All the comforts of home await when you choose this charming, three-bedroom getaway on the east end of Hatteras Island. Enjoy the salty breeze and sea air from one of three decks, and then head for the beach, just at the end of the street. Inside, you’ll find two levels of comfortable living space. The main floor features coastal decor and an open floor plan, combining the full, well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room. The chef will love the full suite of appliances and ample counter space, including a standalone kitchen island, and the high-top table provides plenty of mealtime seating. After a day at the beach or community pool, use the outdoor shower to rinse off the sand, then watch a little TV together or retire to the bedrooms, each of which also has a TV. End the night on the top-floor deck, toasting your good luck at booking such a sweet beach escape.

Great vacation home!

This was our 2nd time staying here, and we love it! Lots of room for parking, very spacious and clean inside with an open concept kitchen and living area, and close to the beach. It was nice to store chairs, umbrellas, etc in the sunroom and have outdoor deck space on all levels as well. Some things you might want to bring along: oven mitts, bag clips, scissors, coffee filters, foil, ziplock bags or tupperware containers for storage, spices. Some places I've stayed have provided these things but we had to run to the nearby Dollar General to purchase these items. Overall it was a great stay and we plan to come back next year.

Easter getaway

We loved this house and the location was perfect. The house was very welcoming. Even better than expected from the pictures. The first thing my 12 year old daughter said was that it smelled good! We hope to stay again soon!

Great location, clean home, solid management

The house was clean and simple. It covered all of our needs. Small issue with a broken shower that was resolved but it required all of those staying to share a single shower for a day.

The house was great! What we didnt know was that the high tide would flow into the drive way and we would have to drive into 6 of 8 inches of water to get out.

another lovely experience at the Holiday House!

We stayed again this year at the Holiday House and absolutely loved it. The house’s close proximity to the beach in Buxton, comfortable accommodations, and great set-up with several porches/fantastic outdoor shower make this a lovely home to stay in while vacationing at Cape Hatteras. It has remained very clean and very well-taken care of. Our family loves the National Seashore, which is within walking/biking distance of the house. We also met the owners this year, who are absolutely lovely. This house can easily accommodate a few more folks, but it is absolutely perfect for our family of three. We will be back!

Great Place To Stay

This was a cute house with lots of space right next to everything you need! We walked to the beach, dinner, grocery store and souvenir shops. We were a little surprised there were only 2 umbrellas and no other beach equipment, but luckily we brought our own chairs. The only other complaint was just the lack of towels. There were 6 of us and only a few towels there so that was kind of annoying at times especially when everyone came back from the beach ready for showers! Other than that, we’d definitely come back and stay here again, the area was great!

Nice house

I picked this house because of closeness to beach. About 3 weeks before leaving I find out there are huge sandbags at the end of the street. Didn't want to climb over them , so we drove to other beach accesses. There is not many pots and pans, and everything sticks in the pans. We didn't cook at house much due to lack of pans. The bed pillows are very flat, might want to take your own.

Bed bugs and no AC

I called 5 times and each time was told I would receive a call back and never did. Plus, I was charged a pet fee for an emotional support animal, which I heard is illegal.

Great location

Great property. Wonderful attention to detail. The kitchen was well stocked. Remember to bring your streaming passwords with you. A little weird that the guests were asked to vacuum before they checked out. Bed linen and towels were supplied which isn't the case in many east coast VRBO properties. Beach towels would have been great.

Great Stay!

We’ve stayed from Corolla to Hatteras many times and this house was one of the best! It’s very clean, up to date and has a home like feel. We enjoyed the local restaurants- tavern on 12 and Angelo’s in Buxton and Oceanas in Avon. Even though this area is away from the hustle and bustle around Nags Head, there is still a lot to do! Definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful Vacation Home

I've been vacationing in the Outer Banks for 36+ years and have stayed in houses of all sizes and proximities to the beach. Holiday House ranked right up there with the best of them. It was exceptionally clean, felt very homey and we had the pleasure of meeting the owners towards the end of our week. They are wonderful and truly care about their home and the families who rent from them. It's an easy walk down the small street to the beach. If you are familiar with Buxton beaches, be prepared for the wide expanse of sand that is there now. What a difference! I highly recommend this home.

Wonderful house and location!

Holiday house was perfect for our beach vacation! Close to the beach, restaurants and stores. Also close to other towns to explore. The house had everything you could need! Very well stocked and very clean! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!
