Come stay downtown San Antonio in this 3 bedroom / 2 bath home that sleeps 11!

Newly renovated, well stocked and cozy. Our home offers outdoor seating for large families, a fire pit, outdoor speakers, patio lights and parking for 6 cars. Our gated property also has a brand new privacy fence and a large yard.

Enjoy Roku TV's in the living room and all 3 bedrooms. The master bath has a double shower so that two can shower at once. The second bath has a tub/shower combination. Towels and linens are provided and the house is well-stocked.

Neighborhood description
Downtown San Antonio - East Side We are located right off of Cesar Chavez, a mile away from the Riverwalk, .5 miles from the tower and .3 miles away from the Alamodome. You're also very close to the Alamo and all of the other downtown attractions. Enjoy all of the food and fun that San Antonio has to offer. This neighborhood is the east part of downtown San Antonio. It’s an urban vibe, not a suburb. We love the history, culture and convenience of the area and hope you enjoy all it has to offer!

Getting Around
If you have a car, you can park it in the gated driveway. This is also a convenient neighborhood for Uber

Adorable house

We all enjoyed our stay at the Cactus house. When we first drove into the neighborhood we were a little bit concerned due to the condition of some of the surrounding houses, however, this house is gated and we felt secure. While we were there the house and the surrounding area experienced a water outage. When we contacted the owners they were very quick at getting back to us and letting us know the situation. It did result in some of the faucets having low water pressure.

Super close to everything!

First of all, Steph (the host), was super accommodating after a last minute reservation change. Superb on communication! The house is cute and provides all the essentials. The house is located in an area of town that is currently being flipped. Although the location is convenient to all the cool attractions and the house provides comfort the neighborhood surroundings are a little sketch. The property is gated and secure. My brother and family walked to the Alamo during the day, but took Ubers in evenings. Short cheap rides to DT SA, the Missions and The Pearl. Would stay here again!

This property is in a terrible neighborhood. Two women traveling with children. We were approached by two different homeless men asking for money at the fence of the property. We felt very unsafe. The host was not helpful at all and argued that it was a safe neighborhood. I requested a refund and was denied. I have pictures and videos to prove my point but can’t seem to load them here.

Our stay was great. The location was perfect for the Alamodome. Confusion on check in and check out times - times incorrect on website. The host was available for immediate contact as questions arose. Made more family memories. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great house. Very short drive to everything! The host was very quick with messaging back. We were a group of 7 and was comfortable. The only down side was location and dogs barking all night. But we would book again. We loved our stay. We were very pleased

Lovely Home

The property was perfect for me and my group of concert goers! Less than a mile from Alamodome, short Uber to the concert and a quick walk back to avoid traffic! Gates made us feel super safe and secure. Neighborhood has some run down houses, but that didn’t effect our stay at all! Very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely stay again if we come back the the area!

Really nice house

Beautiful house. Neighborhood was ok but when you are in the house you forget about everything else. Very nice decorations and everyone fit perfect. Host was super nice and on top of everything. New ac so house was super cold. And in this humidity it was perfect. Thank you for the hospitality!

Good location home just a little short of being great

Nice house with newer finishes. Location is great in regards to proximity to the Alamodome and Riverwalk. Neighborhood is older but transitioning. Many homes have been updated. But some are still abandoned or run down. There was some late night music and partying out on the street Saturday night. Water pressure was pretty low in both bathrooms. Nice Roku TVs even in the bedrooms making TV watching super easy.

Close to everything

We came in for the San Antonio Stock Show. The location is great. Convenient to AT&T and to the river walk (short car rides). The neighborhood is up and coming with a lot of renovated houses amongst some that need attention. We felt completely safe with the gated entrance. The property was clean and well equipped (towels, toiletries etc.). The property matches the pictures and easily handled the three families there for the stock show. The owners were great. They were very responsive to messages.

Thanks for visiting our home! My name is Steph. I'm a mom of 5, wife and yoga teacher. My husband Mitch remodels homes and I enjoy communicating with our guests and making sure that our home is well stocked, clean and comfortable.

The Cactus House is a special property for us. Our family is from Texas, and this is our second home. We spend lots of time at the Cactus House ourselves. My brother and his wife live in the neighborhood and they recently had their first baby. My parents come and stay in this house often to visit them. When our family isn't using the house, we make it available for short term rentals. We've tried our best to make it really comfortable and hope that you will feel at home while you're here.

The Cactus House has a double lot so the yard is huge. There's lots of room for kids to run around and play or for family sports. Mitch loves to grill and we have a brand new grill that you can use. Because our family is so large, we have a really big outdoor table with chairs that seat a large group. Our outdoor speakers and patio lights set a vibe outside for your family time and the fire pit is really nice in the evenings. The inside is recently remodeled and the master bath has a double shower so two can shower at once.
