Ympärivuotinen lintuaktiviteetti tekee tästä kodista sopivan nimityksen "Pääskyset". Monet kutsuvat Pääskysiä “Pieni pala taivaasta”, ja se on!

Pääskyset sijaitsevat hiljaisen pienen kadun päässä Yachatsin luoteispäässä. Talo on vain yhden korttelin päässä seitsemän mailin päässä hiekkarannalta pohjoiseen. Etelään on alku historialliselle 804-reitille, joka kulkee rannikkoa pitkin henkeäsalpaavista näkymistä kivien ja maisema-auringonlaskujen kaatuneisiin aaltoihin. Voit kävellä polun kokonaan kaupunkiin, joka on yhteensä noin puolen tunnin kävelymatka - yhteen suuntaan. Pysähdy Adobe-polkua pitkin syömään heidän merenrantaravintolaan.

Voit nähdä valtameren olohuoneesta ja ruokasalista ja mukavana päivänä istua kannella kupillisen teetä, liottaa säteisiin ja kuunnella jytinä olevan valtameren ääniä. Talo on erittäin mukava, valoisa, pirteä, hyvin varusteltu asuinpaikka, joka on viihtyisä kaikkina vuodenaikoina, lämpimillä pörröisillä huovilla ja mukavilla vuoteilla.

Coast getaway

We loved staying here with our baby and dog for three nights. The location is absolutely perfect! We cooked yummy meals in the fully stocked kitchen and listened to the waves from the deck and played lots of board games!

Cozy spot by the ocean

We absolutely loved our stay at this house. It was so cozy and the view was perfect. We loved reading by the fire every evening and snuggling with coffee in the AM. The beds were surprisingly comfortable!

Firm beds with a variety of pillow choices. Ocean view from deck and dining room window. Quiet..Bedrooms had dressers, nightstands, bedside lights and hangers. This house is very reasonably priced for the Yachats area and still close to beach, trails and has a good view. -Light blocking curtains would be helpful in the bedrooms..there is a glass top extending over the wooden dining table that could easily be a hazard

Peaceful and creative home

The “Swallows"was every thing we hoped for in a vacation rental. It is spacious, comfortable, and inviting. The sounds and views of the ocean were phenomenal.

Our heaven on earth !!

We have nothing but good to share about this spot. This cottage is super clean, better stocked than is the norm, and a location that can't be beat! Almost hate to put the word out too far as it's a beach gem we'll all be competing for! Property manager was SUPER responsive to any and all inquiries.

Yachats at it's best.

The Swallows was cozy, comfortable and quaint. Walking path just 2 house's down and easy beach access. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking meals, nice view while enjoying them. Quiet neighborhood, lots of birds. Great home base for exploring the area. Sure hope to come and stay again.Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

A very good location, half a block from seven miles of beach to the right and a long walk over the headlands to the left. The home is very comfortable, well-maintained and well-supplied. The neighborhood is very quiet except for the sound of the ocean. Highly recommended for couples or small families.

Cute comfy place! Good location! Loved that it was close to the trail into town. Loved the fireplace. Clean bathroom and bedding!!Bit of a musty smell in the house and was not thrilled to find a spider web full of dead and alive spiders next to the couch in the TV room. Covers on both couches need to be washed. One of the blinds in the bedroom closest to fireplace was very dirty and rusted.Would be nice to have the TV in the room with the fireplace! Only thing missing is a washer and dryer!!

Great spot, except for the moldy windows.

The location of this rental was superb. It was walking distance from a long section of sandy beach. It was also close to a very lovely trail. We enjoyed our time outside a lot. It was a gift. The overall look of the inside was nice. The kitchen served us well. FYI they don't want you to cook crab here so plan accordingly. We stopped for fish along the way so that would have been disappointing to find out had we purchased fresh crab. There is no kitchen exhaust, so that made things interesting. That in combination with the heavy wind and rain. Several of the windows collected condensation and exposed the active mold sources. I shared the concerns with the host group property management team and they seemed pressed to take care of it. I was left feeling pretty miserable while we were there and am detoxing after our stay. Our belongings retained the musty odor of the property so I am cleaning that with mold specific laundry products. If that were my property, I would be updating the windows and removing any water damaged material. Had I known the condition of this rental, I would not have chosen to spend time or money here. I understand that battling moisture on the coast is a constant struggle. Updating the windows from single pane aluminum would go a long way. The gorgeous picture window was covered in mold around the perimeter. In the bottom left corner there was cracking and peeling paint, a sign of mold and water damage. This was not what I was expecting for our vacay.

Best location for a coast rental

This was our second stay at this property- What an amazing location- quick stroll down a quiet dirt road about 30 yards- turn left and enjoy the beautiful 804 trail; turn right and access 7 miles of beautiful and very UNcrowded sandy beach!!

Comfortable cottage with ocean views from deck

Comfortable 2 BR/1BA cottage with a nice deck where we had most meals and relaxed. Easy check-in with a code for the lock box. The gas fireplace was welcome on cool mornings. Quiet neighborhood, birds and beautiful flowers in the back yard. Very close (less than a block) to the coastal trail, which I walked daily. Near the trail were wild blackberries , which we enjoyed for breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again!!

good experience in spite of unexpected challenge

My wife and I could not stay in the house due to a last-minute issue. The host was very accommodating and allowed two of our friends to stay in our place. The high ratings you see were what my friends experienced and communicated to me. It was a positive situation in a challenging situation.

The location was awesome . Steps from the beach and coastal trail. Very quiet. Comfortable beds and furniture. Everything you need for a great stay except for a dishwasher, washer and dryer which would have been nice.

Nice cottage on the shore

Very quaint cottage/home on the Oregon shore. Close to Yachats for dining and shopping. Perfect for relaxing on the beach - just a quick walk down a public pathway to the beach. We were very happy there - our only suggestion is to stock beach chairs.

We fell in love with Yachats and the 804 Trail back in the early 1990's. This is where we always went for a change, rest and rejuvenation. We would always rent a house on the "fish streets" with our three children, as we loved the proximity of the beach and trail and so much peace and quiet. We felt like the people who had homes here were so lucky, and we held out hope that someday we could be as lucky too! We frequently rented "The Swallows" and by a twist of fate reached out to the owner at a time when she was looking to make a change, as were we....and, the rest is history.

We bought this property because of LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is the kind of get-away that most people would appreciate: comfortable, cozy, bright and fun. It is a very personal kind of place..a great little retreat to the coast.

We love the quiet and the sound of the surf in every room. We are yet to finish reading anything....the sound of the surf has us asleep in no time at all.... The house is cozy with a great view of the ocean and a gas fireplace that makes even the rainiest of days a pleasure. We like the easy and uncomplicated atmosphere and the proximity of Overleaf Lodge, Fireside and the Adobe for some special amenities.....It is nice to walk over to the Adobe for a meal and then, walk back (their chocolate cake is to die for!) Yachats and the area around have many things to offer in way of entertainment and nature excursions. Newport with its aquarium is not far and we love to eat pastries at the Green Salmon or go for dinner and listen to music at the Drift Inn.
