The Spanish Jewel, resting high atop a hill overlooking Green Valley Park & Lake with panoramic views of the town and the distant mountains, is a step back in time, a serene place specifically designed for you to relax, to unplug, and to unwind. More a charming cottage than cabin, this jewel on the mount is beckoning you to visit and to create moments and memories to last a lifetime. A bit quirky, a bit luxe, The Spanish Jewel really is a magical space just waiting to put a spell on you.
The Spanish Jewel was meticulously constructed over fifty years ago by a local artisan/craftsman using many antique pieces and architectural salvage items. Over the last two years the property has experienced a comprehensive 'sprucing' of its original details. This 'sprucing' coupled with the detailed addition of new amenities has been successful in achieving today's standards of Mountain Luxe. The Jewel has a large Living Room w/a window wall overlooking the mountains, a remote-controlled propane fireplace, 40" flatscreen w/cable & internet. There is a lovely updated eat-in Kitchen, Laundry Room, one bedroom on the main floor, and a bedroom in the cozy 'crow's nest' loft. The bath has a shower w/spa showerhead, sumptuous fluffy hotel-grade towels, & complimentary body wash, shampoo, & conditioner. The Main Bedroom offers an upholstered Queen bed w/new 'Beautyrest Black' luxury hybrid mattress, dual control heated mattress pad, infrared electric fireplace, & exit to a charming flagstone terrace with a propane firepit and vistas of the town below and the Mazatzal Mountains beyond.

The more time spent there, the more the realization became that it is a magical place and needs to be shared with others. My mission is to provide my guests the same comforts and level of service that I enjoy when I travel. A favorite note from one of my guests upon arrival... "Hi George, I just wanted to let you know that your place is just magical! One of the best airbnbs I have stayed in. I just wanted to thank you for offering such an awesome place!"
