Wonderful place in a beautiful spot!

Great place for short or long stay. Came for the July 4th car launch. The views from this place are stunning! Found myself just watching the sunlight dance across the mountain view for hours

Fun Stop

We had a lovely time at this rental. It had everything we needed and more. It was easy to check in, the WiFi was good, and the views were fantastic. I would certainly stay here again in the future.

Mountain nirvana

This is a charming apartment feel private and charming stay. Windows everywhere and even a balcony to soak up the unbelievable beauty of 360 degrees of glacier mountain. Quiet… it snowed hard during my stay! Special treats from the owners was the icing on the cake.

Amazing Views

Shana was a perfect host and we enjoyed meeting her. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen had coffee, a few breakfast items, snacks, and spices. The house nestled in the mountains had beautiful views. The observatory with the telescope was an added bonus. Easy check in and check out. Surely wished we had booked more than one night here. Lovely relaxing stay with views

This was our first stop on a 10 day 30th anniversary trip, and we were looking for a relaxing, beautiful place to chill, get our feet beneath us, and overcome jet lag. The property was clean with big windows overlooking the Chugach mountain range. A welcome note from the property owners greeted us, along with some goodies. Kitchen was well-appointed. It is virtually across the street from the Sheep Mountain Lodge which has a very nice small restaurant if you so choose. Many well-maintained hiking trails nearby on the Sheep Mountain side, with access to the Gunsight trail head. Had a chance to have a nice chat with the property owners who live quietly on site in a connected house. Quintessential Alaska spot to stay. We loved our two day sojourn.

Incredibly lovely home and location

This home was gorgeous! The location at sheep Mountain was beautiful, whether it was sunny or overcast or foggy. We experienced all three in the two days we were there, and the home offers amazing views of all the surrounding mountains. We saw a moose and her calf, and a bear! It also had all of the amenities we could've needed, from toiletries and linens to cooking supplies, coffee/tea, and breakfast items. There was even a bookcase full of boardgames and books, and an observatory with a telescope, which our 5 year old thoroughly enjoyed. The nearby Sheep Mountain Lodge has an excellent restaurant as well, when we didn't cook for ourselves. Lovely hosts, would definitely stay here again!

So disappointed

After packing and driving almost two hours, we opened the door to the cabin and got hit in the face with raid. Since there are no roaches in alaska, the only thing you could be fumigating for is bed bugs. Tourist have died from sleeping in rooms that had been fumigated for bed bugs. they didn't even try to air it out. I can't believe you would do someone like that. it stunk horribly.. I could feel it in my throat period I almost got dizy from it .

Great location, cute property

We had a wonderful stay for two nights to start our Christmas holiday break! The owners are so nice. We happened to get tons of snow the night before we departed and they shoveled out around our entire car. They even let us know that Christmas carolers were coming to the house so we got to listen and watch from the property balcony. The location is beautiful. It’s very quiet and peaceful. We spent our day cross country skiing at the lodge across the street. Was a perfect way to start our winter break! The cabin was cute, there’s a great coffee station and adorable hot coca mugs for the kids. Tons of games! Would stay again anyway. Thanks for the great stay and hospitality!

Nice place beautiful scenery

My family has stayed here before, which is the best indicator of how nice of a place this is. Kitchen is well furnished. No problems to report at all. We stayed for our snowmachine ride weekend. Trails are easily accessible and hosts are very helpful in guiding us on the where to gos.

Beautiful suit in mountains. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, with everything my family needed. Best of all, you have stunning view of mountains. Host Shana is super helpful and responsive to make sure you have a great stay. Wish we had more time there!

I was born and raised in Anacortes WA. When I was 20 yrs old I bought a one way ticket to Alaska never been there before in my life with my then 3 yr old son and have left since that was 12 yrs ago. Since then I had a daughter and me and my boyfriend both lovers of the outdoors would love to open our doors for people all over the world who want a true Alaskan experience. A place that makes you feel like you are truly out in the mountains.

My property is extremely unique and you won't find anything else like it. The original owners bought the land and started building the property back in the early 1980s and lived here till I bought it in 2019 because the couple just couldn't maintain it anymore. If you want a place that feels like you are away from it all this is it. From sipping coffee from the balcony taking in the mountain views. To the tons of trails at your foot steps for cross country skiing or snow shoeing in the winter or bring your side by side or four wheeler in the summer.
