UPDATE: This condo is professionally cleaned and we have contactless check-in!

This modern decor condo features 1 King, and a murphy bed, a private balcony, LCD TVs, a private bathroom, full-sized appliances, and a kitchen table. With upscale furnishings and decor including granite countertops in both the kitchen and bathroom giving it a modern touch. This condo has breathtaking views from both the balcony and the main living area. This condo will comfortably sleep up to 6. Tastefully decorated to give you the flair of the beach and allow you the enjoyment of the ocean view from your balcony. The bedroom features a king bed, there is a Murphy bed in the living area. This HIGH (12th) FLOOR unit provides awesome views of the beach and the city. A large swimming pool and Jacuzzi are located on the 10th floor! The kitchen has a full-sized refrigerator, range, microwave/range hood, along with a dining room table to enjoy meals in your condo. The resort features an oceanfront pool deck with an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, indoor water amenities - pool, lazy river, kiddie pools, and a Jacuzzi, a fitness room, and attached onsite parking (no crossing the street!)

Monterey Bay is located in the upscale north end of the city of Myrtle Beach, about two miles from the downtown hotel section. It is close to restaurants, shops, entertainment, and other attractions.

Disaster get away

We did not stay due to extreme filth in the unit. Property Managment company was not willing to move us to another unit. We have provided VRBO with 10 pictures of unsanitary issues in the unit. Extremely upset with how we were treated.

Room critiques

Everything was convenient. And easy to get too. Because we booked through Vrbo we weren’t allowed to have the FREE breakfast .. the bed was hard , very uncomfortable. Made for bad nights of sleep which made the days hard to get through. I was just dying to be in my own bed every night. Could have been more clean . The floors especially. It wasn’t comfy and cozy. The directions on parking asked us to use the 3rd-8th floor and our vehicle couldn’t be parked up there. We tried to go up there anyway because we didn’t want to risk being towed & ended up scratching the truck trying to get back down to the main floor. It was very loud at night on the other sides of the walls. And the Wi-Fi was so slow , we weren’t able to watch Netflix , Hulu or Disney+. So many rules , we felt like we were stepping on eggshells the entire time. The property manager got back to me quickly though with any questions I had.

Not a great experience overall.

Pros: Beautiful location - view of beach was great Basically 2 bedrooms with Murphy wall bed Cons: ZERO flexibility with the owner regarding your reservation. We had a family emergency and asked to reschedule our trip for another weekend. It was weeks before our stay, so the owner has plenty of opportunity to book the space. She would only do it if we paid a $200 change fee. And if you want to check in or out a little early? There's a fee even if they didn't have anyone checking in after you. Check in at 4pm and check out at 10 am really shortens your trip if you're doing a 2 night stay. Just way too restrictive and focused on getting your money instead of trying to work with their renters for a good experience. 4 pages of rules for your stay sent after reservation is made. (not kidding - we printed out 4 pages!) Smaller than expected based on photos - very tight and narrow space. No dishwasher - you are expected to hand wash every dish and put them all back in the cupboard before you leave. I was so grossed out when I realized I was using dishes that some random person before me had probably just rinsed off before they left. Parking garage a nightmare - the ramps to each level are so tiny you could not get a full size vehicle in that garage. SLOW elevators! Even though it has multiple elevators, they are painfully slow. Unit is on the 12th floor so we spent a lot of time standing and waiting for elevators. Would not rent this unit again.

I grew up in rural North Carolina, visiting Myrtle Beach on our family vacations and loved every second. I love Myrtle Beach because the palm trees in the pool area give a tropical feel! I have one little girl and our condo is our other pride and joy. I am excited to help you have a perfect vacation and I want your experience to be perfect.
