Dirty and poor maintenance
Rating Details:
The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was very dirty.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

The property was dirty. There was rat/mouse poop coming out every day from the ceiling in the master bathroom, the master closet was smelly and dirty, the sheets didn’t feel clean, the backyard hadn’t been swept in forever and we had to do it. The front half door would close on you so hard it hurt and there was even a cockroach crawling on my husband’s arm in the middle of the night in the bed. Awful. The furniture was old, the carpet was horrible in the living room (we had to clean it as we had a 1-year old crawling over it), the drawers wouldn’t close and open properly, there were two coffee makers without coffee pots , they gave us 2 rolls of toilet paper for a week stay, and the list goes on and on. We have been coming to Saint Simon’s for 10+ years and this is by far the worst place we have ever stayed at. The bad review that was left a little while ago on VRBO was accurate and we should have listened to it. We payed way too much for this place. What was positive about the stay: late checkout was made possible which was really nice, location was great, and backyard (although dirty) was awesome.
