Amazing ocean views in an oceanfront condo at Kaleialoha. Nicely furnished and updated with a/c in living room and bedroom unlike other units in this complex, fully appointed kitchen and bathroom. Washer/dryer inside the unit for your convenience. Very quiet and private resort close to restaurants, coffee shops, and food trucks. Located in Honokawai which is the city adjacent to Kaanapali, Kapalua and Napili where all the most beautiful beaches and snorkeling sites. Adjacent swimmable beach during low tides. Turtles around and whales during season. Parking free and no resort fees. Heated swimming pool recently renovated summer of 2024.
No sandbags in front our beach which are eyesore! Would only allow 2 adults.

We loved our stay at Kaleialoha! Ray was very responsive and accommodating. The unit had everything we needed, including beach and snorkeling gear, which we enjoyed using at local spots.We ran into a small issue with one of the AC unites not working but Ray was on top of it and got it replaced within 48 hours - and over a weekend, too!Mahalo, Ray!

Heaven at the Kaleialoha

My husband and I have stayed at the Kaleialoha three times and this was our favorite unit thus far. Clean, elegant, and peaceful. The only thing was the wifi was kind of hit or miss but when your in Maui I doesn’t matter. We never even used the TV and just enjoyed the views of turtles everyday and light rain showers. We will definitely be back in the future!

Oceanside Location

This unit had a spectacular ocean view. We loved spending time watching whales and sea turtles. Great location, close to beaches, restaurants and shopping. Unit was very clean with nicely appointed kitchen.

Perfect for us

Kaleialoha #214 was the perfect place for us! Great price and location was ideal. Whale watching every day was fabulous as well as the turtles. Michael takes immaculate care of the property. There was no hot tub as described and the condo could have been a little better stocked with things that would be helpful but overall it was great!

Excellent for whale watching

This is on the north end of the second floor (in a 4 floor building) with an elevator that broke once during our stay but was fixed within a couple of days. There is easy access to the grass facing the ocean and steps down to the water from the south side of the building, its locked at night. The gate on the north side is kept locked most of the time, with a bike and moped rack just behind it. Michael, the local building manager, is a nice hard working guy and easily available most of the time. The condo itself is good for the price with a decent sized lanai and a great view of whales and turtles. Snorkeling gets better (coral and fish) the farther out you go, with a few turtles typically close to shore. The "beach" disappears at high tide or with large waves, as is true for most of West Maui these days, although we noticed some improvement at airport and post office beaches nearby. The AC worked fine for January. The only thing we didn't like was the combination of AC unit and the type of window shade in the bedroom lets a lot of light leak in from the building's hallway lights at night. If you need it dark, bring eyeshades or figure something out to block the window. There is some beach equipment, two very small folding chairs and a small umbrella. Wifi worked fine. The kitchen had most of what we needed. Parking was tight for a van, but always available. We have stayed at a number of spots on West Maui over the years, and this one ranks pretty high on the list.

This place was beautiful. Amazing location, beautiful views, and a clean spot with a great kitchen. Tv/cable was really wonky and no WiFi was a bummer but that’s not really what you go to Hawaii for right??

Nice vacation getaway !!

Really loved this condo and location couldn’t get better . condo unit had all the amenities to make our stay comfortable. The bathroom tub did have some issues and the bottom floor was peeling and flaking everywhere. Unfortunately i couldn’t soak in the tub and get that nightly relaxation that my body really needed. overall the condo was clean and i would stay again :)

Great condo unit! It's perfectly situated - close enough to kaanapali and nipili without having to be in the heart of it. The unit was clean and the kitchen was very well stocked.The view was amazing from the balcony - the whales were constantly spouting! Would definitely recommend this place.

10th Maui trip

For our 1st return to Maui after a 4 year break and our 10th trip to Maui we are so happy that we chose Ray’s condo. With ocean front views to whale watch and being able to fall asleep to the waves crashing on the shore, how could it not be great! The complex is very well maintained and we saw the resident manager everyday keeping up with daily housekeeping tasks. The condo is situated close to the best fish market, DT Fleming beach and other amenities. You can go out to eat or dine at home just as easily with the provided kitchen gear/complex bbq. The pool is refreshing. We were used to staying at another complex up the road and decided to try a new one, it was a great choice! Ray was prompt with a response to our questions!

Fine but not great

We booked a last minute trip to Maui and didn't have the luxury of many lodging choices. We were excited when we found a condo at the Kaleialoha condo complex. This was our 4th time staying at this complex but our first time staying in this specific unit. We did run into a bit of a hiccup when checking in. I contacted the manager ahead of time requesting early check in at 1pm. The manager confirmed this was ok and that he would schedule cleaning earlier. When we arrived around 2pm we had still not received check in instructions. We ended up having to call to get the check-in info. Upon arrival, the cleaning staff was still there so we dropped our stuff off and sat outside until they were done. Not a huge deal but a bit of a bummer after a long day of travel. The unit was well stocked with kitchen and beach essentials but overall the unit lacked cleanliness that I hoped to see. There was food still in the refrigerator, the walls were dirty and the bathtub was pretty grimy as well. All the other units we've stayed in have provided a welcome basket with some snacks, local coffee and a guide to the area but there wasn't anything like that here. Not essential, but it would have been nice to have. I can't say enough good things about this condo complex, however. It has 4 floors, limited rooms, beach access and direct ocean views in most rooms. We will definitely be back to this condo complex but probably won't stay in this unit again.

Stay at Honokowai Condo.

Ray was a fine host for this ocean front condo. He was responsive to all matters immediately such as when I locked myself out. The view of whales and interaction with the Turtles outside your condo was amazing. The grassy area outdoors with lounge chairs is super easy to get to and great for photo taking and relaxing. The appliances worked well and Ray has it set up with fans in thoughtful locations. Overall a great stay.
