"Tyler cabin named No. 1 in Tyler Area for 2018". Custom built Cabin tucked away on our East Texas Farm peeking out over beautiful Lake Palestine. We combined a unique assortment of refurbished wood to give our new cabin that cozy farm feel. It's a peaceful place to get away and refresh! Has a full kitchen with range/oven. Keeping with our Classic Movie theme, Little Reata got it's name from the Epic film "Giant", starring Rock Hudson, Elizabeth Taylor & James Dean.

The cabin has a couch below that makes into a full bed. There are extra linens provided in the couch.
The Cabin is perfect for romantic getaways. What makes it unique is the compact luxury/roughness. Come see to understand. It is ideal for couples, but can accommodate a small family. It is a small space for more than 2 adults. Due to the nature of our construction and owner having severe skin allergies we have a strict no pet policy! We do all the laundry and most of the cleaning ourselves and CANNOT accommodate animals of any kind. Please respect our health and do not ask for exceptions.
Cable TV and ground internet are not available here in the woods. We have Limited jet pack Wi-Fi available. Come to unplug and enjoy the Romance, Nature and Beautiful outdoors!

Trails to Lake Palestine, it is a natural shoreline, no beach area and swimming and fishing are at your own risk. We have a couple of natural ponds on the property and an Artesian Outdoor Cold Bath for a refreshing 70 degree cold water soak! Guests are welcome to explore the pond area, get in the cold water outdoor bath , but we ask that you do not fish from the ponds at this time, we are still developing this area!
The shared hot tub is for use by all of our adult guests.
Disc Golf Course on the property for all guests to enjoy. Somewhat difficult course and found on UDisc at lakecabinescape in Flint, TX . Bring your own Disc!
Our cabins are built for exploring the outdoors, not the best place for indoor movie watchers:) limited internet availability
So come sit on the front porch and enjoy the view or build a campfire and enjoy the stars!!

Our home is nearby and we are usually around if there is a need, you may see us working in our gardens, on the landscape or walking through the property. There are 5 cabins total & the trails, lake access, fishing pier, hot tub, ponds, and cold water bath are all shared areas of the property. Our Natural landscape provides plenty of space to get outdoors and interact with Nature and explores God's creation.

This is the Lake Palestine area. A 25,000 acre fishing & recreation lake with 121 shoreline miles. The cabins are near the Tyler lift station which you can hear on occasion. It is on the deeper part of the lake.
We are in the woods and near Lake Palestine within walking distance to a natural shoreline (no beach area). there is a Brookshires grocery and few fast foods about 2 miles away. City of Tyler is about a 20 minute drive with plenty of shopping, restaurants & entertainment. City of Tyler has plenty to do and see. There are several cute rural towns nearby with some local wineries and antique shopping to explore also!

You are welcome to walk and explore the property or follow the trail to the lake. Please use only the driveway designated for your cabin for the safety and privacy of all our guests.

There is a Brookshires Grocery store approximately 1 mile away. Chiggers are out in the tall grass by May 15th- Mid August use bug spray when exploring.
The Cabin is in the woods and at the lake so you can expect bugs, poison Ivy, occasional snakes and other natural critters you find in the woods so please be aware and alert! We strive to protect the Natural Texas Ecosystem as much as possible and provide a safe Natural habitat for local wildlife to thrive and have a place to raise their young. Our property can be native and slightly overgrown during the growing seasons of the year. We also farm organically around the property. We try to be chemical free and only use pesticides for nuisance pests as needed. Spiders and lake bugs are all part of the Natural Texas Ecosystem at the Lake.

We’re excited to host you! Please take a moment to review our house rules to help ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for everyone.

About the Space:
Our cozy cabin is ideal for couples or small families. Due to its size and layout, we recommend our property for guests twenty two years and older.

Safety First:

Use caution when moving around the cabin, especially on stairs and the loft ladder.

The loft is steep and not safe for young children.

Be mindful while exploring the trails and lake areas, Use life vests when entering the lake access places. Swim & fish at your own risk.

Shared & Private Spaces:

The hot tub, trails, and lake areas are shared among the cabins. Three cabins share the central Hot Tub. All cabins share the Lake access, fishing spots. pond areas, cold Plunge and disc golf course. Please be courteous of other guests at all times.

The grill and fire pit are private to each cabin.

Do not place the grill on the porch, and never leave a fire unattended.

Guest Conduct:

No smoking, parties, or unregistered guests allowed, even for day use. Please ask if you are having visitors.

Each hot tub is for adults only.

Pet Policy:
Due to the nature of our construction and the owner's severe skin allergies, we cannot allow any animals—no exceptions. We personally handle most of the cleaning and laundry, so thank you for understanding and respecting this rule.
