Our family and friends had a great time here for five days while celebrating our son's graduation from The University of Miami. Was the perfect venue for a destination event. Plenty of room to sleep, play, party, socialize, eat, cook, etc. Everyone loved it. And if you like manatees, sharks, dolphins, iguanas, large fish, falcons, boat traffic and views, you'll be occupied all day long. All of those are found in Biscayne Bay. It has something for pretty much everyone. Nobody wanted to leave when the time came to depart.
Now, that being said, the place wasn't perfect, mainly because of the "cleaning service" that is allegedly used. Nobody stayed here in the week leading up to arrival, so there was plenty of time for the place to be cleaned and maintained properly, but it quickly became clear to us that is wasn't. NOBODY should have to clean toilet seats of dried urine, or clear a bathroom and its jacuzzi of countless dead ants, or pick up broken glass around the pool/deck area, upon their arrival to any property. That was very disappointing. But our guests never saw any of this, so it certainly didn't disrupt their enjoyment.
Pros: Beautiful secluded area; size; rooms; view; pool/hot tub; multiple refrigerators inside and outside; nature; kitchen; ice machines inside and outside; deck; palapa hut with grill, seats and tables; countless lounging spaces; two washers and dryers; tons of towels; quick replies and great communication from the property manager.
Cons: Not clean upon arrival - a couple bathrooms in particular. Had to clean toilets seats on our own. Yuck. Broken glass around the pool area, and sporadically found on the grounds. An entire shattered rocks glass next to the deck on the side of the house. So many room and bedroom lights were unplugged when we arrived. Dead ants scattered throughout the master bedroom bathroom upon arrival. The pool lights that look so good in the photos were inoperable. The patio leaks in one area from the terrace above it during rain, as does the roof of the palapa hut, right above the large dining table. The arcade game shown in the photos was not in the house at all. The kitchen A/C is very wonky, so be prepared to either freeze or sweat profusely in the kitchen, as the thermostat did not appear to function.
Overall: We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, we'd just be sure to make certain it was cleaned better before arrival.
