Water sport enthusiasts will love the direct access to a community boardwalk that provides access to the sound for kiteboarding, paddleboarding, windsurfing, or kayaking. Exploring the many trails and boardwalks in the area on a bike or by foot will allow you to follow your whims for a beach day at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Other great activities include fishing, lounging at the Kinnakeet Shores pool and tennis facilities, or cycling into town for an ice cream after dinner. But if total relaxation is high on your wish list, SOUND THERAPY fulfills that desire with four floors of soothing surroundings. On the first level, a natural barrier of maritime trees and marsh grasses protect a pool surrounded by plenty of chaise lounges, 7-person hot tub, picnic table, and an outdoor shower. The home boasts seven bedrooms located on levels one through three and conveniently accessed by an all-floor elevator which not only makes it handicap accessible, but easy to unload luggage and groceries. On the first level, you will find the game room, a full bath, and a bedroom featuring two pyramid bunks, offering the perfect kid lair. Discover four master bedrooms on the second level — two kings and two queens —each with a private ensuite bath, including one that is handicap friendly. Three of the 4 bedrooms on this floor have personal decks to sit and relax on, to enjoy the beauty of nature that surrounds SOUND THERAPY. The laundry room with utility sink is located on this level as well. Enjoy two more luxurious master king rooms on the third floor, each outfitted with a private bath with soaking tub and a personal deck; one which faces the sound and the other looking east to embrace the early morning sun. Also on this floor is a calming library with TV and a sleeper sofa offering sweeping views of the sound. A slider reveals a sound-facing deck where you can unwind with a good book in a comfortable rocking chair or an old-fashioned swing seat as the sun sets below the horizon.

The fourth-floor great room, designed for camaraderie and connection, is where the family magic happens. Tall ceilings, wood floors, and windows that fill the room with light, enhancing an open-concept space. Avid cooks will appreciate the spacious and well-stocked gourmet kitchen featuring double ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers, along with a four-burner cooktop. Chill your favorite beverages in the wine cooler and enjoy the availability of two pantries to store your groceries. New for 2023: All ten Smart TVs have been given Roku streaming capability, perfect for streaming the group’s favorite in the great room or for evening relaxation before bed. Six Bluetooth surround sound speakers enhance entertainment throughout the pool area or the game room. On level two, the laundry room has been upgraded with a new washer and dryer.
New for 2022: 7-Person hot tub. New gas grill. The outdoor shower has been newly renovated. In the kitchen, two new dishwashers have been added. The great room has seen many updates, including new furniture, carpeting, sliding glass doors, and tile.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.
