Wonderful stay!

My wife and I came for a short weekend, the house was beautiful! And a very short stroll to the beach. Perfect for a quiet vacation.

Beautiful House in a Great Location

Walking distance (~3 min) to beach, house is perfect for a couple and beautifully decorated. Beach gear (chairs, cabana, towels, etc.) were also provided. Will definitely plan to stay here on next trip to Oak Island.

Great location

The house was really cute and a perfect size for my husband, myself, our 3 month old, and grandma. It was in a perfect location with a quick walk to the beach. The extra beach gear in the shed was a really nice added touch!

The Black Pearl is luminous

Accurate description. Comfortable beds. Grill for local fish! Beach chairs, wagon and outdoor shower. Great beach. We'll be back.

Cozy, clean and so comfortable

I can’t say enough about this sweet home. My daughter and I stayed there for our annual mom daughter beach weekend and it was perfect for us. Beautiful and comfortable decor, very well equipped for cooking. Bikes, beach chairs, wagon…everything we needed. Loved having coffee each morning on the porch, the beach was a very short walk. We walked or biked to Island Joes for breakfast, and Southport is a short drive for great dinner options and shopping. The hosts are very accommodating and responsive.

Great Experience at the Black Pearl!

We had a great stay at this property. The house is exceptional, the description and photos are totally accurate. I was impressed with the cleanliness, the comfort, and the feeling of coziness without being cramped. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality cookware. The neighborhood is super quiet. There were 2 bikes already there that we used, and I rented a third from Mr Beach Rental (highly recommend them!) They delivered the extra bike and picked it up the morning we left. We rode bikes around the neighborhood every day, sometimes twice a day. The beach is just down the street and we walked there. Grocery stores and great restaurants are very close. Our restaurant picks were The Lazy Turtle, Tranquil Harbor, Swains, and Shagger Jack’s (in that order). The host quickly responded to communication, was very helpful when I asked for food/activity recommendations, and was just very pleasant to deal with. Oak Island is beautiful and clean, with many things to see and do. Take the ferry to Southport and Bald Head Island. Visit Oak Island Lighthouse. Walk out on the pier. The sunsets on the beach are amazing! The Black Pearl is a lot of bang for the buck, and we would rent again.

Awesome Beach Rental!

Excellent location, screened in porch was a awesome bonus. Fit our needs well for a relaxing beach get away. Would definitely book again!

Relaxing and comfortable

Adorable house . My husband and I stayed for my birthday weekend. It couldn't have been more perfect. The house is decorated so beautifully . The kitchen is so well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The front porch is so relaxing and comfortable. And just a short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Beach Getaway

We loved this house! Location is perfect and the house had everything you would need for a beach trip. The house was so close to the beach, it took nothing to walk there morning, noon, and night. Several amazing restaurants within a couple mile radius as well. The kitchen and bathroom were beautifully redone giving you the feeling that you’re in a big expensive beach house. The September weather was so perfect, we enjoyed all our meals and evenings on the screened in porch. Next time we go back to Oak Island, we know where to stay!

Great Stay at the Bkack Pearl

We reserved the Black Pearl for a long weekend and could have been happier with the rental. It was clean and contained all items needed during our stay. We were close to the beach which we took full advantage of. We will stay here adain.
