Summary:
Stay with us at this lovely, recently renovated, 1,500 sqft, loft-like first floor apartment in the heart of Historic Springfield. Located one block from Main Street filled with restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream parlors, an arts supply store, and even an axe throwing venue!
The Space:
Guests have use of the full space, which includes a fully appointed high-end kitchen. There are two bedrooms: a master bedroom with a king and pull-out bed, and a guest bedroom with two “hotel style" full beds.
The living room is sunny and spacious with access to both the front porch and deck area.
In-unit laundry is also available - an outstanding amenity for longer term guests!
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full 1st story of the duplex.
Shared spaces include the backyard and 1st floor front porch.
The Neighborhood:
The Springfield neighborhood features beautiful 100-year-old homes, and oak tree-lined streets. Enjoy the architecture! Springfield has great walkability/ bike-ability. It is officially the most bike-able neighborhood in Jacksonville’s urban core, according to WalkScore.com. We have great parks (with full disc golf courses), eclectic nightlife, unique restaurants, abundant social events, and friendly neighbors!
Springfield is just north of Jacksonville’s downtown. This is an excellent location for exploring Downtown’s museums (the MOSH, the MOCA, The Ritz Theatre and Museum). We’re just five minutes from VyStar Arena, TIAA Bank Field Stadium, twenty minutes to the beach, and less than ten minutes to some of the other trendy neighborhoods that we love! We have a list of businesses and restaurants that we absolutely recommend and would be delighted to share with you!
Getting Around:
Public transportation is minimal in Jacksonville in general. You are a few blocks north of the downtown bus terminal if you would like to use that.
There is also the Skyway if you would like to take a short trip around the urban core area.
Uber and Lyft both operate in Jacksonville so these are excellent resources if you don't feel like driving/don't have access to a car.

We charge for additional guests above a fixed amount. This amount and additional charge varies by unit type, size, and configuration. If you input the correct guest count when you make your reservation the amount the booking site indicated as the total cost will not change (due to guest count). We ask for confirmation of guest count after you complete your booking. If you need to increase your guest count after booking confirmation due to a booking error, this could result in a price increase. Finally, we verify guest count via external cameras located on our properties. In the event that we notice a guest count at the property that is higher than reported, we reserve the right to ask for additional guest fees that would be double the amount we would have charged prior to check-in.
Kindly refer to the following guidelines regarding fees for extra guests:
Studio & 1 BR units - $25 per guest/night after 2 guests (i.e. 3 guests would be $25/night extra and 4 guests would be $50/night extra)
2 BR units - $30 per guest/night after 4 guests (i.e. 5 guests would be $30/night extra and 6 guests would be $60/night extra)
3 BR unit - $35 per guest/night after 6 guests (i.e. 7 guests would be $35/night extra and 8 guests would be $70/night extra)
4 BR units - $40 per guest/night after 8 guests (i.e. 9 guests would be $40/night extra and 10 guests would be $80/night extra)
5 BR+ units - $45 per guest/night after 10 guests (i.e. 11 guests would be $45/night extra and 12 guests would be $90/night extra)
This house is pet friendly so if you are highly allergic to dogs or cats this home may not be a good fit for you. Our cleaning service is great, but you may notice an occasional dog/cat hair here and there.
We charge a pet fee of $30/night/pet. This reduces to $150/week/pet and $300/month/pet for longer term guests. This fee is not included in the accommodation fare rate. We will send a request for the additional funds once the number of pets is confirmed after booking.
***If you neglect to inform us ahead of time that you are bringing a pet with you then we reserve the right to either TERMINATE your stay early or DOUBLE the pet fee retroactively for the entirety of your reservation.***
We have a minimum seven day stay requirement for local guests. We rarely make an exception to the policy but may elect to do so at our discretion. If you are local to Jax and book for less than seven days, we reserve the right to ask you to cancel your reservation.
All guests have access to the common areas of the property (front porch, laundry room, backyard).
If another set of guests, our cleaners, or a property notices that there is guest property or trash left out, this will be removed. If we can’t distinguish property from trash, there is a possibility it will be thrown out.
If this continues (I.e. you use shared space as personal space and/or throw what appears to be trash there), we reserve the right to ask you to check out early / move to another listing at your cost.
Gatherings/parties of any kind are strictly forbidden at this property. If you host a gathering/party/event at this property there will be a $1,000 fine.
Saturday check-ins and check-outs are (generally) not allowed unless you are booking a stay that is greater than seven days, except for some specific event weekends. (FL-GA and TPC Sawgrass weekends are a few examples.)
Late check outs/early arrivals are generally not available. In circumstances when they are these are the fees:
One hour or less early arrival or late departure:
$100
One to two hours early arrival/late departure:
$200
Two to three hours early arrival/late departure:
$300
Three or more hours early arrival/late departure:
$400 or the cost of an additional night’s stay, whichever is more
These fees are in place to discourage late checkouts/early arrivals, and to ensure the cleaning crew always has the time they need to provide the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
We have a smart thermostat in place on each floor of the house and do limit temperatures to the following ranges to reduce our environmental impact. It has an automatic schedule (which in the summer will adjust the temperature up and in the winter down during the day) but we are happy to modify this within the below range on request:
Summer - 70 to 85 degrees F
Winter - 60 to 75 degrees F
Smoking is forbidden anywhere on the property - the house, front porch, back deck, or front or back yard. If cigar/cigarette butts of any kind are found on the property or evidence of smoking (ash on porch, deck, empty cigarette packs, etc.) we assess a $500 cleaning fee in addition to the cleaning fee.
There is a propane grill on the back deck with grill utensils and grill cleaner in the kitchen. We do not supply propane but you are welcome to pick up a tank and leave what you don’t use for a future guest. After using the grill please clean it with the supplied grill cleaner/steel brush in order to avoid additional cleaning fees.
For guests requiring a pack n play, high chair, or any other non-standard item, please submit your request at least 7 days before check-in to ensure availability. If the request is made less than 7 days prior to check-in, we will make every effort to accommodate it, but cannot guarantee availability.
You are strictly forbidden from bringing firearms or items associated with them (including guns, bullets, gunpowder, shells, magazines, silencers, etc.) on this property whether or not they are licensed. If you violate this policy or we find evidence that you did (e.g. firearms or bullets are discovered by our cleaners following your stay) we will assess a $1000 fine.
