Within 15 minutes of walking distance to shoppes & restaurants. convenient parking in front of the unit Located close to downtown venues. Perfect for long term stays! Keep it simple at this peaceful centrally-located gem.

Decent Property

Property is decent. Duplex residential location (there are permanent residents) Not the best neighborhood. It's an older complex with older cabinetry and floors. Bathroom is upgraded. Clean property. Keyless entry. Did not even stay the one night that was booked due to one issue...... The only issue (and a big one in my opinion)....sat down on the couch and a roach sashayed across the floor to welcome me. That's a BIG No No!! Needless to say I picked up my bag, walked out, locked the door behind me, messaged the property manager (to let them know I was not staying) and checked into a hotel 30 minutes away. I was disheartened that I never (and still have not, 2 months later) got a response from the property manager.

Unfortunate

We, unfortunately, arrived after midnight for check-in. Check-in was easy, we didn’t have trouble getting in the rental. However, we were met with a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke and noticed the window in the living space was opened (with a stick) to air it out. In addition, there was thick dust on the AC unit that we had to wipe off for it to work properly. I contacted the property owner immediately and let them know we would not be able to stay past morning and would’ve left upon arrival had it not been so late. In the daylight we noticed many more issues. Half burned incense sticks stuck into holes in the wall, on top of the heat/AC units/light fixtures. Very thick dust on the fans, AC unit (as mentioned) and throughout the rental on different surfaces. Rat poop. A trail of ants in the bedroom and other bugs. Grime on the appliances in the kitchen. If management & VRBO make efforts to remedy these issues, it would be a nice 1-to-2-night stay. The area was not great; however, very convenient. We left in the morning once we secured a reservation at a hotel. Neither management or VRBO were prudent in addressing the situation or issuing a refund. Unfortunately, I did have to dispute the charge through my CC company. An uncomfortable & unfortunate experience. Sore throats, finding laundry facilities to wash clothes, lack of cleanliness, dealing with having to find a hotel, and having to dispute the charge. This rental poses a health hazard.

Convenient to downtown

Host was very nice & location convenient to downtown Greensboro, can walk to baseball field and bars. However, sheets were dirty and stained. Sink was also dirty. I don’t think the cleaners were in prior to us arriving. We had to stay at a hotel and were lucky to find availability as there was a city wide event the weekend we were there. We have stayed at many Vrbo’s and never had an issue. Our complaint was resolved quickly and refund received.
