A Gem!!!

Host was great to communicate with. The space is clean, spacious, and well kept. Loved the screened in porch with direct view of the pool area. We stayed as a family of 5. It is about a 10 minute walk to the beach. We would definitely rent from this host again! Great stay!

Marco Vacation

We had a wonderful week in Marco … perfect weather! The 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo offered plenty of room for our group of 4 and was conveniently located. The beach was within walking distance and we also relaxed at the pool and tiki hut. The owner, Steve, was very responsive through the entire rental process. We hope to make it back to Marco Island next year!

Another great stay!

Another great 4th of July on Marco Island thanks to Steve. His condo is in the perfect location for the beach and other activities to do as a family. The condo is well taken care of and suitable for a family of 6 or less. The condo property is well kept and great for relaxing in the afternoon sun! We love staying at Steve's place and will be back again!

Great Location!

We had a fantastic time in our trip to Marco Island. There was a bit of frustration at the beginning of our trip but once that was all resolved we had a great time. The location was great, the cost of the condo was great, the owner was very friendly and responsive.

Beautiful Marco Island

We had a great month at Marco. We loved walking on the beach, birding at the many nature preserves, and eating delicious seafood at the numerous restaurants. The condo is about .25 miles from the beach. Rental includes a cart, umbrella, beach towels, and other beach toys that make for a fun vacation..

Owners easy to communicate with. Location close to public beach access. Easy walking distance. Pool area nice. Condo a little outdated. Upgrades planned but not completed during our stay. Still nice. Had a great time.

Fun in the Sun

Condo was spacious and worked out perfectly for two couples. Pool was such fun and enjoyable part of our stay. Kitchen was very nice and had everything we needed. Great location, close to the beach and stores. The sunsets were beautiful at the beach. The owner Steve was very responsive with all inquiries we had during our stay.We really enjoyed our stay. Nice condo in a great location

The condo was exactly as described on the VRBO website. The process of booking the condo was easy and the Property Manager responded promptly to emails. It was clean and comfortable and in a great location - easy access to stores and restaurants. There was a swimming pool on the premises, which we enjoyed during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this condo to others.

Solid Condo for location and price

So I saw some of the reviews for this condo that were a bit derogatory in nature, and I was a bit nervous prior to check-in. Upon arrival I noticed right away that those reviews were pretty one-sided and unfair to the owner. Steve was responsive everytime I contacted him and very helpful with information concerning the property. The condo itself was very suitable for our family of six, and was in fine condition. The pool on the property was convenient, although we only used it once and it was very nice. The location in reference to the island was perfect and only a short five minute walk to the south beach entrance. The condo had all the items you need for meals and worked well for us. It was well stocked with starter items and an abundance of towels as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to any family of six or less. If we return to Marco Island again we will definitely look to see if Steve's condo is available! Thank you for a wonderful experience on the island.

Avoid. Just stay away.

Serious problem. I paid for the actual stay, more than half that for the cleaning fee, and more than all of that for the security deposit. All paid by check. On returning from my trip, I hit two big problems with the owner and finances. My employer told me that to get reimbursed, I needed a tax id because the money paid to the owner is earned income. A person who owns a property and rents it out knows that and should have a business tax id. The owner refused to give me one telling me he was never asked for one and he was not obligated to do that. I never got reimbursed from my employer because without that id, their books wouldn't be balanced and the IRS would nail them on an audit. Second, I didn't get my security deposit back until over a month after I returned. He claims he sent a check 10 days after I left and it didn't arrive after three weeks. He claims it was lost in the mail. He "cancelled payment" and sent me a "new" one. Coupled with the tax id, I am highly suspicious. Inconvenience problem. When we arrived , there was half a roll of toilet paper for the entire two-bedroom apartment. I called the owner and he blamed the cleaning staff. He then told me he would contact them and ask them to bring some. While waiting for the delivery, I noticed there was no basic items like shampoo and shower gel/soap. I sent the owner an sms asking if the cleaners could bring these items too. He told me that he doesn't provide these since he isn't a hotel but an apartment and you're supposed to bring your own items. For a family taking their car on vacation, that makes sense. But for the many business travelers who can only take what they are allowed on planes, it doesn't make sense. I've stayed at a number of similar rental places and they've always provided these items. He called a couple hours later to tell me that the cleaning crew could not bring the toilet paper that day and I'd have to wait for the next day. Since I didn't have a car, I had to walk a mile to the 7-11 gas station to pick up these items. In the heat. The next day, on returning from my conference, we found a four pack of toilet paper stuck in the front door. For myself, it wasn't a problem. But if you bring your family, four rolls is miserly. If you have a car, no need of reimbursement, and you just want a shelter over your head and a pool in the back, this is ok. If you need to deal with the owner, stay as far away as possible.

South End Marco Island Condo

The condo is clean and well kept. It could use some minor maintenance, sliding glass doors need lubrication, washing machine is noisy. However, overall i give it an A rating, for being well kept and clean, it is in a very nice, quiet area, about 10 minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and shopping.

Perfect location!

Perfect location in Marco Island. We were a short walk to the beach, the pool was warm (89 degrees) and the condo was exactly as the description. The communication was more than excellent. We would definitely stay there again, we all had a great time.
