Amazing views, lots of space, lots of steps and drops

It’s an amazing property for a large group. We we in town for our daughter’s wedding and had a number of family stay with us. Huge kitchen well equipped. Lots of private bedroom and bathes. The only issues are the sunken or dropped rooms and steps. 5 of the 14 of us took a spill or near spill with 3 of those causing a bruise soreness. Again the views from everywhere in the house was amazing. Just watch your step.

Paradise in Santa Barbara

Second time staying at this amazing home. There is so much to keep you busy on property- didn’t want to leave the house (except for beach)! Very easy and safe! Would absolutely get again for the next time.

Terrific Family Home in Santa Barbara!

We had 20 family members with us ranging from a few babies to our mother of 72. The property was ideal for us given 8 bedrooms, a large sprawling home, great indoor game room and terrific outdoor space. The home is certainly dated but had great charm. The kitchen was fully equipped with all imaginable pots, pans, utensils, etc...We will certainly come here again when/if we need a home for 18-20 family members.

Beautiful views and grounds!

There was so much room for everyone to feel comfortable. Our stay was mostly rainy but there was a lot to do in the house ; theater room, game room or just sitting by the many fire places. Some even ventured out to the hot tub! I highly recommend this estate.

Beautiful sprawling mansion

The house was fantastic and exceeded expectations. It is absolutely massive, the pictures don’t really reflect it’s true size. The yard is beautiful with manicured, tiered lawns. Bonus points for the pool being heated in the winter which was a pleasant surprise.

Wonderful!

Wonderful stay. The place is beautiful and has it all. Other reviews captured all the great aspects of the location. I agree with all. I’d just note for those with elderly parents, there’s lots of distance and steps that may be hard for older people. I’d also note that some rooms are better than others and choosing rooms can become a pain with a big family (who gets which room?). Also, the pool house is pretty musty, so it may or may not legitimately qualify as two bedrooms. So I absolutely recommend this place, but make sure you think about the room situation.

Big picture fabulous, some details so-so

Beautiful property location, grand spaces. Gorgeous views. But broken screen doors, torn screens, old dysfunctional kitchen ovens, under kitchen sinks - don’t even look. Game room bar not functional- ice machine screwed shut. Dining room table & chairs - seat only 8. If you have a bigger group, pray the weather allows dining al fresco. If you are not a perfectionist, this place is brilliant.

Looks far better than it IS! Buyer Beware!!!!

The property is not really 8 bedrooms so be sure to confirm your needs before booking. (A bedroom is a room with both a bed and a closet ... three of their "bedrooms" have no closets.) The pool house supposedly houses two bedrooms but a loft room with no closet hardly qualifies. Also, with a property as big and expensive as this one, you would be surprised to find all the missing elements. There is no sound system that allows you to enjoy your playlists throughout the house and entertainment areas. The screening room is great but a broken delivery system leaves much to be desired. The house in general needs new carpet (placing area rugs over dirty carpet is just gross) and a good cleaning. We lowered a shade in the master suite bathroom only to have much dirt (years worth) fall to the floor. There should be daily housecleaning like in a five star hotel and that should be included in the price. There should be loads of pool towels for guests use. The game room is great until you realize that the jukebox does not work and the air hockey table is subpar at best. Beware. The pictures are nice but they were taken years ago and the bedroom situation is not at all accurate. There are FIVE bedrooms. And these 5 should all have KING sized beds in them. Only two of them have king beds is them. Also, two of them have little beds for kids I guess but unless your kids are tiny, they would never sleep there. The sleeping arrangements listed are terribly misleading. Overall, until they do some major upgrades, keep looking. Four nights was enough to allow this review to be taken very seriously.

Amazing property

It’s hard finding a home large enough for 22 people ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 85. It’s also hard finding a property that works for all ages in terms of the flow of the home. Villa Verano does it all. With a great kitchen and gathering room to a gorgeous living room to the most amazing game room to two hot tubs and a pool… and a full sized movie theater to top it all off. The property is gorgeous but lots of steps to deal with. And the property manager was readily accessible when needed. The house is a bit dated, but still spectacular. Some reviews have noted things that needed repairs but those type things in no way take away the overall experience. Can’t say more about how all 22 enjoyed their week!!!

Fabulous stay at Villa Verano

We loved the compound. We barely ever left bc everything you need is there, fabulous outdoor spaces, a pool and fun game room to keep everyone busy after dinner. We were two big families with older adults and younger(21-28), everybody loved the house. The home was extremely well Equipped, we had a big group of 12 and we cooked most nights. It was very easy to cook for our large group because the kitchen is big and had everything we needed. We’d definitely consider coming back.

Wonderful House with amazing gardens and views

We had a great stay at this house. We were three families with kids and it was the perfect place for us. Plenty of bedrooms for everyone. Great large kitchen with nice cookware and large grill outside. The pool was great and location was wonderful, close to town but felt like you were a world away. The views and expensive gardens were amazing. We spent a lot of time walking the grounds each day..both kids and adults loved it. The kids also had a great time in the game room. Communication with the owner was great...prompt and easy. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Villa

Our group enjoyed every minute at this amazing property. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with equipment to prepare gourmet meals, the spa and pool had fun floaties, the movie theatre was fantastic and we easily piped in music throughout the villa. The grounds and view are fabulous as well.

Wonderful House

We stayed here with two other families and kids ranging from 1 to 9 Years old. The property is beautiful and we so much fun just exploring it The pool is awesome and they were kind enough to leave for toys out for the kids to play with. The location is great and not too far from State Street. Checking in and checking out was very easy and the property manager was very responsive. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful Experience

The property is magnificent. Our kids truly enjoyed the game room with all the things to do. We had a private chef who said the kitchen was extremely well equipped. The pool is in a great location. There were plenty of sheets and towels provided. We had a few issues and the property contact was quick to respond. Overall, we would highly recommend Villa Verano

High Top Hideaway

The home is beautiful. It’s your own personal resort. If you go with family or a group of friends, you can have quality time together on the main patio, by the pool or in the large adjoining kitching, dining and living area. The house is so large, you won’t use all of it. The game and theater rooms were hits with the children. The location is close to everything in Santa Barbara. Go…Enjoy.

Beautiful estate!

We stayed at the Villa to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. The home is incredibly spacious and the grounds are beautiful. It’s a short drive into town and to the beach, zoo, mission etc. The property manager was also great to work with and answered any questions I had quickly.

Wonderful and large Italian Villa in the Santa Barbara Foothills

We had an amazing weekend with family and friends at this property. This spacious and grand property is simply lovely, and has stunning views all the way to the ocean. The kitchen was large enough for me and my 2 sisters to all work/cook and not get in each other's way - the kitchen is well stocked with kitchen tools, pots, pans and most everything you need, including a double oven and double dish washer. The large pantry has another refrigerator in it, which was super useful for us! The 6 bedrooms in the main house all have their own bathrooms. Every living space is large with lots of light coming into from windows everywhere - and the ceilings were very high everywhere. The master bedroom take up the entire top floor of the house - it is enormous. The downstairs game room and theatre room are huge and a great place for everyone to enjoy each other. The main patio is very spacious with plenty of room to socialize and sit down for a dinner and enjoy the views from the hilltop. The pool and hot tub are beautiful, and pool house has its own kitchen and 2 bathrooms with plenty of space to sleep 6 people. The property seems endless as it descends to a garden with a gazebo area. The finishes of the house are older, but in some ways it adds to the charm of this place. The place is amazingly quiet, except for birds who love the beautiful flowers and landscaping that surround the property. Everyone loved being there and wished we could stay longer. We would definitely stay there again!

Incredible Location for Large Groups

We really enjoyed this sprawling villa with endless space for entertainment. We had 8 families stay in this house with plenty of room for everyone to have lots of space. We would definitely come back!
