The space
We are located in a neighborhood with sidewalks that will connect you directly to many attractions such as the famous Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, Tarpon's beautiful beaches and Pinellas County's wounderful biking trail - the "Pinellas Trail", which extends from one end of the county to the other. All of this is less than 1.5 miles away from the home. It's a bit of a walk, but it is a beautiful area. There are bike rental companies nearby which would compliment your stay.
The TV includes Direct TV (D-Stream with the Go Big channel package which includes the sports channels), Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, HBO Max and Amazon Prime TV.
Beach Details:
Sunset Beach is 1.5 miles away with, you guessed it, amazing sunsets. There's also a volleyball net for your enjoyment along with cookout/party pavilions and playgrounds.
Howard Park Beach is less than 1.5 miles away with its beautiful sand and gorgeous sunsets, nice bike/hiking trails amongst the beautiful oak tree hammocks, cookout/party pavilions and playgrounds.
At only 1 mile away, Dodecanese Boulevard's famous "Sponge Docks" is full of things to do, which include many restaurants and desert shops that rival Athens Greece itself. You must try souvlaki and baklava... unbelievably good and a must if you've never had them. And of course the best gyros (pronounced - YEE-ros) in America. Tarpon Springs is the largest Greek community in the United States, so they know how to do it right. The Sponge Docks also has some wonderful novelty attractions like the Dolphin Encounter Boat Tour, which guarantees dolphin sightings. There's also a boat tour where you can experience the ancient tradition of sponge diving - watch a sponger dive into the water and bring up an actual living sponge. Visit the Aquarium and interact with local aquatic and reptilian life or watch shows featuring sharks, alligators, snakes and eels. Throughout the day you can enjoy live music in the square, and there's more shopping than you can imagine - buy real coral or sponges, jewelry, clothes, and all of the tourist trinkets that you can imagine. There are half and full day deep sea fishing charters for the adventurous at heart. After visiting and experiencing Greece myself for a summer, I personally feel Tarpon Springs truly rivals the experience.
Clearwater Beach and all of its glory (rated one of the top beaches in the world) is a 30 minute drive away with parasailing, indoor surfing at Surf Style, jet ski rental, the public Jolly Trolly transportation system, high speed boat tours, dolphin encounters. And don't forget the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where you can meet Winter and Summer, the dolphins from the movies Dolphin Tale 1 and 2.
And as far as theme parks go, Busch Gardens is only a 45 minute ride, and then there's the famous Orlando parks (Universal / Disney / SeaWorld) which are an hour and a half away.
Weeki Wachee river is less than an hour ride with it's beautifully clear freshwater spring that boasts a water park with water slides, snorkeling and it's world famous mermaid shows. There are even canoe/kayak rentals available there where you can coast down the crystal clear waters for 6 miles and then be conveniently driven back to the park to your car.
There's so much more available in the area that you will not be at a loss for things to do. Let us know what your interests are and we will make sure to have you well informed when you arrive for a vacation packed with fun, relaxation and memories that will last a lifetime.
Guest access
You will have complete access to the first floor living area with an electronic combination lock. There are two parking spaces available for your use.
Other things to note
If you have more than 2 cars, please inform us and we will try to accommodate.
Pool Heater option: We do not add the cost of the pool heater into the standard daily rate as there are some that would prefer not to use the heater or may not swim at all. For those who would like to use the pool heater, we do charge a daily rate to cover the cost of electricity, maintenance and the cost of equipment. We allow guests to set the pool heater to whatever temperature they prefer, up to 92°. The cost to heat the pool is a minimum charge of $75 which includes the use for a two day reservation. For reservations longer than two days, it is an additional $25 added per day. (We remotely enable the pool heater, please inform us if you would like it enabled one or two days prior as it does take time to heat the entire pool on cold months... maybe even a few days. simply request the amount of days prior and we can enable it.)
Example: 3 day reservation would be $75 plus $25 = $100 pool heater costs.
