Historic Home in the Heart of the City

Built in 1916, my Over/Under duplex in the heart of the city is also on the National Historic Register. You'll enjoy the convenient location between Downtown, Plaza and Westport. You'll enjoy the soft beds, quality linens, ironed pillow cases and tons of natural light. There's plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the treetop views from your sun room or the large, private deck. There's always fresh ground coffee, tea and 1/2&1/2 as well as a fully equipped kitchen. You’ll feel rested and relaxed in this light filled, airy space but still be close enough to enjoy all the attractions of the City.

The location is great as it only took 15-20 minutes at most to get anywhere. The 2nd floor apartment is spacious and has everything you need. The house is old and floors are very squeaky, so heads up there. The kitchen has everything and host has coffee and creamer there for you.

It was an excellent place to stay. The door code was changed to our phone #s which was super convenient. First time that had happened. Communication was great. Parking at GEHA Stadium was abysmal and honestly shocked a pro stadium was that unorganized and unprofessional

Show at the Uptown

This property was perfect for me and my buddy. We were going to see a show at the Uptown on a Monday night and were able to walk to and from the venue easily. Place was interesting and immaculate. Highly recommend

Great stay and a great owner

This property was perfectly located for all of our trip. We were 10 minutes from everything. It was decorated very nicely and the beds were comfortable. The owner was great with communication and he was even nice enough to drop us off at the Chiefs game. We highly recommend this place.

Nice location and wonderful place

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is situated a few miles north of Plaza/Westport. Highly recommend staying here in a comfortable, clean, and spacious rental.

Great place!

Courtney was great and made sure we were taken care of. The flat was perfect for our weekend stay. Location was central and easy to get to from all parts of town.

We loved our stay! Super clean, Courtney is a friendly and helpful host, deliciously comfortable linens and beds- we slept like babies. Quiet neighborhood and great location to Plaza, Mid-town and the sports stadiums. We would definitely stay here again and recommend!

Great Location Beautiful Property

Jon has a beautiful 2 nd story VRBO in the historical Hyde Park neighborhood. The beds are very comfortable, nice porch,and spacious bedrooms and common area. Absolutely loved walking to Starbucks each day, looking at the historical homes and walking to such sites as the Thomas Benton House. I would highly recommend this property.

Courtney is VRBO’s most gracious host. His place is clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. Our family of 4 had a great weekend in KC and enjoyed getting to some great restaurants easily from this location!

Great spot, close to everything!

We enjoyed our stay in this historic home. Very clean and comfortable for the four of us. More spacious than I expected. Street parking only, but never had a problem parking close to the house. We were never more than ten minutes away from all the things we wanted to do.

Very nice!

Our stay was lovey. The accommodations were tastefully decorated and equipped with all one needed. I appreciated the eggs, half and half, coffee, tea and complementary wine. Very light and airy space. Great location.

Great Hideout in Hyde Park Area

We had a delightful stay here for a Summer week during a visit to the Kansas City area. The host was terrific in communicating, in offering tips and suggestions, and in stocking the property with all the necessary things. Close to museums, the streetcar line, nightlife, and SOOO many BBQ options, the property was a perfect place for adventures each day. We certainly enjoyed our first visit to Kansas City, and look forward to a return some day; we still have some BBQ joints to visit!

Great for Business Travelers Too!

I usually stay in hotels in the area when I am there for work, but I decided to try this property. It made my stay feel more like home! It is in a great area, is comfortable, and has lots of great food options in the area (both for delivery and to go out to eat). Jon and Courtney are very helpful and accommodating.

Cozy Weekend Getaway

Very nice remodel! Pictures accurately present this home! Very roomy, comfy and cozy. It was a very cold weekend in March. The back part of the home where the bath and bedrooms are was a little chilly but we couldn’t have ask for a better or more attentive host; very quick to communicate and take care of anything we needed! The kitchen is very well supplied and roomy. Even supplied ground coffee and cream & sugar! Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you Courtney!

Comfortable Central Location in Fun Filled KC

This upper flat centrally located just off Main Street was perfect for our three night stay. It is tastefully and comfortably furnished, including a big firm comfortable bed in the large and airy primary bedroom. The house is on the national historic register, so has a lot of neat crown molding and original hardwood floors. With the charm and central location comes a few floor squeaks and some occasional big city traffic noises. That being said, all of the plumbing and fixtures are up to date and the kitchen had everything we needed. Courtney was a great host who was right there when we had questions or were looking for restaurant or sightseeing recommendations. The beautiful freshly cut roses were an especially thoughtful and classy touch. We had two strong storms blow through and both times Courtney checked in to make sure we were okay. We would not hesitate to stay at Hanover Place again. About KC: We were in town was to see our Brewers play the Royals at beautiful Kauffman Stadium, but we were impressed with the other attractions like the impressive National WWI Museum and Baseball Negro Leagues Musem. And believe Courtney when he tells you not to miss a beautifully restored Union Station. Also, do not miss the Cafe Trio just down main Street. The atmosphere, food and service made for a wonderful experience. We were exhausted but happy when it was time to leave town!
