolutely incredible stay! This was the perfect peaceful escape — quiet, cozy, and surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. Every morning, we woke up to stunning sunrises and ended the day watching the sky change colors behind the peaks. The space itself was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed to feel right at home.If you’re looking to unplug, unwind, and reconnect with nature, this is the place. The only sounds you’ll hear are birdsong and the breeze through the trees. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Book The Stay!

We just got home from a four night stay and already can’t wait to go back! Sipping coffee on the screened in porch, looking at the stars while in the hot tub, and enjoying all the local spots was the perfect way to relax and reconnect. I also booked a massage with the massage therapist the owner suggested and she came to the house and set up the table on the porch. 10/10 experience all around!

Anniversary Weekend

A perfect paradise tucked away in the NC mountains. It was spacious, clean and most importantly well stocked with most of the everyday kitchen items. The owner checked up on us several times and made sure all our needs were met. We maintained our privacy throughout the stay. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again.

Peaceful secluded little spot in the mountains

We absolutely loved our stay here. Charles was wonderful and easy going to work with. The surroundings were exactly what we were hoping for, the cabin clean, cute, yet spacious. I don't think there is anything he forgot to supply the kitchen with. We spent several mornings and evenings out on the porch enjoying the view and nature watching. We highly recommend!

The pictures of the property do not do justice to how beautiful the house and property actually are. Everything about the house/property exceeded our expectations. We had such a good time that we did not want to have to leave. We definitely are hoping to be able to go back again next year.

Best Stay!

We rented Little Bee Woods as our vacation home during a trip to Asheville and were so happy with our stay! The home was beautiful, clean, and sat on the most beautiful piece of property. We had the opportunity to meet Charles during our stay and he was so friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have picked a better place to enjoy our time in North Carolina. Little Bee Woods gave us the tranquility we were searching for while still being close proximity to the city. We would 100% rent here again!

Wonderful Getaway!

Such a gorgeous cabin up on a hill---wonderful mountain views, fully stocked kitchen and a hot tub--what more can you ask for?! How about a host who goes the extra mile to communicate? Well Little Bee Woods has that too! Charles was amazing, our time up in the mountains was full of wonderful Christmas memories, sweet cookies and cheer. We are so thankful we chose to stay here, it was breathtakingly perfect! We will be back!

Lovely mountain retreat convenient to Asheville

This gem of a mountain retreat well deserves its 5-star rating! It is a beautiful, new structure with all the amenities you could ask for, with an ideal layout for 2 couples. By far the favorite part is the screened in porch overlooking the mountains — perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. We even saw a bear stroll by (we were safely ensconced on the porch). Only a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville, with easy access to all of the outdoor activities you might want to enjoy in the area. Do be aware that the house is perched atop a mountain accessed via a steep gravel road with a few hairpin turns — best to arrive during daylight the first time.

Beautiful property!

The house is absolutely amazing, super new and super clean. Was a wonderful getaway tucked into the mountains. My favorite part were the speakers in the porch and in the house that were easy to link to, so you could play music all the time. Made for a great atmosphere. Charles told us how to turn on the “light show” while we were out in the hot tub and it was amazing! So many little details he made sure to think about and it showed. We loved the screened in porch and so did the pup! I’d go back in again in a heartbeat, we felt pampered even out in the wilderness

Appalachian Oasis!

We cannot wait to rent this property again! This secluded mountaintop getaway really let's you soak in the quiet woods and peaceful views and is only a 20 minute drive from downtown Asheville or nearby Black Mountain. You get to the house by driving up a winding yet easy to navigate gravel road that takes you higher and higher around each turn as you get further from the main road. At the top of the driveway, you actually look over the roof to expansive and stunning ridgeline views that run along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The home was super clean upon arrival and was much more spacious than we anticipated. All of the comforts of home are included, and the kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pans and china. We brought our fur babies (2 German Shorthaired Pointers) and they loved being wild and free here during our stay.

Idyllic spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Bee Woods. The screen porch feels larger than the pictures. It was our favorite place. It's so peaceful listening to the Hooded Warblers, Blue Headed Vireos, Pileated Woodpeckers among others. We spent most every afternoon just enjoying the surroundings from the porch. Even when a little warm out, the fan made it comfortable. The other deck is nestled in the woods so that you can easily see wildlife from up in the tree canopy. Inside the house is spotlessly clean. The beds are especially comfortable and we slept well. The gas stove and oven are appreciated for whatever cooking is needed. A nice change from the typical electric stoves in vacation rentals. It was relatively easy to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway which is where we spent most of our days. The hosts were respectful and gave us our privacy, but made sure we had everything we needed. I really hated to leave and will definitely be back.

Amazing place to stay!!!

If you are debating on booking the Little Bee Woods, let me help you decide! Book it! This was the first outing my husband and I took with our two small dogs and it was amazing! This place is gorgeous. Plenty of beds and space to sleep. Everything is super clean and incredibly well stocked. The decor is beautiful, everything is new and the whole place feels calming. The screened in patio. Just wow. It’s the place I spent the most time. If there isn’t a natural breeze outside they have a fan to help that out. It’s quiet and lovely. The kitchen!!!! Second place I spent the most time! I don’t want to leave it! 😂. So well stocked with great pots and pans, sharp knives, super cool plates. They even have spices stocked for you! I noticed too, in the closet there is a Turkey pan and cute baskets…so if you’re up here over a holiday…no worries! Keurig, bodem drip coffee maker, hot water pot will let you have your choice of morning beverages! And get this…they have an ice machine!!! Not like in the freezer machine…a stand alone bullet ice maker! Also a fresh water filter for ice cold water! The Sonos sound system was easy to set up to and made it so fun to be able to listen to your music inside and out. The bathrooms were clean, beautiful and well stocked. It’s like the owners sat in their place and just thought…what can we add to make this place perfect???? And then added that! Even had ice cold mugs in the freezer!!!! Perfect place for a get away!

What an incredible stay! My husband and I absolutely loved this peaceful mountain getaway. We had such a wonderful 3 week stay. The house is beautiful, clean, bright and comfortable. It is stocked with all the essentials, including kitchen cooking essentials, which is so nice. The screen porch is a wonderful spot to sit and relax, day or night, all you hear are the crickets and birds. The outdoor patio is a great place to relax with the fire pit. And of course the hot tub is great to unwind after a day of hiking. We really enjoyed the town of Black Mountain nearby, many cute shops and restaurants.The property is clearly loved and well taken care of by its owners (which unfortunately can't be said for all vacation rentals!). Charles and Virginia were a pleasure to work with. I would 100% recommend Little Bee Woods to friends, family and anyone who wants a comfortable and relaxing vacation.
