Stylish Guesthouse In A Convenient And Beautiful Santa Barbara Neighborhood
This brand new bright and beautifully designed 1 bedroom guesthouse is a dreamy spot conveniently tucked away on a quiet street behind the Historic Mission and walking distance to Handlebar Coffee and Trader Joes. The natural light filled cottage was designed by a Studio Shamshiri architect and has been carefully curated with state of the art fixtures, built in custom furniture, and high end appliances. High ceilings and skylights create a spacious light filled kitchen. A door from the bathroom leads directly into a private outdoor rain shower and the large patio is framed by beautiful landscaping for the classic California indoor/outdoor lifestyle experience.
The queen size bed and sofa are built in, but otherwise the cottage is set up to rent either furnished or unfurnished. Wifi is fast. *Linen Roman shades have been added to all of the windows since the photos were taken. The outdoor shower attached to the bathroom is the only shower in the casita.
An efficient heat pump provides heat and AC.

Colleen and Andy are a young couple absolutely in love with their Santa Barbara home and lifestyle. Colleen is a local business owner and graduate of Westmont College. Andy is a documentary filmmaker and recent Oregon transplant. Together, they love to surf, hike, swim, and eat delicious food. Colleen has lived in Santa Barbara for 15 years and through he business has become a fixture of the community.

The neighborhood behind the Historic Mission and Natural History Museum is one of the most magical in Santa Barbara. It's quiet and all of the neighbors are very friendly, longtime residents. The walkability of the neighborhood is exceptional--whether for a stroll through the woods, or to the Mission lawn for a picnic, or to Handlebar for a cup of coffee. The property this house is situated on is truly special--it's the first house that was built in the neighborhood on corner lot anchored by a beautiful mature oak tree. This place is one of a kind!

Colleen and Andy put great thought and care into the design of their home. They took inspiration from the materials and aesthetic of Mallorca, then added uniquely Santa Barbara elements. For an especially unique touch, they designed the bathroom around a beautiful outdoor shower. They hope you enjoy living in their space as much as they enjoyed creating it!
