All the way from West Texas

We had a fabulous stay!!! Beautiful place with plenty of room for the entire family. There were tons of games and everybody played pool and shuffleboard and hung out on the fabulous screened in porch and watched the Smokey mountain rain. The kids swam at the heated pool on Baden. We saw so much awesome wildlife. Chipmunks, hawks, woodpeckers, and even bears!! When they say lock your car doors they mean it, lol!!! The owners were fabulous and were so easy to communicate with. It was a very peaceful and quiet area too. We would definitely stay here again!!!

Beautiful home

We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful home. It is perfect for multiple families. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable. Loved the patios of the bedrooms. Enjoyed going out on them every morning looking at the beautiful Mountain Views. Everyone really enjoyed the game room. We also got to enjoy the hot tub. I took a box of kitchen supplies. I didn’t have to use any of it- there was everything there we needed. Would recommend this home.

Bears, Bears, Bears!

The chalet is awesome. We had a family group of 10 and there was plenty of room, the game room, living room and screened porch giving lots of options for hanging out. But the stars of the show were the bears! Lots of bears! Very close to Ober Gatlinburg and an easy drive into town. Would love to stay there again.

Very impressed!

We were very impressed with what we got at such a great price! The only issue I had with the place is there is no privacy around the hot tub and going up the stairs to the room with the twin beds there is a nail sticking out. Over all we really enjoyed the space! Will definitely book here again!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great time at this property! It was set up very well for our party, which included several children, and was equipped with everything we needed for a long weekend. There were a couple of issues that came up, but these were promptly addressed via communication with property owners. We got to see >10 bears from the house, which was wonderful!

Everyone in my family said they had a great time and the Bears made it even more exciting. There was plenty of room for all 12 of us. This was our first family vacation since the children have all grown up and had children of their own. They are talking about coming to Gatlinburg again next year and making this a yearly family outing.

We couldn’t have ask for a better place. It was beautiful. Our children had the best time, for once I didn’t hear I’m bored. Haha. The host was fantastic even check to make sure we didn’t need anything. We will be back.

Quiet, Clean Property in the Mountains

The house is very clean with little extras like bath bombs in each bathroom and tons of games (my youngest son loved the mini pool table and the older kids loved the full sized pool table). The screened in porch is large and easily made it so all 7 of us could relax together. The host of the home (Joy) went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Family Getaway

Our first big family trip with all the kids and grandkids was a success! The rooms were spacious, with something for everyone! The views from ALL of the balconies was spectacular. But the morning swing with my granddaughter was my favorite spot! Watching mama bear with her 3 cubs, everyday!, was the highlight for everyone! The kids found the chipmunks to be their favorite thing to watch. We enjoyed every minute! Thank you again for such a memorable stay! We all hope to be back again soon!

Large Family

This was great for a family of 10. Big dining room table to have great meals. Nice bathrooms and bedrooms. Screened in porches and a view. We saw black bears most days. One tried to take our Jeep for a ride... All paved roads and driveway. I wouldn't do motorcycles but cars and trucks are fine.

Retreat away from the chaos

Let’s be honest, Gatlinburg can be a sensory overload at times. That’s why this house was a fantastic location for our weekend family excursion. Tucked away just an arm’s length from downtown, you feel secluded yet conveniently within reach. The spacious living areas, game room, and hot tub were family favorites. A neighborhood bear greeted us within 30 minutes of arriving! Quite the shocking greeting but felt fitting for the area! One drawback for our large group was the quaint and modest kitchen. Our meal prep occurred in shifts to accommodate the space. Yet the cozy feel was inviting and cleanliness was top notch! Would definitely consider this chalet again for its convenience and ability to entertain our large family!

Perfect place for our family! We will be back!

The check in process was smooth and the communication with the host was great. The description is accurate. The views are breathtaking and the amenities were above and beyond. The driveway is easy to access (not steep) unlike many of the other local homes. We thoroughly enjoyed the wildlife, including a friendly squirrel and many bear sightings. This cabin was perfect for our sibling family group. We had the best time playing pool, the piano, chess, shuffleboard, swinging on the porch and getting in the hot tub. There were many games in the kids room, several beds and they had their own bathroom which worked out perfectly for the cousins. We also enjoyed the multiple decks around the home. We used the pool pass one day and though we only went to one, there are 3 available choices for pools! They have thought of everything a family would want and need. If we go back to Gatlinburg, we will stay here again for sure! Thank you Joy for providing such a wonderful space for your guests!

We DID See Bears!! Great Stay in TN

Bear Corner Chalet is a delightful cottage tucked away near the top of the mountains in Gatlinburg, TN and just a few miles from Pigeon Forge, TN! Plenty of beds, tv’s and fun activities to do while staying here! We had pool tournaments, indoor corn hole, checkers and shuffleboard ….and we used them all! A sweet hot tub located on the side deck displayed the splendor and beauty of God’s majestic mountains! This gem had a fully stocked kitchen with anything we needed right at our fingertips including ample seating areas for leisure and mealtime (something for everyone in our group). FYI the pizza spot coming back up the hill after a 10-hour day @ Dollywood was ‘um yum’. We will be back for another visit for sure! Thanks to the hosts for being attentive and available!!

We enjoyed the 3 separate BR areas especially each having a deck. The mattresses were a bit firm but overall acceptable. The Rec room, dining area and family rooms & screened porch were SUPERB! E en the Bear visits were exciting.

Feedback on Bear Corner Chalet

This was an amazing place to stay. We had the blessings of having our entire family from Granny (age 89) to her Great Grandchildren (age 1 and 5)!. The view was breathtaking. The kids loved seeing the bears! Hot tub and night - is a MUST. Breakfast on the screened in porch - CHECK! Pool table and other games helped to created memories that the children will also have with their Granny. There is even a piano! We gathered around to play music and do sing-a longs! PRICELESS. The owners were great to work with - very attentive in making sure your stay was going well! So much to do and so little time! We will be back! 5 STARS!

We loved the cabin, will absolutely visit again!

Joy is such a pleasure to work with, and the cabin offers plenty of space for everyone. Bears visited every day, which was a huge hit with the kids. The cabin is just over a mile from downtown Gatlinburg, right next to Ober Mountain, and there is a community pool with a weight room and a game room that is available throughout the stay. Love! Love! Love!

Great for families

Great space for our family with adult children and grandchildren. Plenty of space to spread out. Private decks with great views. The starter kitchen/bath items are more than enough for a weekend. Plenty of baby items (toys, high chair, travel crib, etc). Great communication from Joy. We would definitely book again, hopefully for a longer stay.Heed the advice to lock your car! We had some nose prints and I watched a bear try to open a neighbor’s car door.

Excellent Stay!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Bear Corner Chalet! We saw so many bears! The home was clean! Just enough room for 6 adults and 3 children! Stocked with everything you need! When we weren’t out and about enjoying Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge we would hang out on the screened-in porch! Bears and cubs would visit us several times a day! Very close to Ober Mountain tram! Very close to the S. Baden pools! Excellent community with Joy! We will definitely be back!
