Experience true serenity at Whispering Forest! This 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom custom cabin is surrounded by nature on over 8 acres of privacy. With it's own private 25-foot waterfall, Whispering Forest is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast or someone looking to get away from it all to relax and rejuvenate.

Upon entering this home you will find a large living room with comfortable furnishings and a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, and custom high-end finishes throughout. A queen bedroom and shared bathroom can also be found on the main level. Upstairs is an additional queen bedroom and private bathroom. On the large, lower level, you will find a game room with a rock faced wall, wood-burning fireplace, PAC Man game, and a queen pull out sofa. Also located on this level is the the master bedroom which features a comfortable king size bed.

Head outside where you'll be greeted by the sound of the rushing creek and private waterfall. Whether you're looking to relax in the hot tub perched over the waterfall, grill your favorite meal and enjoy some outdoor dining, cozy up around the outdoor fireplace, or roast s'mores at the fire pit, you will love the the peaceful setting that Whispering Forest offers!

This cabin is located in Wolf Creek, which is a gated subdivision consisting of 75 acreage lots at a high elevation with lake access to Wolf Creek Lake, a 183 acre lake with 6.9 miles of shoreline and excellent fishing. If you're looking for an amazing place to reconnect with family and friends, Whispering Forest is the place for you!

Lovely place to disconnect and relax while enjoying nature right outside the door. The Pac-Man arcade, fire pit, hot tub, and corn hole provide lots of entertainment.

Luxury Mountain Escape

Incredible cabin located in a beautiful setting. The cabin was fully stocked with all operating supplies needed for a long getaway. The cabin is thoughtfully decorated with comfortable bedding and furniture as well. The outdoor seating was plentiful and the hot tub was an absolute hit with our group. Not to mention, the sound of the running brook and waterfall adjacent to the property was so peaceful! Definitely have a truck or SUV with 4WD as the driveway is extremely steep. All in, it was an incredible vacation with family and the team at Sundog, especially Sterling, were amazing to work with! Thank you for providing a relaxing, restful getaway!

Paradise

It was everything that the listing entailed plus! The view from the back deck is simply amazing. The owner's thought of everything to provide an incredible experience; including dishes, kitchen utensils, throws, deck fireplace, incredible outdoor seating that allows you to see the property from every view. The layout of the house is great for multiple guests that provide great privacy. While it was stated that a 4WD is required or recommended, the driveway is nicely paved but steep, the road into the development is gravel and in good condition with 1 or 2 steep spots. It is a traction issue, not a ground clearance issue. It is worth the climb!

Fantastic Mountain Getaway

Beautiful, perfectly furnished cabin home tucked in a secluded niche, overlooking its own private brook and waterfalls. Spacious rooms, well equipped kitchen, with endless porches overlooking the waterfalls. The outdoor fireplace was exceptionally nice. Perfect for a large family. We would stay here annually. And I have the five highest scores on the Galaga archade 🙂

Perfect in every way

We had an incredible weekend spent in this exquisite home nestled in the most gorgeous nature setting with a private waterfall. We will definitely be back with our family. Kids had a great time and my husband and I really enjoyed the porch nights and outdoor fire pits. Thank you!

Whispering Forest

Absolutely gorgeous! My family had a blast and we were very comfortable. Just a warning to come in an all wheel drive or a 4x4 vehicle. The road to the cabin is tricky, but in great condition . Beautiful decor and the sound of the creek is very relaxing. Highly recommend!

Amazing cabin

Beautiful clean cabin with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. The porches are comfortable with plenty of seating. We sat outside at night by the fireplace listening to the waterfalls. The interior was exactly what a log cabin getaway should look like, well decorated and had everything we needed, from games to a waffle maker, Beds were comfortable.Overall it was an amazing holiday getaway. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to our friends and family.

Serene & quiet, away from every day's hustle & bustle, an outdoorsman's perfect getaway with the sound of waterfalls in your backyard and Loved ❤️ the private hot tub experience with colorful changing lights. Beautiful wrap around porch and fire pit area to roast s'mores. Unique bark clad accents and local wildlife decor throughout the interior. Definitely a peaceful and private disconnect from life daily distractions.

What a pleasant experience I've had, such a beautiful, quiet & serene home, this rustic yet modern home, is the perfect place to get away and enjoy the outdoors and reconnect with nature ! Enjoy sitting on the outdoor wrap around patio while listening to the sounds of the water in the back yard stream, or warm your toes by the outdoor fireplace while sipping a glass of wine, or enjoy the hot tub with the color changing lights and powerful jets, for a relaxing time :-) Can't wait to return !

Best ever!!!!!!

We just returned from Whispering Forest and we all are ready to return--soon!!!! The accommodations were excellent. Bedrooms were a perfect size with large closets and very comfortable beds. No issues with bathrooms or showers--plenty of towels. We were most impressed with the kitchen and all the features we found there-- appliances were top of the line and we weren't lacking for anything. Everything worked perfectly with no issues. We were very comfortable for the 4 days we visited there--even the rain day was a great day!! We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone who loves waterfalls--there's one right outside the front door!!North Carolina at its finest!!! this is it folks!

Family vacation

This was our yearly summer family vacation and by far this was probably one of the most secluded and very very relaxing vacation we have ever took. However, the only downfall is you have to drive about 30 minutes every day to the trash dump. There is no trash pick up near the cabin. However, it’s really not a downfall. I would recommend this cabin for any more that is looking for a true get away from work, and every day life stress the pictures do not do this Kevin, any justice it is truly a beautiful cabin and the description does not lie. You do need four-wheel-drive to get to this cabin. I would also advise that the master is downstairs and the kitchen is in the middle stairs or middle floor, but it is still a wonderful cabin, and I would love to stay there again. I would also love to mention that the company that handles the rental was very, very polite and helpful. And if I had to make any suggestions for them, I would ask for especially older couples looking to get away that they leave directions on how to work the newer air unit this cabin has, but that would be my main comment/concern.

Amazing Home

5+++ rating! We had an wonderful time at this home! It is beautiful and the surroundings are as well. The kitchen was more than amply supplied with all the items you need for meal prep as well as for grilling. Loved the decor down to the bear light switch covers and toilet paper holders - so adorable!! The furnishings are so unique and are perfect for the home and surroundings. The beds were super comfy especially the king in the downstairs. So many great throws supplied for super comfy mornings by the fire with coffee. The outside areas... oh my.. the waterfall and creek pure heaven sitting outside by the fireplace in rocking chairs or relaxing in the hot tub and hearing the water flowing.. simply amazing! We had a 4 wheel-drive truck and we were glad we had it for the gravel portion of the driveway. Wifi access was good as I was able to do a zoom call from my phone and hubby was able on his laptop. We were able to access youtubetv, netflix, hulu, etc... easily. Very happy with all the service we received from Sundog rentals. Can't say enough wonderful things about this home! We had an wonderful vacation! Wish it was ours to visit frequently!
