Because of its location between Ritter and Memorial parks, the Blue House is a dog owner/nature lovers paradise. If you want to relax and read a book, listen to a record, take a nature walk with your dog, or go for a run, this is the place for you! It is located in a safe friendly neighborhood full of historic homes. The walking path in front of this home extends in both directions, to Ritter Park in one direction and to the end of Memorial Park in the other. Huntington's parks have all manner of wildlife, mature trees, and are well maintained by the city. There is a whole house on demand generator for peace of mind during the occasional winter storm. For guests coming to Huntington for longer stays, we offer 20% off for stays of a week or more and 40% off for stays of a Month or more. We have no pet fee, no weight limit on dogs, and a reasonable cleaning fee of $120. Our cancellation policy is relaxed, and we do sometimes make exceptions for health emergencies or dangerous weather conditions. If you do bring pets, please use the sofa covers and extra blankets provided to protect the furniture. Coffee, creamer, sugar, tea and some snacks are provided for guests. This home is located on North Blvd between 3rd and 4th Street West. Built in 1927, it was remodeled with an eye on showcasing local art and vintage decor, most coming from the Sloane Square Gallery and from other antique dealers located in the Central City Antique district (5 minutes away and a must see for anyone coming to Huntington). We have filled this home with an eclectic mix of books as well. Nearly every room has a vintage lamp to set the mood as you read or listen to music. This home also has a private fenced backyard and a covered patio with seating. In spring and summer, the front and back garden are full of bulbs and blooms. There is a paved driveway for 2 cars directly in front of the house. There are 3 bedrooms with a king bed in the Master, a full bed in the 2nd bedroom, and a full bed in the 3rd bedroom. We provide sheets, blankets, lots of pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, first aid supplies, and household cleaning supplies. There is a dining room with a table that seats 6, a laundry closet with a stackable full-size washer and dryer, one full bath with a walk-in shower, and a half bath. Because the full bath and all the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor, this house would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. Parties are not allowed please since this is a quiet residential neighborhood. We have a fast response time for questions or for any issues that may come up. Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet (1 Gbps), a large smart TV, and the Peacock app are all provided. Smoking is permitted on the back patio only. Vaping inside of the house is allowed.
