Our villa offers a unique blend of Japanese architecture and philosophy, creating a peaceful and neutral atmosphere.
Design inspired by Romanian architects Studio 2.1
We aimed for a serene and neutral atmosphere by using color and material scheme of rough wood, stone, earth tones, terrazzo, clay textures.
Natural light is one of the most important features that defines the space through the big wooden windows that remind us of a Japanese home.
The floors, also made of natural materials, are giving the visitor the experience of feeling the different textures by stepping barefoot on them and announcing each space by its typology – we used handmade terrazzo for the living room, natural wood for bedrooms and terracotta for bathrooms. The living space provides a common area with open kitchen, dining room and sink-in lounge. It is a hybrid space that offers the possibility to be opened using the sliding doors and thus it communicates directly with the exterior, while the bedrooms have a private exterior bathroom each and also the same type of big wooden windows that beautifully links the two spaces as one.
All furniture is handmade by local artisans using natural materials such as wood and stone, made-to-measure following our sketches.
The exterior is defined by the pool area and some social spaces where the guests are invited to spend time together.
Every piece was carefully chosen to define a place to relax and unwind.
