Our place is up on a hill with spectacular, unobstructed views of Mount Mitchell. The property boasts a private setting. Neighbors' homes are visible but they are a distance away or through a heavy tree line. Our cabin's privacy is paired with access to the quaint, Appalachian town of Burnsville where you can enjoy bars, restaurants, shopping and a full, modern grocery store (Ingles). Looking for a day or night out on a bigger stage? Asheville is a short 35-minute drive away.

There are countless hikes within a 30-minute drive from our cabin. Literally overlooking the Pisgah National Forest, the Black Mountain Range and the majesty of Mount Mitchell, the adventures are endless.

This property has a rare combination of amenities at a great value. Our cabin is not part of a neighborhood. It offers a private experience without missing out on amenities large communities can sometimes offer. These include a private seasonal pool (pool season is late May to mid-September), a private all-season spa, hard scaped fire pit area, a large deck and Jack and Jill balcony. The spa, fire pit, deck and balcony all enjoy unobstructed, long-range views of the Black Mountain Range and Mount Mitchell, the tallest peak east of the Mississippi River.

If entertaining is more your style, our freshly renovated kitchen may be of interest. With an open and airy concept with a high, timber ceiling and ample windows overlooking that great view, our kitchen is stocked with every conceivable pot, pan and appliance you may need. You can sit back and enjoy our complementary coffee and tea station while you soak in the breathtaking sunrise over the mountains.

Is grilling more your style? We have you covered with a gas grill for your use on the main level deck. Ever had to pack up propane or firewood to make use of everything a property like this has to offer? Not at our cabin! Propane for the grill and fire table and firewood for the fire pit is provided for free. This is one unique way I show my commitment to value when you stay with us.

If taking in all that Appalachia has to offer is of interest, this is the place. Wolf Ridge and Sugar Mountain ski resorts are within an hour's drive of the cabin. There are dozens of highly acclaimed hikes within a 30-mile radius many featuring spectacular waterfalls this area has come to be known for. This property sits right on the northern edge of and basically overlooks the Pisgah National Forest which is where Hunger Games was filmed.
