Week Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Bear-ly made it. The property was exactly what we expected and what the description was. It was very clean and easy to find. It was a great distance to Gatlinburg which was the purpose of our stay. A few of the items could be updated (kitchen utensils and TVs). No complaints at all. We would stay again and we had the best week!

Great house, well stocked kitchen supplies, tons of space, and beautiful renovated bathrooms! The kids loved the basement area with all the games! So peaceful and quiet area. Not to far from town. Great communication with property owner and quick response.

Amazing retreat in the mountains!

From the moment we pulled up and saw the cabin beautifully lit up with lights, we were blown away! The cabin was exactly as described on the website—if not better—and the views were absolutely amazing. We could even see Mount Le Conte, the highest peak in Tennessee, right from the deck.We had two rainy days during our stay, but even then, we were able to sit outside and soak in the peaceful scenery. Every night, we relaxed in the hot tub, which was amazing—and our kids absolutely loved it. The game room was also a huge hit with our family! It was the perfect spot to unwind together at night and have some fun after a day of exploring.It felt perfectly secluded while still being just 15–20 minutes from town. A highlight of our trip was spotting a bear down the road from the cabin—such a cool and unforgettable experience!The cabin itself was spotless and felt very high-end. The newly installed floors were stunning and added to the overall luxury feel.Honestly, the only bad part was having to leave. I would absolutely book this cabin again—and wouldn’t hesitate to rent from these owners if they have other properties. Communication was smooth and easy from start to finish.Highly recommend booking this cabin!

Beautiful cabin. Appliances outdated. Cabin not as clean as expected. Third floor bedroom extremely hot. Game room disappointing; pool table had screws falling out Arcade game with broken joystick. Otherwise, excellent location with beautiful views.

Great place for a family stay

We had a wonderful time. The cabin has everything you need to entertain and care for your family. The only drawback is parking, but we would stay again and recommend the cabin to anyone interested in a nice place to stay.

Wonderful Place to Hang Out

Nice game room. Great views. Comfortable beds. Shower in main floor master bedroom was very nice. Updated kitchen and huge refrigerator let us stock up food for the week. Great location halfway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the cabin and vicinity.

Beautiful home and area. Had everthing in it yoj would need. Beautiful decks and nice hot tub. Has quite alot of stairs but does have a bedroom on main floor with bath. The drive is steep but manageable. Cody was very responsive to questions. We did see a bear cub in the vicinity and it was adorable!

Nice Location

This cabin is conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and easy access to the National Park. Cabin has potential to be very nice but does have some deferred maintenance.

Family getaway

The cabin was perfect for a family of five. My young adult sons loved the basement game room. Lots of extras for a rainy day….movies, board games, etc. Mountain view without too far of a drive up. Would recommend with 4 1/2 stars rating.

Perfect Holiday

Stayed for a week for the holiday with our children and their family and it was perfect. There was plenty of space for us all to watch movies together, eat, and play games. Greatly appreciated the baby gates available for the stairs. Views from the decks and hot tub was fantastic! Listing description was not kidding about one side of the driveway being steep!

The full mountain experience

The house was very pretty, cozy, and had gorgeous views! We saw plenty of wildlife and got a great mountain experience staying here. Pigeon Forge was only a couple miles away and Gatlinburg wasn’t much further. One warning to those who aren’t used to driving in the mountains, the gps directions to the house has very sharp turns and steep hills! I didn’t think we would make it up and down the hill. But, there’s a less steep way to go down which was better on our car. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cabin in the Smokey Mountains

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The drive up the very winding narrow roads to this mountain cabin took some getting used-to, but it was lovely once we arrived. The house was clean and comfortable and communication with the owner was excellent. This home may not be suitable for toddlers or elders unless they're able to stay in the main floor bedroom (with adjacent bathroom). The spiral staircase to the basement is narrow and could be difficult for some. Also, the driveway and entrance to the front door is very sloped and could be challenging for elders. Overall though, it was a great home and we loved the back deck overlooking the trees and mountain views. It was easy to get to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Be sure to visit Dollywood and Anakeesta when you're in the area!

Needs some attention

This cabin is not in Gatilinburg, its actually only 2 miles south of Pigeon Forge. Which wasn't that big a problem for us but we wanted to be closer to Gatlinburg than this cabin was. Cody was very responsive to our problems as we had no water several times during our stay. The view is great. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch. The cabin needs some intense cleaning. Inside and out. It was disappointing to see that previous tenants had littered down the hillside. The driveway up is steep but you get used to it by the end of the week - however, I made my husband drive. The staircase scares me because the spindles are so far apart that a toddler could fall straight through to the spiral stairs to the basement. When we visit Gatlinburg again, I would consider staying here if it appeared by other reviews that these problems had been addressed.

Comfort and cleanliness not a top priority

We walked in to windows and doors covered in grime, inside and out. Handprints, and dog slobber - glass had not been cleaned.The black rug in the living room was covered in white dog hair and reeked of wet dog.The newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen was a variety of mismatched, mostly dirty kitchen ware. The cabinets contained hair, crumbs, and grime that hadn’t been wiped out.Our “clean” linens were crumpled up in balls and shoved in the linen closet.The upstairs bathroom ceiling above the shower had black “speckles” in the wood. With the lack of ventilation, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was mold.The air filters and grates were caked in dust, pet hair, and grime.The washer and dryer had not been cleaned. Washer contained old detergent residue, dust, dander, and hair. The dryer lint trap was full with an inch thick clump of lint.The basement was unusable due to the carpet smelling strongly of dog. The air hockey table was broken and pool table not far behind it.One of two couches in living room was broken upon arrival. To owners credit he had a crew come out to bring a different couch from the basement. Unfortunately, it had a heavy dog smell like that of the basement. There was no green space for our 16 year old dog and very steep terrain. Sadly, I am unable to post the pictures that would speak for themselves but if you are reading this post, I would look elsewhere.Bonus star for location - easy access to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Beautiful Cabin Getaway

This cabin is so quite and cozy. We had everyone from our toddlers to our grandmother with us and everyone had an amazing time. The property is located on breath taking mountain top, almost at the very top. It was decorated perfectly with bears and smelled of wood. t kept our toddlers busy and the older family member peaceful. It really was an amazing time. Only problem we had was the drive as it snowed a bit so roads got slippery. Its' located on a steep windy road (but all mountain properties are) and the drive way is not for beginners. Please don't let that stop you though. Its\'s tucked away just enough to have peace and quite and enjoy nature while sitting on the amazing back porch in the jacuzzi. The place is definitely one to return to.

My only complaint is that in both emails from VRBO they had the city wrong. We started by going to the wrong address that didn’t exist. The property manager got us to the right one.

Our love affair with Gatlinburg began as a simple getaway, where the majestic mountains and the charm of the area captivated our hearts. After multiple visits and the joy of staying in various cabins, we couldn't resist the allure of making Gatlinburg our home away from home. Hailing from a small town just 20 minutes north of Indianapolis, the mountains offer a refreshing change from the flat lands and cornfields of our daily lives.

As avid outdoor enthusiasts, we find immense joy in hiking and exploring, and the Smoky Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for our adventures. Although we love traveling and exploring new places, Gatlinburg has always held a special place in our hearts. It truly offers something for everyone – from the tranquility of nature to the vibrant shopping, dining, and entertainment options in the towns, creating a perfect blend for a memorable vacation.

Beyond our love for Gatlinburg, we reside in Indiana and manage several residential rental properties, along with our two cabins in the heart of Tennessee. Family and friends play a significant role in our lives, and each spring and fall, we eagerly anticipate gathering a large group for a memorable retreat to our cabins. It's a tradition we cherish and look forward to every year.
