My name is Arlene Edwards. My parents built the house the year I was born in 1959. My father Alfred and mother Cidelia raised 8 children in this house, with 1 bathroom --just imagine.
I purchased the house after my mother died in 1985. She was 46 years old. I bought the house and finished raising my 5 younger brothers and 2 daughters in this same home. This house holds lots of wonderful memories and brought lots of joy to our family. We still celebrate our Christmas together in this home, with as many as 5 christmas trees, more food than can be eaten and sometimes as many as 100 people. No, we don't have a sit down dinner but we do play lots of musical chairs thoughout the night. If you get up you basically loose your seat. We totally enjoy our time together as we watch the younger children attack Santa when he comes in the door. So we continue to make special memories year after year.
