Tucked into the rolling hills of Amish country, the newly-constructed Middlehaven offers an escape from the city and a chance to connect with the folks who matter most.

YOUR LARGE GROUP (& FIDO) ARE WELCOMED HERE
Middlehaven has room for everyone including:
✔The Main House 5 bedrooms (sleeps 15)
✔The Loft Apartment 1 bedroom (sleeps 6- addition cost $200/night)
✔The Conservatory 1 bedroom (sleeps 2- additional cost $150/night)

For groups of 15 or less, The Main House offers 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, giving you ample space to spread out comfortably in English Cottage-style accommodations.

For groups of 16+, The Loft Apartment offers additional sleeping arrangements for up to 6 other people.

Want more privacy and romance? Add The Conservatory to your stay and get a private space with a king bed, double shower, and a soaking clawfoot tub for two. A stocked kitchenette and private deck easily make for slow mornings with coffee in hand.

A: We are minutes away from Dover, New Philadelphia, and Ohio’s largest Amish community. Nearby attractions include:

Q: What about COVID?
A: We are taking extra precautions to keep our properties disinfected, which includes the use of disinfectant on all door knobs, light switches, railings, faucet handles, etc... in addition to all high-use areas.

Q: Is Middlehaven pet friendly?
A: Well behaved pets are welcome with well behaved owners. Pets do need to be pre-approved and there is an additional $100/per pet fee.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient

We had a fantastic stay! The home was absolutely gorgeous, spotless, and had the perfect amount of space and activities for everyone—from kids ages 3 to 12 to six adults. It was well-equipped and close to lots of local attractions, making it a great home base. Highly recommend!

The house and property were incredible. We had 12 people and 2 dogs for 2 nights - and we felt at home. Rose thought of absolutely everything for the house. Only a few minutes from grocery stores/restaurants but you feel like you’re in your own world. Will definitely be back!

Boys Birthday Weekend

Our family hosted a 13th birthday party for our son. He and his friends were entertained all weekend. The property was stunning, the area is remote and private. The basketball court, game room and jacuzzi were a big hit. The house was decorated for the holidays, which made it feel like a home away from home. Rose was a dream to work with,she even got balloons for the birthday celebration. We can’t wait to come back!

Wedding Weekend

Middlehaven is immaculate and taken care of by excellent hosts in Brian & Rose. There were no problems throughout our wedding weekend and it was a huge relief to know we were in good hands. I’d list the amenities but I can just say there is everything you could need for a stay at Middlehaven and they have very thoughtfully put everything together.

We were thankfully able to find this house last minute after another reservation was canceled. This house was absolutely perfect for our 4th of July weekend vacation! Rose was absolutely wonderful and responded quickly to all of our questions! There was SO much to do and never once did we feel like we needed to leave the house: between the ponds, campfire, and game room basement. The house was also so cleanly when we arrived. Out of this world!!!

MIDDLEHAVEN WAS INCREDIBLE. This was my second stay at one of Roses homes. She is absolutely the best host and I never want to vacation anywhere else. Beautiful and Relaxing

From the time you walk in the door, everything is just perfect! The beautiful bedroom styles, the comfortable beds, the noise machines make this the most comfortable place to sleep! The kitchen is nice and big with anything you can possibly need including tea bags and coffee with creamer. The whole house is so very spacious! The views from the porches overlooking the two ponds and the woods area gives you such a sense of calmness. The hot tub is nice and big and of course relaxing. There is also a nice bonus of a thank you card from Rose and chocolate chip cookies!! We never pick the same house we are going to, but we have been to this house two years in a row! Definitely recommended!

Completely Amazing

The property was so beautiful! It was secluded, private and had everything we needed! Our family stayed here for a weekend getaway of time together! It begin snowing the night we arrived, which added to the serenity of the home, but first thing in the morning, Rose text me to see if we needed plowed! They were there to plow promptly! Details like this give this home a 10 star rating! The hot tub was perfect for a winter stay and if you don’t mind the cold, the walkways through the woods and around the property were still very enjoyable! We want to come back in the summer to enjoy it during another season. I definitely recommend!!!!

Top Tier Experience

I don't even know where to begin with the incredible experience we had at Middlehaven, but I guess I will start with that it felt like we were right at home. Rose provided everything that we could have possibly needed on site so we never had to leave the property. BUT if you wanted to go check out the town, she also provided information on that as well as promotions that you could take advantage of at local businesses. There is no detail left unthought of in this property, we absolutely will be returning to Middlehaven & hope to be able to rent out all of her properties in the future!

A True Gem

We found Middlehaven almost in happenstance but was fate! We have a large group, and we have a tradition of getting together for Thanksgiving because we live so far apart. Middlehaven was halfway between our houses. This home was cozy and welcoming from when we pulled up. The home is gorgeous inside and out, one of the most beautifully appointed properties we have been to. It had plenty of room and a large table- since that was important for us to enjoy our Thanksgiving meal together. It had ample space to spread out, hang out in the game room, play our holiday family games, hang out in the hot tub, and also watch a movie together at the end of the night. Since we game here in the winter, we want to come back to enjoy all of the outdoor activities! Thank you for a lovely stay to enjoy some family time!

Wonderful weekend!

Rose was lovely to work with. Believe her when she posts that she provides coffee,tea, sugar,etc. - Middlehaven has a "Coffee Bar" fit for a five star hotel! Several 12oz bags of high-end coffees pods in several flavors. The appliances are all top-notch and there are plentiful cups, glasses and dinnerware for a crowd. The towels are thick and our sheets were silky. There were actual bath mats, not just towel-material squares. Rose provides a small basket of toiletries in each bathroom, should you forget one of yours. The kitchen pantry has many "basics" like cooking spray and a shelf full of spices. All ten of us could dine at the large table and it enabled several fun-filled rounds of "Telestrations". There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own "space" if desired. Downtown Dover is only 7 miles away - grocery stores, churches, eateries. Almost forgot - there were yummy chocolate chip cookies from a local bakery waiting for us on arrival! Enjoy!

Beautiful getaway

Middlehaven is a slice of heaven! Our family spent 4 days there and it was nothing short of incredible. The house was beautifully decorated and well stocked with just about everything imaginable
 even down to a food processor. I’m the type of mom who enjoys cooking and this kitchen was perfect for my family’s needs. Perfect for all ages!! Pet friendly as well The game room was perfect for the kids and the adults enjoyed the hot tub. One of my favorites from our trip were the fresh baked dozen of chocolate chip cookies waiting for us upon arrival
 very tasty and they didn’t last long. Also, the coffee bar was adorable. I’d make myself a nice cup of hot tea and enjoy it on the patio overlooking the woods
 Spectacular scenery! I really could go on and on about this place seriously. My family spent some quality time and we definitely created some core memories. We spotted a black squirrel and a woodpecker. It’s currently mid march and the weather is breaking so we didn’t get to enjoy the swimming hole but it still provided an amazing view. Tons of outdoor activities to do while you’re there too. Such an incredible place with an AMAZING host. Rose is so personable and made everything a breeze. Looking forward to returning in the future

Absolutely Amazing

This house and property were exactly what we needed to host our friends/bridal party for the weekend of our wedding. We were so impressed with the house, the amenities, and seemingly endless things to do (between the arcade games, air hockey, hot tub, hammocks, swimming holes, basketball court... no one was ever bored!). Fully stocked with plenty of beverages, coffee, towels, soaps, paper towels, trash bags, etc., we never found ourselves running out of anything. The owners even stopped by at one point when we mentioned the paddleboards were flat (they pumped them for us!) and we couldn't find the balls for the foos ball table (they bought more and brought them over!). Things you might not even think of -- like having white noise machines in the bedrooms -- were included, and we kept noticing small touches like that throughout the house. All weekend, our whole group kept saying we wish we could make this an annual thing, and come stay here once a year. It really felt like our own private resort. So much fun was had by our entire group. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Unbelievably Amazing

What an amazing experience this was from booking through the end of our trip (and beyond!). The host (Rose) was very responsive, shared great information about the house and area ahead of time and was patient with changes we needed to make to our group after booking - the administrative part of the trip could not have been easier!! The grounds are gorgeous - wooded with 2 treated ponds and an outdoor lighted basketball court. The ponds have everything you need to use them - kayaks, standup paddle board, life jackets, floats, toys, abundant beach towels and 12 Adirondak chairs around a firepit right by the ponds. The pictures show the various spaces but don't fully capture how roomy everything is! We had 23 people and never felt cramped, even when we were all in the same space. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfy beds. We added on the loft which provided a perfect space for the one part of our family with younger children. Rose thought of every detail - plenty of towels, extra sheets and blankets, a stocked kitchen (we really appreciated the spice cabinet when we realized we forgot taco seasoning!), and so much entertainment!!! She also saved the day when I saw the stash of marshmallow roasting poles and realized I'd forgotten mine! The area was perfect - we made most of our meals in-house but ordered from Penso's (LOVED it!), visited a winery and brewery and even the revolutionary war fort nearby. We will definitely be booking another stay here!!!

Above and Beyond expectations

A fully equipped and spacious property for a large family (17 in ours) or a gathering of friends or a special event. The property and accommodations was well thought out. All high-end furniture, wall hangings, rugs, towels, game room games. The children came upon "fairies and gnomes " in hidden corners. The Narnia bedroom and Peter Rabit bathroom were very sweet and tastefully created. It is also a setting that encourages you to "disconnect". They have provided you numerous opportunities to spend time outside and have ,maybe purposefully, opted to only have 2 tvs which are both in the gameroom. Large tables for large groups, numerous chairs, solid stoneware dishes, stocked bar refrigerator with soda and water. Purposely do not have nicnacks around that could be broken. Hot tub was used day and night. Shower in the conservatory was awesome and tub on back porch was a treat. The basketball/pickleball/tennis court had daily action. Small children enjoyed the "beach" and older ones kayak races in the pond. Nightly gatherings around the firepit. You will love this property and all the accommodations they have to offer. Rose is a supercommunicator and always responsive. She understands the hospitality business and takes every opportunity to see that her guests are well cared for.

Everything about Middlehaven and our host rose was 5 stars. I can’t say enough about this property. Rose knows how to make her guests feel welcome- from the chocolate chip cookies and smores to the dog supplies - everything was above and beyond. I’ve never stayed at a property that was so accommodating and stocked. She doesn’t just allow you to stay at her properties she tries to make sure you have everything you need and more. I would come to Dover just to stay at one of her properties. The house and grounds were exceptional!

This place was absolutely amazing! Pictures don’t do it justice. Our kids cried when we left because they had such an amazing time. It’s peaceful, beautiful, quiet, clean and there is so much to do between the game room and the ponds. We already are planning our next trip to come back!

Wonderful home for families

Middlehaven was everything it was meant to be. We have a large family (ages pre-born to 73) and everyone had their own space. We enjoyed family time of meals, games and relaxing. The children loved both ponds, the waterfall and the game room. Rose is an expert at thinking about all the needs of her guests. The cookies, tote bag, little surprise box, etc were all appreciated. Highly recommend this beautiful home! We will return! Thank you, Rose & Brian!
